Curtisaxel10: What I love the most about today's game is how the coach read the game, made one tactical switch and turned the match around.
It seems we finally have a real game reader for a coach. Exciting times ahead.
PS: Peseiro did exhibit some Rohr-ish traits though. Like refusing to remove Chukwueze until around the 80th minute even when it was clear that Samu had gassed out around the late 60s. And we had a fresh Dennis and Lookman on the bench!.
Also, Osimhen got injured towards the end and was limping around in pain but Peseiro somehow preferred to keep him on in that state than to bring on a fresh Dessers or Moffi (until extra time). I just can't wrap my head around that decision.
On the whole, good show! The Osimhen change was on the ref, Moffi came off the bench but the ref refused to allow the change. |

Blueelf: He could've saved the first goal
Still not convinced
Our defence looked in total disarray at time
It's obvious we are lacking a commanding CB. Please Ekong should just go to Stanbic IBTC pension managers and collect his pension. HE is done Nah for the first goal, cut Uzoho some slack, he was quick to react, there were two strikers in front any of which could have gotten to the ball, you should ask why the defenders were sleeping. |

Home based players have zero marking ability running around the pitch chasing balls, if they started the first half, the scoreline would definitely have been different |

temi1290: You guys are more critical of Bassey's performance against Ghana than you are for Uzoho, you'll think he (Bassey) was the one that committed the error that led to Ghana's goal, "I WiLl pICk omErUO ovER bASSey", always hyping mediocre players not worthy enough to make the standby list of San Marino's NT,* spits *. Oga rest everyone knows Uzoho committed a blunder but the way you guys are hyping Bassey as if he's already the finished product, we've seen him play in GWG and he was shaky in the two Ghana games caught out of position on numerous occasions, he'll come good for us we know, but right now he's not proven that he can start ahead of Balogun/Omeruo. |

Barryseal: Nobody is contesting the fact that clubs pay more than national teams, but for an African club, the differential is quite huge. $70K is bare minimum in the industry. Even your chart suggests Gernot Rohr was the least paid at the last world cup, when eye brows were raised at his meagre $50K salary. He couldn't have been the least paid at the World Cup with Senegal and Tunisia there, off the top of my head, and the word cup is best of the best and he still wasnt the least paid there. |

Barryseal: Don't stress yourself if you're screaming because of his salary. $70k per month is way below the market prize for even a D-list coach. Pitso at AL Ahly Nationale earns $160K. He was previously on 120k but his new contract was increased. I shudder to think we struggle to pay our national team coach half of what an Egyptian club pays their coach. The bar is really low. I dont think national team coaches earn as much as their club side counterpart likely due to the workload of week in, week out games at the club. Its not exactly cause this is Nigeria, we're one of the highest paying in Africa, I might add.

BascoVanVeli: She's not a better option than Uchenna Kanu. I disagree she makes better decisions within and around the box than Uchenna. Kanu might have better shots outside the box but most times makes the wrong call under pressure. |

lovewins: I think we should be particular about certain skill set and that should inform who should be first on the pecking order. In my opinion we need someone who is skilled and confident enough to take shots outside the box. Any of them who is more skilled in this wise will be my choice Esther and Oshoala should play on the wings while Ifeoma plays in the center. |

isan: In a tough game like this can't Regina otu and ucheibe play together ? Sitting deep and giving Ajibade more freedom to go forward All these player you guys are mentioning shey u know they were not available for the match sha. The coach knows his team and once he has his full squad we can then assess them. We had only 3 forwards for these matches where we usually have 8-9 forwards in the full squad, even the formation was mostly to maximize the number of defender we had on ground. |

lovewins: He had options
He could have brought in Ogbonna, Mbadi or Onyi
I really expected him to bring in Onyi and Nicole at same time. Both players could help with easy transition and ease pressure on our defence. Defensively he could have brought in Ogbonna or Mbadi.
Even if all the sub achieve was to give the girls a few seconds to breathe some air, it would have worked. He probably wouldn't have removed Rita Chikwelu who had an horrible first half, if she hadn't been injured.
Yes we have a lean bench, but he could have done something Nicole came in and was still bamboozled off the ball a couple of times, so he knows he needed battle ready players to match the canadians, even the experienced players were panicking and losing the ball not to talk of younger players with less caps, so making those changes was a difficult decision and I cant blame him for that. |

ceejayMAX: ogah like 6 people dey bench that would match the tactics he wants to play or he should just scatter the team's shape because he wants to make changes. Acknowledge that there were challenges with the bench first, then we can discuss further. |

lovewins: Randy is solely responsible for the draw. We should have won this game. We conceded the second goal cause of the bench. The players were clearly fatigued, all he needed to do was make some changes. It's a friendly for God's sake, why keep tired players playing?
The girls showed grit and commitment. Many things to work on, but big kudos to the girls How many changes could he make with a virtually empty bench. |

Good decision, takes the attention and pressure off Oshoala but I'm sure they handled it terribly, because she says she's just hearing about it from the media. As they were supposed have a discussion to inform her on the reasons why they're taking the decision so she understands its for the best and not borne out of animosity. |

hismail1: Nigerian football has not been this poorly run in my lifetime. To be honest, its a good decision, she hasn't performed very well with the additional responsibility of being the captain. She's a very passionate player and that might affect her play if she's believes everyone is looking to her to perform every game. |

chrisooblog: They are athletes not politicians. Because they are popular doesn't mean everything they say or do is right. No one should complain that someone influenced you to vote for anyone because we're are all grown ass adults who should be mature enough to make your decisions. If they influence you as an individual to vote for anyone then too bad for you because you had a choice to refuse.
Instead of bellyaching on some people's political choices I'll rather use that energy to mobilize and campaign for my own choice to win.
In 2015 a section of nollywood endorsed GEJ he still lost. Some footballers backed Abacha's attempt to be president we all know what happened in the end.
People will do what they will do. On your part campaign hard for your choice. If you truly believe that they shouldn't have any influence on other people when then do you think there's need to mobilise and campaign for your own choice? The truth is they do have an influence it was disgusting to watch what they did with that influence. |
