Just as you can never finish counting numbers, you cannot finish discovering GOD's goodness smiley

A human certainly can as a being with choice unless you take away the ability to choose - Only then can the bolded hold true ego it becomes forced.

Doesn't this then contradict your very own assertion above " We will live like normal Humans in Heaven. We will build houses"

even study and travel - what then is there to be more human than sex, food and marriage..

Why then do you think they are unneeded but study, building and travelling are ...?

Who happens to need houses and golden mansions - Yes?
You're right. smiley We won't have the choice to sin again in Heaven. Those who will be saved are those who recognise that even eternity is not enough to tell of GOD's glory.

Jesus Christ tells us we will be like angels in Heaven. Neither sex nor procreation is needed in Heaven. The population of Heaven is innumerable. The urge for sex won't even be there.

Yes. We'll learn in Heaven. Any type of wholesome learning you can think of.

- First comprehending infinity is useless and irrelevant.

-Second so it all boils down to praising God for all time?

What about sex, marriage and food we get to do those too?
Hmm. I can relate to your feelings. Some people also feel that it is useless to be alive.

There is no forced praise in Heaven. Even here on earth, we admire and stand in awe of great men. We even sing their praises. Why? Because we feel they are worthy of it, either by virtue of their statuses or by virtue of their achievements. That is exactly what's gonna happen in Heaven. As we see GOD for how awesome He is, we cannot resist praising Him.

There's no marriage in Heaven. There's no sex there. There's no need for that.

We won't have this type of bodies, actually, in Heaven. We'll be like angels.

johnydon22:
elaborate on both
1. GOD is infinite. He is a mystery in Himself. Moreover, His ways and His thinking is far above our finite comprehension. A Creator who is able to bring this highly complex Universe into existence is certainly can't be discovered fully even throughout eternity. In Heaven, as we continue to discover how majestic and excellent and magnificent He is, we would only be compelled to praise Him the more.

2. We will live like normal Humans in Heaven. We will build houses, aside the mansions we would own in GOD's golden city, Jerusalem. We will study. We will continue to discover more about GOD's creation. We don't know how many stars there are in the Universe now, but we will know then. We can travel to any galaxy we want and check out anything we want. We will have all eternity to unravel the mystery and beauty of Creation.

Ok what are people going to be doing with all that time?
1.Exploring GOD Himself.

2. Exploring His Creation.

Yes there are slight tugs from every celestial object within the gravitational horizone of another - while these slight changes may be less noticeable on the bigger body [as the earth's effect on the sun is] there is still a very subtle effect...
These "tugs" from all the celestial bodies would then tend to balance each other out, since no significant change is observed in the size of the earth's orbit. Something like an equilibrium of forces. What do you think?

Alrights just one more question ..

Mention at least 5 things that you "think" will make heaven a blissful place?
1. There will be no death.

2. There will be no disease of any form.

3. There will be no stress. There will be no hunger.

4. GOD Himself will be seen face to face.

5. There will be no war. There will be no insecurity.

What is the magnitude of the gravitational force of attraction between the earth and the sun? Can small celestial bodies "pull" the earth any farther from the sun by the virtue of the gravitational force of attraction they can exert on the earth?

I'd very much like to know your thoughts on the question.
Pheew! I have many things to say about Heaven. It's a place of endless bliss. All the things that make us sad here won't be there.

I can very much assure you that all my thoughts on the question are contained in that link.

Scientists are still experimenting on the ability of Mars to support life. Life has not been discovered outside earth.

johnydon22:
actually the sun has seen a slight decrease in temperature over the years and such miniscule difference even on the increasing tilt still is insignificant to life or even the temperature of the solar system.

appearance and disappearance of sunspots are also due to change in temperature at least in the given areas - these are insignificant rise/fall therefore do not matter neither does it affect temperature or activities in the solar system..

so you agree it voids that point of earth getting 1meter near or farther.

Due to the elliptical orbit of the planetary bodies - Gravity sir....
Hmm. Well, I still believe there is an optimum temperature of the sun at which life is possible.

At least we agree that the distance round the earth's orbit is fixed.
Christianity Etc › Re: Nature: Made For Man Or Indifferent To Man's Existence? by DoctorAlien(m): 12:05am On Oct 09, 2016
johnydon22,

I admit that I hadn't rendered my statement in the best words that would portray what I had I mind.

I should have said "If the earth's orbit is expanded or reduced by even 1 metre, there would be catastrophe."
Christianity Etc › Re: Nature: Made For Man Or Indifferent To Man's Existence? by DoctorAlien(m): 12:02am On Oct 09, 2016
johnydon22:
this is untrue sir, if it was 1° hotter that'd be majorly insignificant to the temperature on earth.

The earth is not always the same distance from the sun, there are times when it is nearest and farthests from it so again this point is also untrue brother.

At the farthest point of the earth from the sun [we call aphelion], the planet is about 152million km away from the sun.

But at the closest point [Perihelion] the earth is about 47.1million km away..

the average distance of the earth and sun is 152million km.. so the earth not only gets more than 1meter near and farther away but actually millions of meters away and near at different points and time.
We can only pray the sun doesn't even get 0.01oC hotter.

Yes, I know about perihelion and aphelion. But do you realise that year after year, the earth's distance from the sun at aphelion has always been the same? And the same for perihelion?

Please highlight on this smallest degrees of difference that'd made the solar system unhabitable...
Assuming the sun was even 1oC hotter than it is now, we would all be burned up. And if the sun was colder by the same difference, we would all freeze on earth.

Same thing is applicable if the earth was even 1 metre nearer to or further away from the sun.

Christianity Etc › Re: Nature: Made For Man Or Indifferent To Man's Existence? by DoctorAlien(m): 11:39pm On Oct 08, 2016
I really hope this will be a highly intellectual, friendly, bereft-of-any-abusive-word discussion.

On that note, I would say that Nature was made to suit man. I say this because the earth and the solar system is impeccably suited for life. Scientific research proves that a difference, even of the minutest degree, in the condition of the earth and of the solar system, would make life impossible.

Awesome. If you can, please could you read my other posts that I hyperlinked in my previous post? This would help our interaction be more productive, as you would know more about how I've thought about the issue and we'd be able to engage each other more productively.
Okay. I will.

These "atheists" can be really incoherent when you challenge them with real logic. Can you imagine this one above? What is "threat"? sad

I couldn't even make anything out of that sentence.

Yes! Africa has never been atheistic because the developed countries you all stated knows better and large number of people over there are Atheist.

Yes again, Africa can never been Atheistic because the believing mechanism tool such as religion was done away with by the developed world and they has to adopt science and invested so much in it educationally and practically, guess what? Years later they landed on the moon using same science. So maybe if African starts learning to be Atheistic we would dump our irrational believes and embrace science to take us further. However, Christianity came from them but they had to do away with it because primitive men brought about religion and modern rational man would consider it backward to still practice religion.
Tell us who the modern rational man is.

Atheists will stop talking about God when you stop believing in things for which there is no good evidence, which are almost certainly not true.
Do you know that you have no proof that GOD does not exist?

Atheists are hypocrites. I expect to hear "I don't know if GOD exists" and not "GOD does not exist."

Before you reply me, chew and digest this apt, albeit not perfect definition(can GOD be defined?) of GOD.

"GOD is the Creator and Sustainer of, and not a part of the Universe."

Good questions. Trust me I didn't want to stop believing in what I thought was God at the time.

Yes it would be apt to discuss these topics on a separate new thread between you and I. Do create the thread and with prompts you want me to respond to and we can get started.

I will start responding sometime tomorrow because I'm a bit busy at the moment.

I look forward to it.
Great!

See you there. smiley
Christianity Etc › Re: THE SABBATH ÐAÝ: Saturday Or Sunday? by DoctorAlien(m): 4:30pm On Oct 08, 2016
Saint Paul urges us in 1 Cor. 4:16 to imitate him.

Again, Paul urges us in 1 Cor. 11:1 to imitate him, just as he imitated Christ.

Now, if we are to imitate Paul(and ultimately Christ), are we not to keep the Sabbath, just as Paul did(Acts 17:2)?
