Is there no peaceful ptotest in Southern Nigeria currently?

Everybody said its meant to be a peaceful protest but Northerners with their hot heads will not follow protocol agreed.

Even before we had opportunity to table the demands, they already started vandalising and looting

Sickening mentality and this is why people will continue to see you as a 4th class citizen. You're always on Nairaland, fighting everybody and saying the protest must go on yet y'all intention was to gaslight others to protest while you lock your shops and hide under the beds, then come online to stoke more fire. Without ibos, people protested, all you did was to come online wanking over the attendant chaos that happened, yet you saying people can't protest without the ibos. Nobody needed the ibos for protest, ibos have never been at the epic center of any major protest in history. The reason why this protest is loosing steam is because Igbos did not participate. While I get it that Igbo hate unites Nigerians, we cannot continue to live like a conquered people!

I don't have anything to lose neither any member of my family if this turns political like it has been brewing since last week, but there is no igbo diasporian that want igbos at home to join the protest. E get why.

Things are bad and everyone knows things are bad. There was a need for this protest to hold but not in the manner at which it is going on currently. It's really very glaring to all and sunder the North is the only one losing more in this crisis. The ones who instigated this protest, the people pulling the strings have decided to go numb. Even a not very smart person would have seen this from the onset.

It was barely even 8am in the morning yet and the said protesters(criminals) are already on a destruction spree. Looting and vandalizing public properties and attacking security personnels is not the way to go.

Why block major roads thereby inconveniencing other road users from going about their daily lives? Same freedom you were given to protest is the same freedom you decided to deprive other road users.

The police needs to act and they need to act fast. Any gathering of 20 people or more should be dispersed using the maximum force necessary. An example needs to be set because Nigerians are stubborn people.

Security agencies must not fall these gimmicks of these gathering of criminals in the name of a protest. The goal was clear from the onset.
Obstruct, Destroy and to Provoke our police and into retaliating.

Take your protests to your Presidents, Your governors and all your elected representatives at all levels.

South West(whatever this means) is protesting peacefully but there are thugs by APC planning to disrupt the peaceful protest.

Call APC thugs out now before the protest turn violent, don't pretend you're not seeing it. Don't play the ostrich
