Yeah. We might not even need him in Qatar (if we qualify).
Exactly, why would I as a coach make plans with a player that's not guaranteed to show up? I might as well remove him from my plans alltogether. Nobody should come and cry on this thread when he's excluded from the World Cup list.

When you ain't treated like everyone else, there is always a need to ask for assurances especially when you appreciate your value.

If Rohr had invited him when he invited others, Dennis wouldn't ask for assurances, if actually he did ask for one.
Dead that one abeg, no other play was given assurances before being invited, now you want a particular player to be treated differently so that people will later start shouting egunje up and down this thread.

Caulker made public his intention to change his international allegiance on the 27th of September 2021. That was when he made the intention.

The Sierra Leone football association then were able facilitate his FIFA clearance in good time to present thier team list to CAF in December 2021.

So you can make an informed projection of 3-6 weeks as a matter of fact. His FIFA clearance was confirmed in the media in early December.

Somehow the small Sierra Leone football association can complete the administrative switch of allegiance in less than 6 weeks. But the NFF will take 3 years.

Many will want to defend the indefensible here and create a narrative of disinformation and misinformation to justify the unjustifiable. But what's new , it's normal practice.

Nobody had ever questioned why it took Akpoguma overnight essentially to get FIFA clearance and play for the SE. Particularly when he was making public his rejection of Nigeria, players Like Ademola, Ejaria, etc were making their commitments public.
Ademola clearly just made the decision to play for Nigeria official this year, he obviously wanted the English FA to make a move. Again, this is not the first time the English FA has delayed the switch of their youth internationals for us, same thing was done with Iwobi's switch.

Ajayi has been part of the Nigerian youth system , that's what got him into the SE not club performances and or dominance.

When you have gone through the Nigerian youth system you have an advantage , you simply know who you need to see.

So they process nationality switch faster/slower based on the said player's value? It's like something is seriously wrong with you.
Let's be realistic, I know crying has become a hobby for you guys, but the English FA has delayed the switch process for talents they're still interested in capping, this has been done a couple of times now and should not be surprising to anyone.

Rohr never rated Dennis, he had to bulge to pressures from fans before sneaking in his name to the list. On the other hand, Dennis doesn't rate us either. I don't think he has that Osimhen kind of love for this country. I think it's best he stays with his club while those who have hunger to play come in to don our jerseys..

By the way, most of the speakers on the space are bit pessimistic as if all other countries are doing something fantastic as regards preparation at the moment.
I think say na Euros we dey go play o, because someone even said we can't make the quarterfinals with this our preparations.

There are rules and regulations in every form of life. If you fail to obey simple rules that you were aware of, from the on set, it’s on you shawdy
So why does the rule not apply to the other clubs that were also sent emails, lets not even go far, why does the rule not apply to his teammate Ekong?

So, what legitimate reason do they have to refuse Dennis arrival at Afcon?
I'm saying if that's their reason then its not legitimate, because we're calling up replacements who were not previously informed.

Like they're saying we sent an email late, what of they new invitees are their clubs not being informed just now, please NFF has no fault for this, if other clubs can release their players that are just being invited why should we informing watford weeks ahead?

I want to hear Dennis alleged official reason for his exclusion because if it’s because of “late invitation” from the NFF side, someone has to be suspended WTF
Not everytime blame NFF, if CAF didnt complain that we sent in our list late, why would any club make that complaint and no other club complained o. What's so special about Watford?

If we are still using Rohr's selections why did we sack Rohr again, you have listed the changes you would have made if you were the coach why are you now making excuses for a coach who has been paid to make them
So Eguavoen, should have done what exactly, overhaul the existing team just two weeks to a major tournament.
His best bet was to stick with the existing players and only make necessary changes, he can then integrate 'new players' post AFCON.

Olisa and Nwakali have been called up to teams that Eguavoen was in charge prior to now, so I can understand his sentiment.

Once again, the problem with Nigerians is our tolerance for mediocrity. We have such high tolerance for mediocrity from our leaders and have people justifying it. First of all, Rohr was on “elegbete tv” confirming that Lookman and ejaria were included in his 40 Man ANC squad. (The interview is on YouTube) and what makes you think that an “in form” player at the premier league wouldn’t assimilate and perform at the African soil?? Also, isn’t it much better to give an inform player a chance to prove himself rather than someone that has been given multiple chances and still disappointing.. like I said, we as super eagles fans has to stop accepting mediocrity
It has nothing to do with mediocrity, this a proper tournament, you cant be experimenting at tournaments, there's no guarantee that he hit the ground running with the team, club side performance does not always translate, Onuachu is a clear example!

Going to a tournament with 4 goal keepers
grin grin
Covid 19 might be the reason for that, multiple players could test positive on a single match day and goalkeeper is not a position you can easily swap players for or change formations.

I am a fierce critique of Maigari. He had his shortcomings. However, we can not deny his vision. Today, reflecting back, I am proud he led the NFF.
Vision bawo abeg abeg abeg

Pinnick may not be the best, but he's done his bit in moving the needle forward.

He made Super Eagles a brand corporate Nigeria wanted to associate with, got all those endorsement, rectified the kit issue and got us Nike with a sensible contract and knew to demand for more when the branding issue was resolved.

I know we like to criticise as Nigerians but make we dey take am soffery. grin
