BABYLON THE GREAT! Her filthy cup is filled with the wine of abominations. But OP, why you dey publish lies on top funny photoshop just for clicks? |
Then there are those who believe the abomination of desolation is the Roman standards which were worshiped in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. at the time of its destruction by Titus. Just what exactly is the abomination of desolation? Is it any one of these alternatives? Is it all of them at the same time? Or could it be possible that not any of these interpretations are correct? Find purely biblical answers to these questions here: www.amazingfacts.org/media-library/book/e/51/t/the-abomination-of-desolation Cc: analice107 |
Christians of many persuasions recognize this text as a definite and peculiar sign concerning the last days. Yet even though the majority of them can agree that the abomination of desolation is an important sign, they can't seem to agree on its specific nature. Even preachers are thrown into a quagmire of confusion - looking for something that no one is very sure about. It is a perfect example of the blind leading the blind. Of course, some believe they know the identity of the abomination of desolation. Some teach that this prophecy was fulfilled when Antiochus Epiphanes interrupted the temple sacrifices between 168 and 165 B.C. The abomination they point to is the pig Antiochus had offered on the altar in the temple complex. Others believe the abomination of desolation refers to a future time when an atheistic anti-christ will overthrow the temple in Jerusalem and use it as his throne. |
One of the most interesting prophecies in the Bible concerns the abomination of desolation. The element that makes this prophecy especially intriguing is that Jesus identifies it as a specific sign that the end is near. It was in answer to the disciples' question, "When shall these things be and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" that Jesus spoke of the abomination of desolation. He said, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (Whoso readeth, let him understand: ) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains... for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matthew 24:3,15-21). |
5solas:There are two phases of salvation: salvation from sin(which happens when a sinner repents and embraces a new life) and salvation from the presence of sin(which will happen when Christ returns). Somebody can go back to sin, even after repenting. Is such a person saved? I can't save myself. I never said so. When I say "Salvation is a lifelong process", I mean you have a part to play in your race towards Heaven. The end is Heaven. To make Heaven, you have to continue living in obedience to GOD till the end.(Matt. 24:13). Thus, you are getting saved. |
Praise to the Lord the Almighty, the King of Creation Oh my soul praise Him for He is thy Rock and Salvation All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near Join ye in glad adoration selah. |
Jesus will not chase a homosexual away. However, if the person refuses to change from his abominable lifestyle, then he is deliberately heading for destruction. "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor. 6:9-10 |
"Once saved, always saved" is not biblical. Salvation is a lifelong process. |
That does not mean we are not to respond to sincere questions about GOD and His love for humanity, according as we have knowledge. We are to be ready to answer any man who requires of us a reason for our faith and hope.(1 Pet. 3:15). Finally, brethren, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." Eph. 5:6 GOD bless you. |
Dear Brethren, Peace and grace from our Lord Jesus Christ. To Him be glory, honour, power, majesty and thanksgiving now and forever. Amen. "But shun profane and vain babblings; for they will increase unto more ungodliness." 2 Tim. 2:16 The return of our Lord Jesus Christ is very near, even at hand. No doubt, Satan is working very hard to make sure that many people will be lost. He employs any and every tactic possible in this quest of his, one of which is distracting the children of GOD from spreading the true, priceless word of the gospel. He comes through human agents, bringing distracting and mocking and, sometimes, senseless questions, and engages us in vain and profitless arguments. Most times, these arguments, rather than edify us, weigh us down spiritually. We even get tempted to use words that are unbecoming of the followers of Christ. Jesus says, "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." Col. 4:16. |
Smallville10:Thank you so much. |
raphieMontella:So you have a spirit? Wow. Tell me more. |

promise101:LOL. True. |
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." Gen. 1:26. One of the prime reasons why GOD created Adam and Eve adults was that the whole of creation would be under their care. They were to look after creation. Surely babies cannot be put in charge of a house, not to talk of the whole of creation. |
wirinet:You can choose to be saved and you can choose to be lost eternally. |
Nice one bro. Thumbs up. |
johnydon22:Fine. |
analice107:No dear. I quite agree that nobody can quench the fire of hell. However, it will go out when it does it work of complete destruction. |
sinequanon:
|
johnydon22:No. In fact, I beg you to scrutinize my religion all the more objectively. Perhaps, I pray, in doing so you might find out that it contains the truth. |
johnydon22, Nobody will burn forever. The fire of the wrath of GOD will totally destroy Satan and sinners. They will cease to exist. It is not for me to punish. Vengeance belongs to GOD. Bro, why overwork yourself over this? You know within your heart that even if GOD came down today just to tell you that He exists, you would dismiss such occurrence as hallucination. Yet GOD did come. About 2000 years ago. The whole of creation groans under the weight of sin today just because GOD wants to prove to all and sundry that He's not a tyrant, and that loving obedience to Him is in the best interest of His creatures. You know GOD could have quickly destroyed Satan, and sin would not have spread to other creatures. However, it would have made solid Satan's claim that GOD demands worship by force. GOD let creation judge between Him and Satan. This is a mystery. |
wirinet:People before the flood never saw a rain. GOD had not caused it to rain on earth.(Gen. 2:5-6). Moreover, there is no mention of rain in the Bible up until the flood. That was why the flooding of the world through rainfall sounded exceptionally stupid to the pre-flood world, just as the destruction of this earth sounds stupid to some. |
Lennycool:You must answer this question before I answer yours: If dinosaurs are tens of millions of years old, why have scientists found dinosaur bones with soft tissue in them? Even blood vessels and cells? see link here: www.nbcnews.com/id/7285683/ns/technology_and_science-science/t/scientists-recover-t-rex-soft-tissue/#.Us3cl7SmbF0 |
wirinet:Salvation from eternal loss. No. Salvation is not by force. You can choose to be saved. You can choose to be lost. It's a choice dear. |
Lennycool:The Power of GOD. Do you have a record of a rainbow appearing before the deluge? GOD simply told Noah that the rainbow is a sign to him that He will no longer destroy the world by water. Whenever we see the rainbow, we remember that. It depends on what you mean by civilization. That word is ambigous in this context. |
