They might keep Alexis, since age is on his side and he did cost a lot. But not Villa, he's past it. Better to sell him now before he becomes difficult to get rid of.

Anyway, Bartomeu (Barca VP) has already indicated that the club is interested in signing a goalkeeper, a central defender, and a forward in the summer. Unless that forward happens to be Neymar.

He's among the most marketable athletes in the world and Rosell knows this. The shirt sales, sponsor money etc will be a lot bigger than what Barca pays for him. That's why Santos would have preferred to keep him and then let him go for free, because his marketing value is huge, second to only Messi and Cristiano. So in fact, in the big picture, signing Neymar will benefit us financially rather than damage us.
