You want to succeed in your relationship? Try these things.
1. Be his best friend. If you want to make a life journey with someone its best to start getting to know him. Get to know his background, read books about people like him, you should be able to predict him. Also be open to him. Love is a leap of faith.(be careful though) only open up to a worthy man. Never judge him, true friends dont judge. Keep his secrets. Let him trust you.
2. Value him above everything. Example; if he misplaces your phone, do you lash out at him? If you value him, you won't lash out. How do you handle tense moments? Are you calm?
3. God factor. Attend the same church. Try and read what he reads, this is for uniformity. Uniformity helps to forge unity.
Lastly, I'm not judging your methods since you want to settle down. Its not bad to desire marriage but verify if he wants to marry you also and actively work with him to achieve it. I'm not a relationship coach. I just typed what I'd tell my sister.
