Tinubu has no capacity to move Nigeria forward. He is too corrupt to move Nigeria forward sIfioksq: Tinubu is a man of his word. His vision for Nigeria is bigger than any single candidate. If Obi steps aside, we should focus on supporting the progress and development Tinubu is bringing to the table. Let's not forget, it's about the country, not just individuals. |

Selling in naira or dollar doesn’t affect much. Dangote wants NNPC to buy from him instead of buying from Malta and to sell him crude instead of buying from Texas savenaijatoday: To be born foolish may not be your fault but to remain foolish is a curse. Do you know that a bag of rice or a tuber of yam has not been sold in dollars but it's about 6k today? Why are you celebrating a currency whose value struggles with tissue paper? How much difference does it make and how will it make Dangote happy? |
Politics › Re: The Protest Is Necessary But Not Now Because It Is Too Early To Protest Against by DMerciful(m): 8:12pm On Jul 29, 2024 |
From May 2011 to Jan 2012 is how long? This is the time it took Tinubu to sponsor a massive protest against GEJ for 2 weeks. Don't be a hypocrite! AsabaPropertyAg: The protest is necessary but not now because it is too early to protest against a new government that is barely 1 year from when he constituted his cabinate, please give this new government more time like 10 more months so that we can start to see the gains from his policies. This is a new government and not all policies will work as planned and there is room to try other policies until he gets it right. He knows that the economy is hard and he is trying his best to fix it and you should remember that the bad economy did not start from this Tinubu regime but I will advise our president to return fuel subsidy because it brought more hardship to Nigerians than he met the economy. (2) Government should suspend or stop work on the Coastal road from Lagos to Calabar and channel all the money to fix our Refineries and make sure it works before he clocks 2 years in office. (3) Government should stop all recruitments in all government ministries and MDA's including NNPC and CBN now to create space for our teeming youths for employment from every state of the federation without discrimination. Nigerians are suffering and it is increasing day by day, Please Nigerians, say no to protest, lets give our president more time to fix Nigeria but after 2 years if there is no significant change we can now protest against the Government. |

Stop this useless docility preaching, the horse has left the stable Salewa97: Hunger protest in Niger State? This is just another avenue for chaos.
When will we learn that protesting without a solid plan only leads to more suffering? Instead of channeling energy into destructive demonstrations, why not engage with the government and demand real change? Protests that turn violent only exacerbate the problem and put innocent lives at risk.
Nigerians should be wise enough to see that protests without purpose are a waste of time. Hunger isn't solved in the streets; it's solved in the boardrooms and through policies that uplift the people. Let's focus on constructive dialogue rather than chaos. |

Yes...firstly, it will teach the illegitimate president not to take Nigerians for granted again It will force the reversals of outrageous policies. Above all, the will reinforce the notion that the power of the people is greater than the people in power! Chinkoalhaji34: This is just another way to keep the chaos flowing. If the protest is meant to disrupt, then they should not expect smooth sailing. Internet or no internet, the real issue is the unrest brewing. Let’s be real, are we really expecting anything constructive from this?

When he gets presidential powers, you'll know what he is capable of. Go and find out how he ended the insecurity in Anambra during his time TopBanter: Once again, because you are brainwashed, you miss the point.
How will Obi , always fleeing like a coward, stand up to the biggest problem facing our nation today which is related to how very powerful, dangerous and murderous folks wish to protect their personal interest inimical to the growth and development of Nigeria? |

If Obi behave like Atiku and Wike, how is he different from them? Obi is not desperate to be president TopBanter: What is there to know about the biggest cowards in Nigerian politics? He fled PDP rather than face Atiku, Tambuwal etal as Wike bravely did.
Tinubu, in contrast, faced Buhari and the most desperate born-to-rule Fulani elements in the land and gained the APC ticket.
Obi went to dobale and plead with OBJ but still got impeached as Governor of Anambra. Tinubu stood his ground against the malevolent and vindictive Tinubu to win spectacularly.
You lot are just doing desperate image laundering for a man whose verified poor and incompetent leadership history means your efforts are exercises in futility. |

Your diversionary tactics will not work. We're beyond 2023 elections. This planned protest is about ending bad governance successmatters: The hypocrisy of some Nigerians is nauseating. You had an election where the electoral body assured you they will use IREV, the opposition LP was in the lead in the early announced results, suddenly they announced IREV portal crashed, and they started announcing results manually.
The ruling party started winning, and surpassed all the lead of the opposition, and BAM! They were declared winners.
You sat down and considered your options, you thought, the victim of the result is an Igbo man, he should go and sit down somewhere. Miscreants were posting "Igbos will never rule Nigeria " and you clapped. The whole events were skewed away with religious and ethnic conflagration, you decided to sweep it under the carpet, and forget it happened.
Well, the chickens will always come home to roost, eventually.
What moral justification do you have to go out and protest tomorrow, you want to protest hunger tomorrow, but didn't protest injustice yesterday.
May God judge all of you.
Me, am never going to protest, it's too late to cry.
Let Tinubu complete his 8 years, maybe by the time all of us suffer and die down to a percentage, some stupid people will reduce in Nigeria for real progress to be made. Maybe our offsprings will learn from this. |
