RomanceRe: Can You Bath With Your Spouse Or Bf/gf by dnex(m): 11:18pm On Jul 01, 2009
Abeg, I must bathe with my partner be it Girlfriend or wife.

In fact, personally one of the major benefits of having a partner is that we can wash each other's backs. Those parts where we need to be gymnasts to reach on our own.

I can't go out with anyone whose back I can't wash and who can't wash mine every now and then.

I find it funny that people in love with each other who eat together, make love and sleep together can't bathe together. It's serious.

Are irregularities = Rigging ?

If there are not enough voting materials, that's an irregularity, if voting starts 8 am instead of 10 am, that's an irregularity, party agents are not enough to go round all the polling stations is an irregularity, blue ink is used to register results instead of black is an irregularity.

I was so much into the old Indian movies from the 80s. MARD is like my all time favorite, then there's Toofan and many more, but these days, they're trying more and more to be like hollywood movies. Why watch something that is like a hollywood movie when you can watch a hollywood movie?

PoliticsRe: Why Did Obj Force Yar Adua On Us? by dnex(m): 9:36am On Jul 01, 2009
Okay, what I am saying is that if Atiku was a politician and strategist worthy of being the president of Nigeria, he would have found a way to foil OBJ's third term and yet remain the candidate for PDP being that we all knew it was the PDP candidate that would win.

The fact, that he could not get himself around that puzzle means that as president, he would have found himself in several puzzles that would have overwhelmed him.

I think I will now go ahead to answer the question of why OBJ forced Yar'Adua on us. And it is because knows we're too stupid to know that we have the power not to let him.

Everything Government, Government, Government.

As the former governor of Edo state, Lucky Igbinedion once said and I quote, "if man no fit impregnate 'im wife, e go say na government".

What role has the government to play in making people's personal choices on a daily basis?

Everything government!!!

That report has not taught me anything new. Except of course I find the mention of a Sea Port in the East very absurd.

PoliticsRe: Oath-taking Lawmaker Apologies by dnex(m): 8:27am On Jul 01, 2009
Gbenga Daniel has done nothing wrong. In other countries elected officials swear an oath they dare not break. Since we're still breaking that oath in Nigeria, I think It's ingenious that OGD administered the right oath to the Ogun lawmakers and LG chairmen.

Doesn't Ogun mean charm? Ogun state is a state of charms and you want them to keep swearing with Qur'an and Bible.

As for the 'honourable' lawmaker, now that he has explained and apologised, I suggest he should strongle resist the temptation to resign because I know the people of his constituency would not know what to do about him, and even if they did, they wouldn't do anything.

So because his father's prestige was threatened, he took those pictures naked. If he took the oath and the pictures were taken without his knowledge, It's a different thing. He was there looking into the camera as if he was snapping a passport photograph.

Now he's calling Allah abi? Now he says he's a principled man. I can see that.

I have always had it at the back of my mind that whatever a man quickly admits to and accepts is far less serious than what he actually did.

Since this man is saying that Gbenga Daniel also took the oath, then Daniel must have done so naked and therefore this fool should have copies of Daniels nude pictures too. Can we see? Bloody liar!

This idiot and his G15 went to carry out this ritual in the forest and now the photos have slipped into the hands of the man they made their enemy.

A photograph that shows this man deep in the tropical rain forest is what he claims was in Daniel's house. Does Daniel have a jungle in his backyard?

They saw a drowning man will clutch at a straw. This fool went to hold drinking straw. You do well O! HONOURABLE ALAUSA.

@JosBoy

I'm not writing in order for you to give me a medal. I'm telling it like it is.

Maybe cos I said mallam, you're taking it personal but we all know that most people that come down to Lagos to pose as Hausa are actually Nigerien.

Anyway, if you didn't know that's how they become commercial bike riders, then I'm telling you now.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Bars Okada From Highways by dnex(m): 2:51am On Jul 01, 2009
Licensed Okada rider ke? Once a mallam has worked as a security man for some years and put aside enough money to afford a motorcycle, he has automatically become an Okada man.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Bars Okada From Highways by dnex(m): 2:44am On Jul 01, 2009
From day 1, there has been a plan by Fashola to eliminate Okadas from Lagos. Today It's wear helmet, tomorrow avoid highways, the day after It's wear knee pads and finally it will be avoid streets. Abeg Okada should go jare. Recklessness, drunken riding and general nuisance to the populace.

$osisi, it is I O! Them don use ban, ban make me change ID.

I really don't know what other kind of eye witness account JosBoy wants me to give again. Abi make I follow dem go desert?

It's just so sad, but It's the truth all the same. The kind of money these girls invest just to get to Italy and start the runs can set up a Small Scale Enterprise with not less than 5 employees.

It's not like they are wallowing in abject poverty and hopelessness, they just want more. So It's simple greed.
PoliticsRe: 10, 000 Girls To Be Repatriated To Nigeria (from Morocco And Libya) by dnex(m): 12:18am On Jul 01, 2009
Osun O! I don't know what other language to say this in again, but lemme try caps: THESE GIRLS ARE NOT TRICKED OR FORCED TO GO INTO THIS TRADE, THERE'S ACTUALLY A MAD SCRAMBLE TO BE AMONG THE NEXT BATCH TO GO.

@ $osisi

12 year old Bini girl don tear eye O! No even think am.

There are girls whose father's are late that have threaten their mothers with suicide if they don't sell whatever landed property their fathers left behind in order to have enough money to mobilise their trip abroad for prostitution. There is not a single child in Edo state that you will mention Italy to that will not know you're talking about prostitution. In fact, there's a joke around the South that Italy is the capital of Benin.

Sammy Jay & Phemmy, please stop all this misinformation. They not only know what they are going to do, they work towards it. They even have auditions where the travel agent from Italy will inspect them Naked, checking their breasts, butts and all to be sure they're prime material.

Did I ever mention that it was poverty that made them go into prostitution? It's the love for opulence.

Why should you ask me how come It's Edo girls that mostly prostitute abroad? How come It's mostly mallams that change dollars? How come It's mostly nnas that sell spare parts? Perhaps the first person that ventured in these businesses where from those tribes and they've since locked down the business.

Okay, when a girl is arrested for a prostitution related offence, do you expect her to say "yes, I decided to come to Italy to prostitute because I want to have enough money to oppress my mates when I get back to Benin in 3 years time"?

If they were victimized and so tricked to go and prostitute, how come those that are repatriated are still doing all it takes to go back.

Please, don't ask me what the government is doing about it. The government has enough on its table to bother about rather than greed of a group of girls, no matter how large the group.

I don tire to explain jare.
PoliticsRe: Why Did Obj Force Yar Adua On Us? by dnex(m): 10:53pm On Jun 30, 2009
My fellow Nigerian, if PDP, through their internal machinations within their party, bring out Yar'Adua as their candidate, how does that affect Muhammadu Buhari and his ANPP?

In Lagos, we had the deputy governor who was frustrated out of the AC to Labour Party as Fashola was picked over him as candidate by those in the Action Congress for reasons best known to them. How does that affect Obanikoro and PDP losing in Lagos. The fact that Femi Pedro was not the candidate for AC, does that mean that AC rigged the elections to defeat PDP? Or they chose the candidate whom they thought will beat any political opponent in the race.

Why should a party front a candidate whose only campaign point is that he was going to ensure that Nigeria won the 2010 world cup?
PoliticsRe: Financial Crisis Solution: Print More Money? by dnex(m): 10:37pm On Jun 30, 2009
I first understood the sheer idiocy of this Jimoh when he unveil a plan he had nurtured for so long on how he was going to make a hostile takeover of TotalFinaElf worldwide. The plan had already failed before he revealed everything to us letting us know that some actions and inactions of the government made the whole thing fall through.

Jimoh planned that he will acquire land all over the nation and build several filling stations which he already had a contract with Total to do, and hand them over to Total in some kind of lease -purchase arrangement. Then, the more rapidly he built more filling stations, the less able Total is to make payments as agreed. So when Total cannot keep up with the payments and now owes him so much, he'll make his move and tender the takeover bid.

I almost cried due to laughter when I read that interview. Jimoh felt that his filling stations will translate into shares in Total Nigeria Plc and he will then carry them to Paris and God knows whatever he planned in his mind to do over there.

Well, to cut a long story short, the plan didn't work and Today, Jimoh Ibrahim is not the Chairman of Total worldwide.

As for this Naira printing revelation, I'm suprised that people are just commenting on this now. I wrote a note about it on Facebook two months back and it begins thus:

", and the Nobel Prize goes to Jimoh Ibrahim for saving a world on the brink of Global Recession."

Anyway, I feel it is an insult to everybody on Nairaland for me to start explaining the havoc that can be wreaked by mass printing of currency. Zimbabwe stands as a clear example.

Look at the USA they need dollars and they went to borrow billions of dollars from China. Dollars! Their own national currency which is accepted worldwide, they didn't just go and start printing dollars. Yet, Nigerian Naira should be massively printed to stem recession. Anyway, congratulations Nigerians, after he made that proclamation, Jimoh Ibrahim was appointed head of the CAC.
PoliticsRe: 10, 000 Girls To Be Repatriated To Nigeria (from Morocco And Libya) by dnex(m): 2:34pm On Jun 30, 2009
Yes O! They are all Edo girls. Right now in Benin, spaniards or Italians cannot communicate secretly in their language cos 1 in 10 Bini girls converse in their languages fluently.

The only misconception I want to correct about this whole thing is that the girls are the ones that put in all effort to make sure that they are picked by scouts to go to Europe and do the work.

In 2004, I went out with a girl who told me since she's just finished her diploma she was bored at home watching home videos till everything was set for her to go to Italy to start "work". It was only early this year I was able to contact her via Facebook and it took several requests. Another girl who is still in Benin right now paid her air ticket to and from Abuja just to take part in an audition for girls that will go to Italy. She had all the assets, but unfortunately, she wasn't among those who made it.

I'm surprised that Europe has imposed the word tradickers on us. The truth is that these girls solicit a SPONSOR to make a downpayment and stand as surety for them, hire an AGENT to help them get to their destination, and then go under the uttelage of a MADAME. They are not the victims, they are the practitioners doing their jobs.

As for the 10,000 girls, that figure is just too round. By the way, who the hell is Afrol news or whatever?

I'm in Edo state and from Edo state. Prostitution is not a culture here. It is very difficult for you to get the services of a prostitute in Benin, unlike Lagos. But when it comes to Europe, I believe 90% of all prostitutes in italy and spain are Edos.

Edo people just believe so much in travelling abroad without a clear indication of what to do and with a strong hatred for menial jobs, hence prostitution. The boys have been left behind for ages but suddenly, Yahoo.

True Story!

PoliticsRe: Why Did Obj Force Yar Adua On Us? by dnex(m): 12:08pm On Jun 30, 2009
I didn't vote in 2007, so I can complain very little. But the truth is, our votes do count but almost nobody votes.

If we shout from here to Kilimanjaro that PDP rigged the elections, then I will ask those making these claims to honestly tell me if they really believed that Buhari or Atiku put in enough effort to win the 2007 elections. Buhari only campaigned in the North, Atiku had himself in boiling water. These men did not seriously make POLITICAL plans to win the elections. And please, nobody should even mention Utomi, Okotie, Gani, Ojukwu and Mrs Obasanjo cos they only came to get participatory certificates.

Go and buy yourself a March or April newspaper and see the level of campaign put in by all the contestants. Go and get the records from TV stations and see who bought the most AD airtime by far.

We claimed they rigged the elections, but did the PDP also rig the elections to put Fashola or Ohakim in their offices? Someone said there was electoral violence, snatching of ballot boxes and all that fart. Do you know how many ballot boxes are in place for the presidential elections? The amount of electoral violence and snatchings that will sway the votes will sum up to an all out civil war. And if we claim that they can manipulate the results from INEC headquarters, then why should OBJ, Yar'Adua and the PDP bother with such rubbish as snatching ballot boxes?

Yar'Adua won the elections fair and square because we let him, and we let him by not voting.

2011, let's all go out and vote for a serious and proper candidate. If these other regional political parties are still unserious, then we should join the PDP and turn things around internally. That is why I laugh at Atiku. He is a government worker and not a politician. Why didn't he fight the 3rd term agenda without getting himself soiled with nowhere to hide in the PDP? He knew the only party under which he would have won the elections was the PDP and yet he left to the AC. The man is dull.
Nairaland GeneralRe: 71-year Old Man Sentenced To 150 Years In Prison! Is This A Joke? by dnex(m): 11:08am On Jun 30, 2009
There must have been multiple counts of the same crime. So if each count carries a sentence that should run consecutively with the others, then the judge has no personal choice than to add up the terms and the result must have been 150 years. I don't know if there's any country that has a life sentence for fraudulent practices so when the offence is so grievous, the only way to make the criminal pay adequately is by adding up the sentences.

PoliticsRe: Dokubo Rejects Amnesty by dnex(m): 8:38pm On Jun 26, 2009
Fellow Nigerians, don't be deceived by the cheap propaganda coming from these terrorists. It is in bad taste and totally mumbled up, so I expect the average man to see through their lies.

My first worry when I heard about Asari Dokubo trip to Germany, I began to project my mind towards the arrival of a plane load of weapons to Nigeria some days back. I just wonder.

Well, people are ignorant; very many people are unlearned.

They say Asari Dokubo is an idealist, but I don't deny that. Islamic idealism can easily lead to terrorism.

They say he's interested in the Souvereign National Conference, then let us know the individual whom his people aspire to have at the conference. Perhaps himself. Does he know what a souvereign national conference is? Does he know how the members of the souvereign national conference are 'selected'? So has he asked himself whether the National Assembly is the Souvereign National Conference and the method used to elect the members of this national assembly is the same process that would be used to select the members of this souvereign national conference. That other tout, Gani Adams while defining the souvereign national conference also mentioned that if he is not a member, he will not accept anything that comes from the conference. And let's say we're going to have a referendum to select the members of this conference, will it not be rigged?

The SNC is for those that cannot share the money through the right door. They now want to get there through a back door.

Alh. Asari Dokubo was trained by Islamic Militants in North Africa to become a terrorist, but he just loved money a little more than anything else.

He speaks with glee about the joys of bunkering crude. At least FG has embarked on some projects in the Niger-Delta communities from crude sales. What have the terrorists done for their communities with the kidnap and bunkering cash?

Ibime, surely you don't believe a word Asari said, otherwise you have ashes in your skull.
PoliticsRe: Dokubo Rejects Amnesty by dnex(m): 2:02pm On Jun 26, 2009
The money nor reach.

Can you imagine somebody that says he's a business man, he hears that government want to share money to militants and now he is putting himself among those whom the amnesty is meant for. Has he not been released from detention? Has he not been freed? Wetin concern am with amnesty again?

If he wants amnesty, he has to carry arms back to the creeks in order to re-criminalise himself.

Now you tell me that the the politician is more corrupt than the militant. No politician will class himself publicly with criminals just because of money. Imagine a political militant. If It's more people like this that are fighting in the creeks, then people of the Niger-Delta, we're finished.
PoliticsRe: 3m Nigeria Hiv Positive — Naca by dnex(m): 1:44pm On Jun 26, 2009
Well this figure seems quite accurate. The figure of 5% and above suggested by some foreign organizations is insane.

It's impossible to test everybody in a nation for any particular ailment.

What can be done is a random test of a sample population. Most hospitals in the nation test pregnant women before delivery and have found less than 2% incidence of HIV cases. Employers and Embassies that request HIV tests have also ended up with less than 2% so I really don't know where some people come with figures above 5%.

There's nothing wrong with the Iranian elections. Even before the elections started, western media was already telling the world that the incumbent was not the favorite. Just because they hate him.

Talk about Abiola, is he not corrupt? Was he not an IBB collaborator? Was he not distributing rice, milk and money to lure voters?

Now, Tinubu and the NADECO crew wants the world to believe June 12 is the best thing that ever happened to us. Rubbish. The deaths of Abacha and Abiola is the best thing that happened to us.
