I have been battling installation of my 2.4m offset dish, i bought the dish alone and have had to fabricate everything else. The problem now is the the reception is not any better than a 90cm dish, i am getting multitv, nigcomsat, 36e at 90% on my strong decoder infact non has gon beyond 90%. Worst still is that i dont get any satellite when the dish is facing up, from 16e, 13e, 10e etc has been red all throught.

What am i doing wrong?

Lnb holder is 163cm long, support is 200cm

the way you placed your lnb arms are bad. I will post the picture of mine later in the day.

Please, is it possible to attatch 7'e to TSTV or any other satellite?

I believe it is possible since 3°W is not far from 7°E though expect only the strong transponders (frequencies). To be specific, I have not tried it.

Thanks my good ppl for helps, but we spent almost the whole afternoon yesterday, with nothing to show for it, not even 1% signal quality. Although both me and my cousins are not pros, I atleast expected a little flicker, but zilch. Maybe it is because I only have a 60cm dish here, I might have to source for a bigger sized dish, maybe 90" or 1m.

60cm dish is too small for TSTv. Look for 90cm or 1m dish.

Try and edit it to 11804 V 27500, save and exit from the menu and check if it will start scanning.

its very clear that the device has developed some fault,just look very a good technician that can handle almost all kinds of receiver's problem to fix it for u,or if you know that its not reparable just go for a new one.
Mainwhile,how much did you buy the xcruiser satfinder?

Go to the menu, setting and change the scanning transponder (frequency) to DSTv active transponder.

The fuuny aspect is that both the primary and secondary are having same issue, I even tried to swap output btw the dual lnbf. the thing is really frustrating

I lent my xcruiser xs5500d satellite finder to a friend last two weeks ago and I wanted to use it last two days being Saturday and I discovered that each time I try to connect it with lnbf the sat finder start blinking with orange light indicating that it was wrongly connected whereby it was connected properly. This problem have persisted even though that I have tried different lnbf. Can any one suggest a solution to this problem before I buy another one?, Thank you all as I look forward to hear from you guys.

Gurus in the house pls help me out with the issue I am having with my Dstv decoder.

I had to change location, then I tracked the signal with strong decoder, the signal I got is very high 81% and the dish station and other CCTV china stations are working fine with the strong decoder, but when I try to connect it to the Dstv decoder directly, it just quit scanning but if i remove the signal wire the decoder will remain on.

I don't knw why. pls guys I need ideas asap. thanks in anticipation

Change your lnbf. You will be stuck in this kind of problem with out getting the solution since the signal is detectable with strong receiver.

Pls is there a site or method to determine the arms length because I tried to get the focal length of my 1.2m vsat dish to no avail till date. Got the dish without the tripod arms.

sometimes that calculations to get the accurate measurement for the focal length of a dish doesn't work as being quoted due to some certain specification of the dish. So, I advice you to look around where you can get measurement of the arms from a similar dish. Make sure that what you measured from the similar dish are higher than what you saw on the similar dish, then start adjusting the focal length as you are tracking some satellites. I hope this helps.

I have successful got this sat. all important channels are locked. Channel 13 broadcast champions league selected matches. But I tested Cccam account to open the channels. Sport1 , 2,3 and 4 are there and opened. but no sport 5 ni Sport5 +. Sport1 and sport5 broadcast premier league. but Champions league is on Sport5 and 5+. if you're planning to use use account track 4W. Language is Persian, as were teams name!!!

Good evening, I think my strong srt 4950 just got bricked for good, I was trying to upgrade the software then before it could reach 45% there was power failure, now power is back but the decoder can't switch on again. It is showing something like " cannot find rom. bin". Am stuck and confused, could there be a way to revive it? .

try and download original firmware of your receiver from www.strong-technologies.com and rename the extension to "rom.bin" and put it into a clean usb flash drive. Switch off your receiver from the back, plug in the usb drive into your receiver then press the power button that is on the front of your receiver, then switch on your receiver while holding the power button and you will see your receiver come back to life. Don't put the quote when renaming the software, just end the software'name with rom.bin

No problem. I will do that tomorrow in the evening. I would have measure it tomorrow in the morning but am not around now.
Concerning the catch on 4°W, I only want to feel the new bird there since channel 13 that airs live soccer is being hosted on that position, test the signal strength of that bird in our area.

Again, I don't know if I was getting Sky Italia on 13°E as I deleted all the encrypted channels then (I usually delete encrypted channels on my receiver immediately after scanning) and immediately IR Cama left hotbird, I quickly moved my dish to 9°E though am planning to run to 4°W probably by next week if am free by then. Then, my IR Cama use to crack but not so bad.

Brothers i finaly got the mbc at 7 west yesterday but i discovered something , i used eagle star cable to track the mbc with my lnb between 10 and 11 and also check between 4 and 5 it is still ok , so this morning i used GBC cable to make sure it reachs where my diseqc was at the back of my house . to my surprise it did not show green again and the lnb is still between 10 and 11 and i turn the lnb to 4 and 5 still it shows red, then i decided to turn the lnb round to my surprise when the lnb reach at 1 o clock the green shows and also turn it again to make sure i get better signal then when its reachs at 7 oclock it shows green again

so members if you tracking mbc at 7 west check the cable and know the type to know where your lnb will be

if you use eagle star then put your lnb normal place which is 10 and 11 or 4 and 5 but if you use gbc cable then 1 oclock or 7 oclock

...ku band and it's transponder is 11095 H 11480. You can track it with 3m dish and above if you are in 9ja. Receivable on 4°W.

Of course you can get an Intel board (not easy to find). Too many variants. But the graphics won't be "dedicated". - and yes, same power requirement.

Hello all, I need your help. I have a laptop ... HP Pavilion Dv7 3028ca Entertainment that is made with AMD motherboard and the motherboard is now bad. So my question now is, can I find a motherboard of another higher end laptop that can fit in to my laptop (HP Pavilion Dv7 3028ca Entertainment) that uses dedicated GPU (graphic card) and at the same time has the same power requirements, has connectors in relatively the same spots etc.
