Now I see why divorce is on the rise. No one wants to make the first move.
Ha ha ha ha ha... Don't be ridiculous. Its not a crime if a girl makes the move. Besides, if a girl makes a move to you, would you ever despise her for that?

Just told her to break the ice since possibilities are endless and you never can tell whom she is gonna get on here. It might just be that the both of you are compatible. Just saying... mekaboy: Because ur afraid of being embarrassed in public.
Ummm.... More like it. I'd choose staying out of a relationship for 4 years over getting embarrassed. My personality doesn't permit embarrassment, worst of all in public. Nah!
Romance › Re: Please Ur Advice Is Needed. by dmcdad: 8:57am On May 14, 2013
Nice one gurly. I like it when people know what they want and stick by it no matter what. If you have taken the vow of celibacy, keep it going and neverblet any guy take it away from you.

Spell it out to anyone coming to know that you will never give in to se.x and if the person agrees, then that's fine but if not, back out asap. Besides, its not a sin to stay out of a relationship you know..... You can try that as it works.

Guy, lock up! Must u wait to be relegated to the dreaded friend zone for ages before u realise that delay is dangerous?

If you notice she just wanna fool you with that, I would say hit her hard and she would give in but if not, check the next girl on your list.

Remember! waiting is never an option.

Romance › Re: Should Honeymoon Be A Part Of Wedding Determinant? by dmcdad: 8:33am On May 14, 2013
I laugh in my norwegian accent... Whether as Africans or not, honey moon is essential and necessary but should never be a determinant for the wedding.

I am not analysing this from an African's point of view but rather from a broad spectrum.

Its so alarming these days that people have decided to shift focus and dwell sorely on the things that mean little to the overall institution called marriage. Its so sad that after the wedding and all the other formalities that comes after the wedding, thats when couples would wanna start what they should have done from the outset of their relationship or courtship as the case may be.

I am not saying honey moon is bad or not. My point is, in as much as people spend excess time in planning for the wedding and the after party and stuffs like that, they should also take cognizance of the fact that, the marriage itself is the most important thing and not the formalities which are in most cases mere showoffs and that's why after every wedding comes the marriage. That is, the real thing and this is where couoles start having problems for they most must have used all the time to plan just for the obvious while taking less cognizance of the nitty-gritty and in reality little time would have been spent in getting to know each other more and working out things for a long-lasting union.

Well, honey moon is very much essential for the most part as it helps to foster their union at that early stage as it adds some spicing and fine-tunes their union. But then, if the guy fails to have a concrete plan on that, heads shouldn't roll as it's not a do-or-die thing.

I never hear wey honeymoon cause wahala before oooo. Make the girl sef lock-up jare. Na honeymoon she wan chop?

Romance › Re: Men: Do You Have to Be Financially Stable Before Marriage or Not? by dmcdad: 4:03pm On May 13, 2013
The man does not have to be financially stable. Remember that he is not going into the marriage alone. He is going in with his wife and they are going to be one so the combination of the man and woman should be financially stable meaning if they pool their resources together, they are okay.

Now we need to realise that being financially sable is not about owning 10 cars and liking in Lekki ooo. It is about them knowing how much they earn and planning towards living with that money no matter how much or how little.
Gbam!!!

Jhulyan: can't someone have a perfect and problem free relationship without s e x?
Yea sure! You can! But, the only thing that would make it work is if the both of you have like-minds. Like-minds in the sense that, you both crave for the same thing outta the relationship.

The thing is, from what you brought to the fore, it can be deduced that the problem to your relationship with that guy is as a direct result of you not giving in to sex. To be sincere with you, there is definitely nothing on earth you can do to salvage the situation unless you are ready to give in. Other than that, you guys will keep having problems and all.

My advice for you is know what you really want and what you can't or won't tolerate for whatever reason. If you know you don't really want sex, spell everything out to him and if he agrees to your terms and conditions, then you guys are good to go. But if he doesn't, then it's time to want out of that relationship.

Meanwhile, what makes you more of the person you are is the ability to make a decision and stand by it come what may. If you have really decided not to give in to sex as a result of you taking a vow of celibacy or for what ever reason, then you must be ready for the aftermath by taking the bull by the forelock.

I just hope you see right through me.

usermane: Because people dont care about marriage preparation. They dont get to learn each other character and personality b4 marriage.
People think dating is about sex, money and show off. Factors like morals, ethics, truthfullness are throw out of the window and it is only after packing in that couples realise what they need is lacking in their spouse.
Thats it bruv... Plus they pay more attention to the wedding while isolating the nitty-gritty itself which is the marriage. Often times people forget that after every wedding comes the marriage where they will have to face the real realities of their union.

These days people care less about getting to know or understand each other more. More time is invested in things that would profit them less in the long run rather than take cognizance of the salient and more profitable things that would sustain them at long last.

Like rightly stated above, moral decadence is now looming as most people have chosen to always do things contra bonos more. A lot of people care less about their moral, spiritual and ethical values. Untile these are taken cognizance of, coupled with other factors that enhance or promote long-lasting union-ship, then the rate of divorce would always be alarming.

Cine: I've spent on my GF.
So far: a blackberry, an iphone, Clothes, shoes, brazilian hair, airtime, food shopping, restaurants, toiletries, cinema outings, beach outings.......

I go to the cinema and eat out regularly so don't mind bringing her along.

The other stuff I brought her because I wanted to do it and I was happy to make her happy. I assure you she's asked me for more things and I've flat out said no..... or I'll tell her she'll have to wait till I'm ready to get it.

Is it good for our relationship... I dunno, probably not... but she doesn't have money, and I do.... I once asked her would she still be with me if i didn't have moneyhuh she said of course she would.... I believed her, and I'm sure she believed it was true.... but in reality, I would probably eventually lose her to someone else.
Lol... I guess this is a dream then... Lwtmb
