Lets do 100% state resource control nairalanda1: For now
1, Tax the 70% in the informal sector that do not pay income tax to the federal and state government
2. Remove subsides on power, and disconnect those who do not pay the new rate permanently, so that we can attract sane investors.
The other things I want him to do are outlined in the article 'Pass the books, hold the oil'
We got to get off resource dependency. Simple and short.

Only Yorubas will vote Tinubu come 2027 emkz: It is only in Nigeria those who lost elections insist they must serve in the winner's government.
Did Ozekhome not serve as counsel to one of those who had petitions against Tinubu? After fighting against his elections, he should now insert them to do further damage?
That was how Osita Chidoka then in PDP was advising APC to choose a national chairman from the southeast. That was unfair to the northwest, southwest, southsouth and northcentral where Tinubu won at least a state. Even core APC southeast did not feel as entitled as Osita.
Anyway, Wike was not Tinubu's man. Bayo Ojulari was not Tinubu's man. Mele Kyari was not Tinubu's man. We can list several ministers who got there on merit. Tunji Alausa, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Badaru, Ibrahim Geidam, Christopher Musa, etc. Is Ozekhome unhappy that Lateef Fagbemi SAN is attorney-general? So the job should be given to someone who did bot accept Tinubu defeated their paymasters?
As for the talk that Tinubu is driving Nigeria to a one party state, it is not possible. APC does not even have 28 state governors as PDP had at some point. At that time, PDP did not turn Nigeria to a one-party state. PDP is crying because they plundered their chances due to individual greed and poor management. Even now, the party is at the mercy of Atiku's unwavering greed for power and Wike's quest to balance the scales. Until both Atiku and Wike leave PDP, PDP would never find peace. |

Tinubu will be a one-term illegitimate president richiemcgold: Tinubu needs both Wike and Fubara for his reelection in 2027, but no one is striping wike of a power he never possessed in the first place. Mr President as a very wise man has already set a boundary for both Wike and Fubara. They dare not go beyond this boundary. Let's just say both of them have played into the hands of Mr President. |

I said it that Wike will lost las las but people were attacking me. When Tinubu loses 2027, that will be Wike's end too. richmond500: I know a lot of people will call me delusional and how I do not understand Nigerian politics but it's just my personal analysis and I could be bias. So pardon me the insults.
Firstly, through out the course of Wike's and SIM's problem, Tinubu has maintained neutrality. Let's be honest, If Tinubu wanted to stop the fight between SIM and Wike, he would have done so because they both respects him.
But he was neutral when Wike was fighting for his own political survival and that of his 27 lawmakers, but moment the supreme court gave Wike power, Tinubu sacked everyone and installed Abass as the sole administrator. Many said Tinubu sacked SIM to please Wike but the truth remains that if Tinubu had not intervened and has remained neutral as he always does, SIM would have been removed and Wike would have taken control of the state. The state of emergency (SOE) was more advantageous to SIM than Wike.
Furthermore, after the SOE, Tinubu had had two close door meetings with SIM where the details of their meetings was not made public and some source said Wike was not happy with the meeting. Let's not forget how SIM has been praising Tinubu since 2023 till date and is rumoured to join APC soon. Recently, Wike threatened that if SIM didn't meet his requirements for peaceful resolution and the SOE is called off, the assembly members will still not pass the budget, days after that threat, Tinubu passed the budget to the national assembly further frustrating Wikes effort to gain control, Wike has also talked about how he would have kicked against the SOE if the president had consulted him.
Also, while this may not be much proof to butress my analysis, I wouldn't want to overlook the fact that when the supreme court stopped Rivers allocation, one of the first few people that had a close door meetings with SIM was the finance minister, someone that is highly ranked in the Tinubus cabinet having a meeting with SIM cannot be totally overlooked, or so I thought.
Finally, when it comes to PDP, Tinubu and APC has decided to take control of the party and cause chaos. A party where Wike presidential hope lies is no more in Wike control, there is no way Wike can be happy with this development except he has dropped every plan to be a president.
The question now is why is Wike not reacting? The opinion is that he doesn't have a choice, If Wike goes against Tinubu now, he will be dead politically because he has no where to return to. Rivers state will not accept him after he has threatened to cause anarchy, Ofcos the new coalition group (Amaechi, Atiku and El-rufai) would rather support Davido as president than giving Wike another political life. |

Give it to 0b1 who has shown capacity, capability and compassion Factcheck0001: Many atimes I keep seeing things like, let's take our country back.
The question is take it back then give it to who?
Who are we giving it to?
Hope it's not the issue of same wine in a different bottle?
Personally left to me, if truly we are sincere about taking our country back, then we should be sincere with ourselves
We should give it to someone who have never been there before, a youth who have the zeal to do something different
Someone who haven't failed us before, to me it's insincerity to tell me to take it back from an APC man n give it to a PDP man!!!
Do a little time travel back to 6 years ago n tell me if APC isn't equal to PDP today?
Ask yourself, how can an over 60 year old man be seen as a youth if we are been sincere with ourselves?
If a 60 year old man is a youth, then what should we call a 45 year old man?
I guess a toddler?
If your plan is to take it back and give it to anyone that have held positions between 99 to 2023 then u are insincere. |
