Politics › The 9th Nigeria-eu Business Forum Holds On July 2: Why And How To Participate by docdes(op): 9:24am On Jun 22, 2024 |
The 9th edition of the Nigeria-EU Business Forum will hold on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 between 9am and 5pm (CEST) which means between 8am and 4pm (Nigerian/West African Time).
Focused on the theme "Investing In Jobs And A Sustainable Future", the events will physically take place at Abuja Continental Hotel located at 1, Ladi Kwali Street, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, FCT.
While there's limited space for physical participation at the conference, anyone can participate virtually.
This is the first time that this event will be holding in Abuja Nigeria.
Why You Should Participate As A Nigerian
As explained by AfriPI, the Nigeria-EU Business Forum is "a platform for the European Union (EU) and Nigerian businesses to increase domestic investments, enhance access to the EU market, and build strategic partnerships". Concerning this year's edition, the European Union explains that "it provides a platform to engage and identify opportunities for business, trade and sustainable investment under the EU Global Gateway Strategy".
The EU Global Gateway Strategy is an investment drive to which the European Commission is devoting up to €300 billion between 2021 and 2027. Here's what the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has to say about this investment program...
Most times, we suffer in our business or personal lives because of what we should know that we don't know. Therefore, trust that a participation at the 9th edition of the Nigeria-EU Business Forum has every likelihood of affording you an opportunity to learn first-hand about how the European Commission or the European Union is investing in African businesses. This way you can learn how to package your own business and access the available opportunities.
Don't believe that these things are reserved for some special people. Instead, you too can benefit from the opportunities available.
Everything about this program shows that the European Union is willing to invest in any business opportunity that promises sustainable outcomes. So, as you participate, put on your thinking cap and see how you can come up with revolutionary business ideas or packaging that they can fall for.
Nigerian agribusinesses are especially advised to pay attention. This is because one of the specific projects being considered is the EU Support for Agricultural Value Chain Development project (EU-VACE).
Program Of Event At The 2024 Edition Of The Nigeria-EU Business Forum
A keynote address entitled "Confidence In The Nigerian Economy: Sustainable Solutions To Attract FDI" will be delivered by the Honorable Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun.
Then, panels will be held on the following topics:
Digitalization Leapfrog Healthy Economies Thrive From Agriculture To Agribusiness
Breakout room sessions will also be held as follows
Between 9:30 and 10:30 am (Nigerian Time). Topic: A presentation of "Access2Markets" - How to export to the EU? Between 11am and midday (Nigerian time). Topic: Presentation of the EU-Nigerian Agribusiness Platform Between midday and 1pm (Nigerian time). Topic: Presentation Digitalization/Health
How To Register And Participate
Follow these steps:
1. Click here to access the official program page on the EU website.
2. When the page loads, look at your address field and make sure that it has 'europa.eu' as the LAST part of the URL like this...
This is to ensure that you are not being diverted by scam artists.
3. Scroll down towards the foot of the page until you see this tab
4. Clicking on the tab takes you to the following page on the EU Global Gateway website:
5. Click on the blue tab with the inscription 'register and participate'.
6. Fill the form, submit and follow the on-page prompts. You will need to access a link through an email they will send to you.
We urge you to share this opportunity with other people. Even if you don't get anything from it but another Nigerian close to you does, you can benefit from there, while helping the overall economy of the country to improve. Happy participation. SOURCENlfpmod |
Politics › ICSA Calls Out A Town In Delta State For Unsafe Road Practices by docdes(op): 6:19pm On Oct 21, 2022 |
The International Center for Safety Awareness (ICSA) has called out the residents of Agbor Town in Delta State for driving against traffic "as a culture".
In a 43-second video taken from a major road in the town, a voice indicates more than 3 motorcycles driving against the traffic and only one driving correctly and explains that they do so "as a culture" and that road mishaps occur in the town almost everyday.
A thread accompanying the vid further calls on the members of the public to send more such information and how it can help give exposure to Youtubers' videos.

pansophist: Women often accuse men of being sexually hungry. What I will always tell any woman who says so is this: "If you were a man, you could have loved sex even more".
Why do I say so? men are made in such a way that their lives are full of emergency erections from their teenage years. The sex they seek is meant to attend to these emergencies. Women cannot understand the kind of value men attach to sex because women don't have these compulsory emergency erections that men have.
For example, from 14/15 years of age, every boy deeks starts 'standing every hour. So, he needs available pussi. He also needs to eat better to restore the lost ejaculation EVERY day.
Again, he needs sexual enhancements because the daily nacking makes him feel extremely weak unless he eats good food prepared for him from time to time.
Even more, when a woman gets erection, he is in a constant state of horn.y for hours. When the child is finally born, that's another level of responsibility because a child's needs must be satisfied immediately ALWAYS. And, you know, he is the one who must pay the child unlike the woman.
So, women, try to understand your man's need for sex. Instead of you to complain, allow his sexual needs to increase your libido towards becoming horn.y and horn.y everyday.
To yyou gentleman out there, don't allow anyone to make you feel like a philanderer just because you like sex. But also, know that too much of everything is bad. You can also find an easy way to sexually satisfy yourself and support your woman. Gone are the days when nacking woman scatter was a man's thing, now, women do the nacking as well.
Let everyone try to see that his/her relationship has as much sex as possible with as little hussling as possible too. This way, you can have enough time for each other without affecting your income. Let me know if I made sense to you or not. Too much sense wan kill you. |

Right now, there are millions of Nigerians who are dying of hunger. Yet there are many genuine opportunities offered by the web economy. But, people cannot take advantage of these great opportunities because they are afraid of scam.
It's just like having plenty of water but dying of thirst. Even when you offer something for free, people are still afraid. How can we change this?
There is this document we created at my company. It contains a strategy to help Nigerians create lucrative careers using their social media profiles. We created to help Nigerians stay away from the Nigerian streets that are growing increasingly insecure. COVID-19 has already made working from home the order of the day.
But, I am surprised that I'm begging Nigerians to take the document for free. After thinking about it, the only reason I can find for why people would be afraid to take the offer is that they are afraid of getting scammed. Now, I can only imagine the number of other opportunities that Nigerians are missing while dying of hunger. |

I've met a lady who confessed to me that the sight of a poor man makes her want to vomit. I've discovered that it is so with most women, but they won't tell you: They hate poor men with a PASSION. To understand this even more, you can read my post entitled 'WHY WOMEN LOVE MONEY AND WHY THEY MAY BE RIGHT ABOUT IT' here: https://www.nairaland.com/6854685/why-women-love-money-whySo, men, try to make your woman's need for money to increase the creativity of your hussle rather than making you complain. If you're poor, your woman won't respect you because poverty doesn't fit a man. It makes him look very irresponsible. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. |

Godada: What kind of support are you talking about here?
For starters, I know her a lot intimately so you cannot go tell me more about someone I know very well.
Now, did you know that she worked her butt off before she met her man?
She was a goal getter before she met her man.
All through her life, she has been something of trailblazer.
She was the best in her class all through, regardless of the fact there were intelligent guys. Did she need her man's support here?
She took it a notch forward and made a name for herself.
She would be become what she is today without her man.
Let's take it further, we have the likes of Linda Ikeji that has her only shìt. Did you hear her crying for support? She handles her affairs.
Ladies leave this entitlement mentality. Work....hustle.
Parents should train the girl child to stop been a leech. Sorry, I find it difficult to agree with you that Okonjo-Iweala worked as you said because she comes from a wealthy background. However, if I'm wrong, can you tell us where and where she worked. But, please, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that women shouldn't work or make their own money. I'm only saying why their need for financial support should be understood. For instance, when your wife is nursing a baby, you don't expect her to do her business even if her own entrepreneurial spirit is more than that of Jeff. Child bearing must keep interrupting a woman's business. So, a man who doesn't understand this in order to fill up the gap is being unfair. |

Biafrarep: The first responsibility of any national government is to protect lives and integrity of the country. Nigeria has failed woefully on that aspect, people are dying all over the North from both internal and external forces while nothing is done to protect them.
No one is safe anymore, while bandits and terrorists are currently carving out territories in the NW and NE respectively, and installing Islamic rulers, foreign rebel forces are also invading from Cameroon to massacre and burn down villages.
Sometimes, I just wonder why some people will see how ungovernable Nigeria has become and yet be desperate in trying to rule it. I expected you to mention how very insecure Northern Nigeria is while Buhari is irresponsibly fighting Igbos with the already weakened Nigerian Military instead of facing the insecurity in the North. Hypocrisy of the highest order. |

Godada:

This is really illuminating.
So you made all this up to buttress your reasons why women love money.
What stops a woman from getting her only shìt.
Is she handicapped that she must wait for a man?
Is that how the likes of Okonjo Iwela became the household that she is by waiting for every Tom, Dick and Harry to contribute to her upkeep? If she did we will not be celebrating her today.
The same brains, eyes, hands and time that she has is the same assets women world over are blessed with.
Women stop selling yourselves short. Most of you are better than the men you demand money from.
Go and make a life and stop picking rich men like a market woman selecting okirika bend down select style. If Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala tells you the kind of support she got from her husband that helped her to where she is today, you could just faint. Like when she would be nursing a baby and suddenly has an exam to take. The man may be forced to become a babyseater or employ a nanny by force. |

Crime › Tips To Help You Stay Safe From Getting Killed Or Kidnapped by docdes(op): 10:45am On Nov 16, 2021 |
NIGERIANS, USE THESE TIPS TO STAY SAFE FROM GETTING KIDNAPPED OR KILLED
An African adage has it that, "a wise person learns from what happens to others but a fool waits until trouble engulfs his head". Another one says that "when the corpse of another person's child is being carried, it looks like a bundle of firewood".
Yesterday, I was somewhere when a sound like gunshot went off and people began to run this way and that. It turned out that it was a police van having exhaust issues.
We have had too many kidnap and murder incidents all over Nigeria in recent years. So, it will be foolish for anyone not to get prepared against such an incident.
Those who are bound to say, "not my portion" should know that no one who was ever kidnapped or killed prayed for it. So, it can still happen to anyone else even if they are not praying or prepared for it.
Therefore, let's use this opportunity to share any tips we have that can help Nigerians to stay safe in any situation where Government security may fail.
I START: Below are the tips I have for everyone to stay safe. I will add more as I remember them. Now, also share the ones you know:
1. Don't post your residential address online.
2. Don't share details about your children or the members of your household online.
3. Don't go to an unfamiliar location alone. If you have a job that takes you into the hinterlands, find a different job.
4. Whenever you drive, watch your back through the side mirror and if you ever notice anything that looks like someone is following you, pull up at a busy place and let the vehicle pass. Then, follow it up and watch the driver's further behavior and act accordingly.
5. Have the number of a Police team or the Police station in your area. Just ask for it with a good manner of approach, giving your reason. Use the number whenever the occasion demands it - even if you only suspected something sinister.
6. If you ever see any vehicle packed in your neighborhood without any sign that the vehicle broke down, call the attention of other people in your neighborhood to it. Or, you call a Police team. No matter what, the Police can still help.
7. Emphatically instruct the members of your household to always raise an alarm whenever anyone orders them to come to them. Tell them why they need to do this with every courage they can muster.
8. Before you attend any job interview, make sure that you have done a background check on the company.
9. If you survive by doing casual or domestic work in unspecified locations, always tell a close family member where you are working each day.
10. Avoid expressing desperation online. Some evil people can capitalize on it to lure you.
11. If you ever hear any gunshot when you are outdoors, don't panic. Instead, calm down and know the exact direction it's coming from before you try a SMART escape.
You can share yours. |

BrandBrainBox: Many people these days think that it is 'modern' and cool to look down on the Bible. But, many of the problems we have in the world and in our lives today come from disregarding biblical principles.
For example, there is this post on the home page talking about a father and a daughter who are obviously into each other in a romantic sense.
Will that kind of girl ever be able to "leave her father and mother and become ONE flesh" with her husband according to Genesis 2:24?
Marriage is meant only for those who are mature, those who have become mature enough that they have cut the umbilical cord linking them to their parents both physically and otherwise.
Unfortunately, people continue to be attached to their parents more than they are attached to their spouses. It is both ways. But, it appears that women are more guilty of this than men.
Recently, a friend's wife asked me to help her build a blogging profile. As she said, "I want to do what Linda Ikeji is doing".
But, when I noticed that she was using her maiden surname to build her blog profile instead of her husband's surname, I pointed it out. I went ahead to create a better-sounding name using a combination of her husband's first name and hers. But, since then, she began to sideline me.
To show you that there might be more women than you imagine, who are attached to their fathers in a way that is detrimental to their marital pact or future, see the seeming incensuous girl reported on the HP already getting loads of support from her Nairaland colleagues.
Men, stop getting romantic with your daughters. You are damaging them through that. So, you are wicked, not the loving dad your naive daughter may think you are. Lalasticlala Mynd44 Seun More people need to know this. Posts like this should grace fp. |

10mobile: It takes greatness to appreciate greatness. If they have scammed you, tell us openly. Otherwise, be careful with your negative mindset. It is a big poverty mentality to think that anything you are not getting absolutely free is a scam.
How many people will offer you GENUINE VALUES for free? If you paid the $5 and failed to get the fulfillment of the promise, that's the only time you would have the moral right to call it a scam. Or, else, you are stopping many people from an opportunity that would change their lives for good - which is witchcraft.
Anyway, it's only fools that will read the ebook and still listen to you. The level of knowledge manifested by the writers shows that they know what they are doing. So, stop paying back evil for good lest evil lives in your house. Silence is the best answer to a fool. You don't need to reply everyone. How much is $5 that someone is trying to 'extort' from him?Allow him to spend his $5 to eat today and continue to be poor.My people perish for a lack of knowledge.I advise everyone to listen to to every line of that book especially where it says that people are poor because they think more about 'spending' than 'investing'. |

Fulani herders kept killing farmers in their farms since 2015. Because of this, farmers got scared of going to their farms from Benue to Enugu and to Oyo and Ogun States and more.
This is the number 1 cause of food scarcity in Nigeria right now. Even a kid knows it. But, the FG has carefully avoided this open truth in this official statement. Instead, they are blaming those who are basically complaining against the herders' menace.
What else do we need to know that the Buhari Govt is sponsoring the terrorists killing us? And, how come there are humans like , helinues, and their cohorts who lick the ass of this Government without ever criticizing it? Is it because they are the online department of these terrorist groups?
And, why is it that creatures who claim to be humans here on Nairaland are more likely to criminalize IPOB and Yoruba Nation agitators than Buhari and his FG just because of 30k N-Power stipend? You see, many of those who are killed today refused to speak up yesterday. Also, many who fail to speak up today, will be killed tomorrow.
Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Seun. Let the world hear that IPOB and Yoruba Nation agitators (not Fulani herders and bandits) are the cause of food scarcity in Nigeria. |
