Family / Re: Single Nigerian Ladies In Diaspora, Any Reason Why You Turn Down Our Guys? by doctimi(m): 3:15pm On Nov 29, 2023 |
Simply superiority complex. They feel they have arrived and are better because they have a great job and have residency or citizenship. I try to suggest to a few single ones to look beyond the papers and be humble enough to even date someone with a temporary status. Such ladies will tell you an outright NO as if that's all there is about relationship and love. Although some had bad experiences, however, when you close your eyes to everyone passing because you're trying to avoid bad people, unfortunately, the good ones will also pass you by. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Warped mindset as usual. Songs glorifying drugs should be discouraged by all. Young ones can easily be swayed by messages from the songs. koffsman: 2 Likes |

Another loophole/avenue to tax property owners. The bureaucracy of obtaining building permits and such fitness certificates, the hidden fees, charges, the pain and rigors will continually contribute to increasing rental cost. 1 Like |

Do not accept him. A man who has nothing cannot take care of you or your child. You may regret it. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Do not let your sense of judgement be clouded by emotions. You cannot help him just as he can't help but be a burden to you at this time. 4 Likes |

Hi Buddy, I think you are doing well for yourself. People have earned more than that and still relocated albeit for different reasons. I was earning lesser (about 8 mil per annum) when I relocated and I did for 3 reasons. Money for me was secondary. 1. I desire to have a passport that gives me access to at least 50-60 countries without the hassle of visa application. 2. I wanted some international education, work experience and exposure. 3. I'm single, so I considered it as an adventurous move, such that if it flop, I'll return and start my life again. Fear of the unknown can be a repressive tool If the reason for relocation is to make more money, I won't say that's a flawed perspective. However, you just need to have some realistic expectation. I believe a lizard cannot be a crocodile in Manitoba. If you can make money in Nigeria, then you can make it else where. That said, other indices should also guide your decision. Sometimes last year, I collapsed on the highway while driving due to some kidney issues. I was picked up by the paramedics and fixed like a broken machine around 2am and in 72hours, I was back up. I'm grateful to God for that experience. I can't say categorically that I could have survived such crisis if in Nigeria. I hope this simple story can help you make some informed decisions. I should also say, same way there are rich and poor peeps in Nigeria, so there are in Canada. It's not a perfect society, but it offers some sanity, opportunities and peace of mind. If our dear Nigeria offers that, lots of people will return. On making more money.... I wish you well. Like the state of Florida, may your life be filled with sunshine. 13 Likes |
