raymondFirstborn:but you being a QS outrightly said there is no need for another approval. You are just waking up to realise that a structural engineer would be called upon?. |
raymondFirstborn:let's desist from giving wrong advices. if you don't know, kindly step aside and read comments. a renovation of that magnitude would need approval and even integrity test on the existing bungalow. Let's build safe. |
Rubbiish:12mm should be for baskets but obviously, reinforcements are overbloated. |
queensnow:What size is the black wet leather shoe and what is the price. also indicate your location. Cheers. |

sinorte:Let me suggest that you receive quotes by email instead of an open bidding process which you have initiated by asking contractors to drop their quotation in the open. my reasons are as follows 1. If you are a layman in the construction industry, there is a 99 percent tendency that you would want to go for the bidder with the lowest contract sum. Although you need to understand that the lowest bid does not always guarantee a qualitative delivery. You need to balance quality of work with contract cost. 2. Every contractor knows that you are on the look out for the lowest contract cost. so assume Mr A gives an estimate of 100 naira, there is a tendency that Mr B would want to give you at 90 naira just to gain your confidence with the 10 naira price difference. And bear in mind that there are more hustling contractors on nairaland that the professional ones. Cheers |

Would you rather have him steal to survive?. Get yourself educated on trivial issues like this. If you are not comfortable with what he does, is there a way you can help him get better? Abi which kind thing be this one again. person never chop, this one dey talk of female python pet. Politicians go give us headache, Tonto and her other yeyebrities go bring their own wahala, Hushpuppi, mompha, Pretty Mike and their numerous colleagues who we can't put a trace to a particular job they do will go about displaying madness. I opine that we are all not sane in this country try. Those of us that still act normal have not seen what activates our insanity. |
one just keeps wondering why we are so unlucky with leadership in this country. when you think you have seen it all, a state government will go on to buy 300 pages off a newspaper to publish how salaries are being paid. We are just so unfortunate in this part of the world. Well, it's either the owners of leadership newspaper is an ally to the governor or the governor has a stake in the newspaper company. albeit, Kogi people should start exploring means of unseating their present governor before he plunges them into further penury. |
we keep dragging the government into everything. Not forgetting that their responsibility to federal and state universities have not even been met. incessant strikes in government schools have not been solved and we want government to start helping to fund private universities. It can't fit to work. |
etenyong:I see your mediocre and worm infested brain won't allow you accept you have erred even after I have pointed out your blindness. people like you don't just know when to stop displaying your foolery. That been said, run along boy. today isn't your day. |
etenyong:shebi the craze wey dey worry your head no allow you see the pictures well before you opened that your mouth turned shit hole to talk to me about not reading properly. Buffon that you are! |
so 100 level engineering student na him dem don dey tag engr David. like say dem no sabi say this country dey change person destiny. anyways, RIP to him. |
nickxtra:the problem is foundation badly done. You need to understand that corrective measures in buildings are usually more expensive than doing the right thing in the first place. IT'S one thing to be worried about water seepage, it's another things to be ready to put the corrective measures in place. Provided your building has columns supporting the walls, solution is to introduce water proof membrane along the walls. A process that requires you to crack open the walls. This disallows further upward movement of water from the soil. Using tiles does not come as a permanent solution to this problem in my opinion and it distorts the visual effect of your interior space. |
such an abrupt reaction by Law an and Ekweremadu. in their opinion, the bill should be allowed to thrive because of the sponsor but not due to the ingenuity of the bill. overtly mundane thinking. Which means that a bill proposing a specialised university for health sciences would have been turned down if it was sponsored by a first time in the Senate or by anybody other than David Mark.? Where did we get this crop of myopic leaders sef. |
they only got whiter |
havillaplus:As much as I want to applaud the researcher of this article, I think lack here is a very strong word to use. how do we explain the attitude of clients and developers in employing competent hands in building construction. what you get is a bad contractor when contract sums are poorly negotiated and clients and developers go for the lowest bidder. You may want to research into the "lekki gardens" scheme. Better put, rather than stating lack of competent builders, the problem is proliferation if half baked contractors who would jump at anything thrown at them.by clients and developers seems more appropriate. THIS is not neglecting greed expressed by clients and developers in maximising profit. |
Statsocial:Still does not justify that he gets a ten year tax holiday behind the books. Tax holiday without a criteria. wether embezzlement at FIRS or wherever, the proposed cost of the project should determine how long tax holiday. the Dangote conglomerate is a very big one already and with his refinery starting operation soon, we just got ourselves shot in the leg, all thanks to Mr 'fix it' 'self acclaimed holy' "78 million website" Fashola |
Fashola keeps giving us reasons to know he isn't really as clever and clean as he claims. In as much and we understand that 35km concrete based road is a huge deal, I still don't understand why the rush in declaring a 10 year tax holiday already. He claimed that they await the road design and obviously, the bill of quantities. I am worried as to how they concluded that a 10 year tax holiday to a conglomerate as large as Dangote group is worth the cost of a 35km concrete road. What happens if at the end of the day, the cost of the road is just equivalent to a 6 year tax payment by Dangote group?. SMH |
just in case you still need answers. Yes. Truly, there is improved power supply on that axis as against 2015. Let me however inform you that , findings have shown that the left hand side enjoys more supply than the right hand side. That is, the areas opposite shop rite, crown estate and farapark have more power supply than the side where those landmarks are located. Cheers. |
McIrx:congrats on your invite. unfortunately, I don't have any info about the firm but I can sure help out with getting there. take a brt bus from anywhere in ikorodu to CMS. once you drop at cms, locate the pedestrian bridge and use it to get to the other side of the road. once on the other side, ask for bookshop house. it's trekable. cheers |
Naomi222:welcome Naomi. it was my first time visiting Ijero last month. beautiful and ancient town with an interesting undulating landscape. Please remind me not to go back there without a cardigan. That place is chilling cold. mobile network in Ijero isn't fair. could be due to the undulating landscape. |
