Now, the bashing starts. |
Sounds sensible. This world seems to get ever more dangerous by the day. Let me see what others think. |
I START: Below are the tips I have for everyone to stay safe. I will add more as I remember them. Now, also share the ones you know: 1. Don't post your residential address online. 2. Don't share details about your children or the members of your household online. 3. Don't go to an unfamiliar location alone. 4. Whenever you drive, watch your back through the side mirror and if you ever notice anything that looks like someone is following you, pull up at a busy place and let the vehicle pass. Then, follow it up and watch the driver's further behavior and act accordingly. 5. Have the number of a Police team or the Police station in your area. Just ask for it with a good manner of approach, giving your reason. Use the number whenever the occasion demands it - even if you only suspected something sinister. 6. If you ever see any vehicle packed in your neighborhood without any sign that the vehicle broke down, call the attention of other people in your neighborhood to it. Or, you call a Police team. 7. Emphatically instruct the members of your household to always raise an alarm whenever anyone orders them to come to them. Tell them why they need to do this with every courage they can muster. 8. Before you attend any job interview, make sure that you have done a background check on the company. 9. If you survive by doing casual or domestic work in unspecified locations, always tell a close family member where you are working each day. 10. Avoid expressing desperation online. Some evil people can capitalize on it to lure you. |
An African adage has it that, "a wise person learns from what happens to others but a fool waits until trouble engulfs his head". Another one says that "when the corpse of another person's child is being carried, it looks like a bundle of firewood". We have had too many kidnap and murder incidents all over Nigeria in recent years. So, it will be foolish for anyone not to get prepared against such an incident. Those who are bound to say, "not my portion" should know that no one who was ever kidnapped or killed prayed for it. So, it can still happen to anyone else even if they are not praying or prepared for it. Therefore, let's use this opportunity to share any tips we have that can help Nigerians to stay safe in any situation where Government security may fail. |
Things have gone really bad. |
Now, this is serious. |
10mobile:I bet, he won't answer. Meanwhile, this is a nice idea here. How I wished more NLers can join up. My own suggestion is that Nigeria should encourage local industries and farmers to produce more and more. Also, more Nigerians should go into farming and food processing. If we can solve food inflation, the rest will be easier to tackle. Can someone tell me if I made sense? |

marvel2011:He didn't say that people didn't die. He said that there was no attack on the police team before the shooting started. So, he's trying to prove that the police team only staged it and endangered the lives of citizens. |
Please, the Nairaland bot is checkmating me (not allowing me to upload more screenshots). So, any other concerned citizen on Telegram can help us with some screenshots. |

Now, let me tell you why the South is not united. It is not because any particular section of the South is greedy. It is because of 2 reasons: 1. All of the South are greedy and stupidly arrogant. 2. Southerners don't respect one another's feelings. For example, look at the way you (I mean YOU the OP) has mentioned Yoruba without caring that you will hurt the feelings of Yorubas. Now, tell me how the average Yoruba would be happy uniting with you. Southern Nigerian are very stupid. If they knew what is coming to them, they will unite TODAY. Go and listen to the message THE POLITICS OF TERRORISTS AND BANDITS and EVIL STRATEGY IN THE SOUTH on Telegram @ExpoNg and you see how stupid most Southerner like the op are. |
Monk and businessman. What an interesting combination! Many people will not discern the irony in his message. Lalasticlala, Seun, Mynd44, this is good for fp on a Sunday morning. Thanks. |
neutralmind:OK. I had wanted to share the contact privately to avoid going against forum rules. But, Nairaland doesn't allow me to contact many people by email. So, I decided to add the contact details to my profile. Anyone else can take note of this as well. |
There is a comprehensive plan for the development of a unique type of executive adult entertainment centers across the country. It is based on a psycho-social study of Nigeria (the study discovered a huge but neatly unexplored demographic group spread all over the Nation and what they desire in entertainment - not the usual sexy displays). This is going to be a share-holding venture in a near future. But, for now, it needs foundational investors. So, if you think you can invest at this level, just indicate your interest. Then, I will contact you privately on how to get more detail on the business model and the mode of operation. Please, kindly note that I rarely come here. So, responding to you might take a while sometimes. Thank you. |
How come you want to take away the ex-President's honor absolutely? How can a man lose to a party as a sitting President and goes ahead to contest for the next election in the party he lost to? Where else do humans give such a dirty piece of advice? This is just the truth. Lalasticlala |
HelloWriter:Beautiful one!!! Mikel has a twin brother and twin daughters. I'm happy for him. Lalasticlala, let's celebrate our own. Thinktwicemybro:I doubt that you are right. Meanwhile, I warn you that ulcer is real. |
Scam. OP, you are not the scammer, you are being scammed. They make you to market for them. Then, they start telling you stories. |
There is an opportunity to work as a part-time reporter with the British Broadcasting Corporation. It is remote. The right candidate should have a good (not perfect) command of the English Language and should have access to original events in his/her environment. If you are interested in this, indicate below. I will contact you privately with other details. |
gregyboy:Why do you buy and for how much? |
Also, why does the age of the account matter? It just sounds fishy to me. Let's say I have an Instagram account with 3k followers. The 3k followers include my family, friends, and fans. Then, I sell it to someone else? What are the implications? |
Stockholm syndrome is generally understood as a rare mental case where oppressed people start loving and defending their oppressors. According to Wikipedia, Stockholm syndrome is a condition in which hostages develop a psychological bond with their captors during captivity.... Emotional bonds may be formed between captors and captives, during intimate time together, but these are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims. The syndrome is rare: according to data from the FBI, about 5% of hostage victims show evidence of Stockholm syndrome.According to some findings, this mental case is manifested more by weak-minded people. A plate of food given to them after being starved during their captivity will make them so grateful to their captors that they may fight you for speaking against the captors. Due to the generally low IQ of Africans, there may be up to 30% of this mental case compared to 5% in the developed world. It is why the average African would sing and dance for an oppressive leader because of a hand-out of cash. There are indicators showing that this high prevalence may have created a vicious circle that may never be broken in 5 centuries because each generation of weak-minded Africans will always beget another generation like them. Indeed, there are minority opinions that, in about 250 years time, Africa would become so backward that the rest of humanity may have advanced to the level of using Africans as pet. HOW THIS MENTAL CASE KEEPS AFRICA POOR AND BACKWARD? 1. It makes Africans generally very submissive to oppressive leadership. 2. It discourages the rise of revolutionary citizenry. 3. It makes selfless leadership unattractive. AN APPEAL Please, I'm doing a research on the prevalence of this mindset among Africans and how it affects political leadership. What I need now are instances of its manifestation in the society that YOU know. Kindly help if you can.

Obstacles are those things you see when you take your eyes off your goal. |
travelwaka:Thanks for your effort and for sharing. Looks good. Please, I have a few questions: 1. Is this now the ONLY place in Lagos where ALL bus journeys begin and end? 2. Is this a model for more terminals? 3. If not, what makes Oshodi the choice beneficiary for this? I'm not jealous though ![]() |
