Romance › Re: Who Suppose To Relocate To The Other? by dmcdad: 1:09pm On Dec 02, 2012
There is definitely no rule that stated it categorically that either of the spouse is to relocate.. There should be a mutual agreement from both parties, and in having such agreement, there is need for both parties to weigh their possibilities as individual, and as a pair.. After weighing the balance (that is, taking into considerations landed properties, jobs etc), whoever that is on the lower side, should be expected to relocate in favour of the other.. The reason why it seems the lady does the relocating in often cases is the fact that, in most cases, men have more resourceful power.

Sweetlemon: Oh now I see! You are tryna cover up for tpia abi? No wonder you asking dmcdad those questions.
Ok.
But I'm sure it's quite obvious that the children should know the difference between house clothes and outing clothes cos they won't be seeing their mum wearing shorts when she goes out.
Besides, who says that shorts and T.shirts are skimpy clotheshuh
And even if she doesn't want to wear shorts, she could wear fashionably sown akara dresses, skirts, that are comfy and simple. She could also wear fitted jeans and a decent top.
You cannot compare a situation where a man hasn't made money to a situation where a woman cannot wear simple inexpensive shorts, fitted jeans, or decent blouses in the house
Just leave her alone.. She is lucky I ain't disposed to make long posts at this juncture. Else, I would have dropped it like it's hot on her.. Lol
so if ur tired wife asks u to do the dishes u won't apply the same measures used 20yrs ago? grin
I believe couples should come to each other's aid when needed. greatgod2012: @ smartmom, im always with u, my comment on dis thread and yours look exactly d same. I dont know why a woman would by herself cause her hubby to be externally influenced because of her inability to identify what her hubby like to see in her or delibrately ignoring it, giving some flimsy excuses....... May God help us all........

tpia1: True, some men do tie wrapper.

Some of these things are cultural.

We should be careful how we apply westernization to our daily lives.

Everything in our own culture isnt necessarily bad just because its not done in the west.
Nah... Don't be naive. Y are u having a wrong perception about this? This ain't about westernization. It's about knowing the fact that there is need to protect what you have.. Twenty yearz ago, was unfaithfulness as rampart as it is now? Nope! Which means in this contemporary emerging society of ourz, the modernity is bringing about more harm than good. How then do u confront and combat the threats of nowadays? Is it by applying the measures you used 20yrz ago or by taking advantage of the trend by bringing about newer strategic planshuh

C'mon think outside the box...

Sweetlemon: Women! Women! Women!
How many times did I call you??
Being a mother should not change your identity! Why should you stop wearing nice clothes just because you have children? In fact it irritates the hell out of me!!!
See people here saying that wrapper is more stressful! Like seriously? So wearing a fitted T.shirt and a pair of shorts is more stressful that tying wrapper which she will have to keep adjusting every 20 minuteshuh
One lady even said that as a mother she cannot wear shorts in front of her kids, What a razz mentality!!!
Poster, sit your wife down and discuss it with her. Let her know EXACTLY how you feel. In fact go buy her some nice shorts and fitted jeans and nice tops to drive home your point more effectively.
We women should start realizing that it's one thing to get a husband and another thig entirely to KEEP your husband's body, soul, and spirit in your matrimonial home. Stop killing your marriages with your bare hands!!!
Thank you jare... When one gets to support things like this, some people think it's out of indescensy. Personally, I'm highly principled with good moral standards. Buh, morality doesn't go against women wearing echanting clothes at home.. I know good pastorz that told their wives to wear shorts at home cuz it'll help them take off their eyes on ladies more..

Well done jare sister..

Goldieluks: How about he change her wardrobe , instead of ranting. Wearing wrapper is part of the Nigerian woman's culture. But wearing it day in day out, does not look too attractive.
The probs with a typical Nigerian woman is that she gets too relaxed after getting married, forgetting that the struggle to keep her husband to herself continues even after marriage. Na wa oo

Sweetlemon: See you!
My neighbours are not poor. They are very comfortable. But since the wife gave birth, she's mostly in wrapper and an off blouse, her hair is mostly always unkept. Very disgusting! There is always this bored look on the man's face whenever I see him. The sad thing is that they been married for only 2 years
Just imagine! If the man decides to chase young and lively gurlz outside, people will be quick to condemn him. After 2 yearz and she's relaxed thinking that it's over and as such nothing more can be done to entice the man. Her eyes go clear when the man start to dy pursue people wey dy ready to tk care of themselves..
Give her a break, she has 3 kids now. Has many things on her mind that just to play dress up for him.
C'mon.. What are u saying? And what concerns wearing shorts with what she has in mind? The time it takes to wear shorts is about the same time it takes to put on her wrapper. Besides, believe it or not, this is one of the reasons why some men go after young gurlz who put on these things. As a matter of fact, some spiritual leaderz do encourage married women to put on bump-shorts and the likes at home which helps in keeping their husbands' eyes fixed on them and with that they won't always have a reason to go outside..

Moreover, you sounded like three kids is a dozen. U can have three kids in the space of 6 to 7 yearz. Now, lets assume she got married at the age of 28, plus 7 yearz for three kids. Lets say she is now 35. So at 35 a woman should be putting on wrapper in the house when her mates out there who are unmarried are still dressing to kill.. C'mon be real. Remember! No b bad tin o as long as she is in the house buh outside the house is not advisable as a married woman..
