Respect is not brought about by age or achievements, brother.

You spoke to a player and a teammate in the dressing room then give him the go ahead to return to the pitch for the second half.

Rather than tell him he would be substituted for the second half, you tell him to return to the pitch.

Just when the player is already on the pitch and getting hyped for the half, you withdraw him before the referee even begins the half.

I've never seen this in a game before, and that's disrespectful regardless of age or achievements.
Why cry more than the bereaved, so the coach is not allowed to change his mind?

Couple of blunders like what ?

He didn’t make any blunder against Egypt ,he didn’t do anything that caused any goal today but a couple of blunders ,you Dey hear yourself ?
Subzero047 has already quoted my previous post on the blunders in this match alone, so I wont repeat it or u want to claim that those didnt happen?

Nigerians and wahala

Maduka is not my favorite but he hasn’t put a wrong hand at this afcon so far
Let's call a spade a spade. He has made a couple of blunders in the tournament already, all these he hasnt put a wrong foot forward are all lies.

Its better you speak on his overall performance to counter.

Let’s not forget Salah is still barren because of Okoye. He looked very composed against Egypt though
That's not the problem, I gave him kudos for that singular save in the last match but being without any pressure gives our opponents the confidence to come at him with all they've got.

Please stop this.

Okoye is the Number 1. Support him no matter how uncool you are with him in Goal. To be Frank, he hasn't put a foot wrong in this tournament.
what?? he hasn't put a wrong foot forward?? make we take am easy dey cap.

I can count three in this match alone off the top of my head without rewatching.

First, he jumped to catch a ball (not under pressure I must add) and dropped the ball, luckily the Sudan forward wasnt close enough to make us pay.

Second he tried punch out a ball and it dropped right in front of him, luckily it was a green shirt.

Third, when he tried to dive to try an mop up the ball that Omeruo not took out.

Omeruo doesn't trust him to get the ball and I don't blame him.

It's rare for Super Eagles to always be involved in those shits. Anything that happens, we always accept it in good fate
the only thing that brings that kind of reaction in them is when the opposing team tried to bully their teammate, I've seen it couple of times but give unfavourable call they'd barely protest.

When you play in a low level league for one season you can say you are being discovered. For two seasons in you could say your unlucky but three it's because your not good enough.

There's one Simon was falling down and caught the boot of the player
It's the same one, he tripped and fell on the player when the player moved, watch his feet its not planted properly.

You think Iwobi would've got the ball?
He might have, but we wouldn't know now. There was a better chance of making that pass than scoring from that angle because he had a goalkeeper and a defender closing him down.

Ask them?

I don't want to criticise Simon's game, because we won.
We see what we see.

Top performers

Ndidi,
Iheanacho.
Simon worked the most so its expected that he'd make more mistakes, most of the balls were coming to him all angles. He was always at the back defending against Zizo and at the same tormenting the Egyptian defenders. He's my best player today, same way we always give it to Osimhen even when he misses sitters.

Credit to all the boys nice one. Kudos to Eguavoen for the game plan that starved Salah of the ball.

Warriors shift from Ndidi.

Ejuke still has to develop football IQ.

Ekong did well best game in the Nigerian jersey.

Okoye wasn't troubled much but looked imposing finally made a crucial save.

Enjoy your victory tonight boys you earned it grin
Finally oooo, we thank God for Okoye but he still has to work on his ball distribution.

Numerous blunders indeed. Biased people.

If Maduka was the one who spilled that shot in the video, you and your likes would've spent 10 pages here criticizing him on why he's not good enough
He spilled in training, how many times has he spilled in actual matches and compare it to the number of saves he's made. Nobody hates Maduka but he has not earned his starting spot. Maduka barely makes any one on one saves and thats what we're worried about.

Stop saying what u don't know..
Uzoho played two laliga games for his club before making his super eagles debut..
He had more experience than Okoye who was brought from the German fourth division...
You dey mind Southgate, thats how he was questioning why Uzoho is still at his ''lowly" club when he knows fully well that Uzoho was injured for months, while on duty for us I might add, and you thought it wont slow down his career club wise, Rohr too still sidelined him when he returned from injury without giving him a chance even after numerous blunders by Maduka.

Wow injury just before the tournament, not good but such things happen. I would encourage the gaffer not to rush his return, infact it might just be better long term to let him sit out this tournament so that the injury doesn't recur. Wait o, can he be replaced now with Amoo since CAF allows replacement of injured players.
