Christianity Etc12 Nigerians, Ghanaians Thrown Into Sea ‘for Being Christian’ by dodoniyi(op): 6:54am On Apr 17, 2015
https://nationalmirroronline.net/new/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Migrants-arrive-at-Palermo%E2%80%99s-harbour-Italy-after-being-rescued-at-the-sea-620x350.jpg

Twelve Nigerian and Ghanaian migrants were thrown overboard following a fight concerning their Christian religion, Italian police said yesterday. The police said 15 African Muslim migrants have arrested over the incident. .

The victims were “of Christian faith, compared to their attackers who were of Muslim faith,” police said in a statement, saying the 15 people arrested were accused of “multiple aggravated murders motivated by religious hate”.

The incident aboard the rubber dinghy, which was carrying about 100 migrants, took place in the Strait of Sicily, between Tunisia and Italy.

According to a group of Nigerian and Ghanaian survivors, a fight broke out over religion, with a group of Muslim passengers threatening the Nigerians and Ghanaians after the latter – who were in the minority – declared themselves to be Christians.

“The threats then materialised and 12 people, all Nigerian and Ghanaian, are believed to have drowned in the Mediterranean,” the statement added.

The 15 migrants arrested over the attack on their arrival in Palermo were from Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal.

In a separate migrant tragedy, as many as 41 migrants were feared drowned after refugee boat sank in the Mediterranean, Italian media reported.

Four survivors reported the incident to Italian police and humanitarian organizations.

The four survivors said they were originally from Sub-Saharan Africa and had left the city of Tripoli in Libya on Saturday. They then stayed adrift for four days before their boat was wrecked, the IOM spokesman said in a statement.

“It appears that the four were found floating in the sea by a helicopter and were then rescued by the military ship Foscari,” the IOM said.

The war of words between Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido and ex-Minister of Internal Affairs in the Second Republic, Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf, over Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign funds heightened yesterday, as the governor vowed to jail Yusuf before leaving office on May 29.

Governor Sule Lamido
Senator Yusuf, aside from dragging the leadership of PDP in Jigawa State before a Federal High Court in Dutse for defamation and character assassination, also vowed to expose the governor’s activities and release the threat message sent him by the governor.
The governor and PDP had accused Senator Yusuf of diverting the money given him to distribute to the electorate in his constituency to mobilize them to vote for the party, but was angry that the Senator did not only divert the money but also defected to All Progressives Congress, APC.
Governor Lamido’s text message, according to Senator Yusuf, read: “True, I have only five weeks to go, but I will jail you before I go.
“We also, today (yesterday) at council meeting, discussed Garun Gabas road contract and by council authority sent all related documents to EFCC and copied same to Buhari, the President-elect.”
Effort to contact Commissioner of Information, Babandi Ibrahim, for further comments on the issue proved abortive as he did not pick several calls made to his line.

Let’s see who ‘ll be jailed—YUSUF
However, in a swift reaction, Senator Yusuf explained that no amount of threat and intimidation from Governor Lamido would deter him.

Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf,
He said: “He is just not happy with my defection to APC and if he continues to threaten me, I will expose some of his shady deals. So we will see who will be jailed.”
Meanwhile, Senator Yusuf has sued PDP for defaming his character, having alleged that he diverted N15 million campaign fund given to him to distribute to the electorate in his constituency.
In a statement by Yusuf’s Media Consultant, Mohammed Ismail, he is seeking for an order of perpetual injunction at the Federal High Court, Dutse, against the defendants for defamation of character, asking for N1 billion damages.
Yusuf said: “Did they give me cash or cheque? Sule Lamido will never forgive me because he felt I was the one who brought him down.
“Why should he give me money for campaign? Am I a leader of his party? What kind of money?
“This is a person who will never want go down alone. I swear by Allah, he will never relent to want to tear my name.
“Do you remember five years ago, when he revoked a road contract and said I had to refund some money, which turned out to be false?
“He is just blackmailing me for leaving PDP to join APC and to help in its victory in the just-concluded elections. The whole thing is his fabrication.”

Ethiopian Tescma Marcus had been in South Africa for only four months. He came here to join his older brother run a spaza shop in Umlazi township, Durban.

On Friday night the 22-year-old became the latest victim of a spate of xenophobic attacks that has engulfed Durban. Marcus died at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital in Umlazi at 8pm on Friday night with third-degree burns.

His brother Alex, 24, was also burnt when a mob locked them inside the container in which they had set up their shop and torched it.

His brother sustained burn wounds on his head, left arm and both legs. Speaking from his hospital bed yesterday – unaware that his brother had died – Alex recounted how they were trapped inside the burning container for an hour.

It was only after Point Sindane, 67, the owner of the property on which their shop stood, in Umlazi’s W section, managed to open the door with a crowbar that they were able to get out. Sindane used a hosepipe to extinguish the flames eating away at their bodies.

“My body is still burning,” said Alex yesterday. “I was crying inside the container while I was burning. We were locked inside for almost an hour.”

He said his brother had joined him only four months ago to help him run the spaza shop. Their goods, worth more than R20000, were burned to ashes inside the container.

“It’s painful what they are doing to us. We are all Africans. My brother and I were just working – why kill us?” said Alex.

Despite the attack he is determined to remain in South Africa. The brothers’ story is similar to that of thousands of other foreigners – from Malawi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Mozambique, the DRC and Tanzania – who have been driven from their communities since the attacks started in Isipingo, south of Durban, three weeks ago.

The displaced families are living in transit camps at Isipingo Beach and in Chatsworth. The attacks on foreigners have been linked to King Goodwill Zwelithini, who, in Pongola on March 20, urged the government to expel them.

He has denied saying this but in a recording he can clearly be heard saying: “We ask foreign nationals to pack their belongings and go back to their countries,” as his audience cheers.

Yesterday, the king’s spokesman, Prince Thulani Zulu, was livid because the attacks continue to be linked to the king’s comments.

He was outraged by calls for Zwelithini to convene a public gathering at which he would “clarify” his remarks.

“The people who are dying are the king’s people. It’s very sad to the king that his people are killing each other. People in Pongola heard what the king said and people in Pongola are not fighting. These are just thugs. The king has never said that people must be killed,” Zulu said.

This week hundreds of foreigners fled their homes in Chatsworth and Sydenham after coming under attack. Their properties were ransacked and looted on Tuesday night, and dozens of people were injured in Umlazi on Thursday night.

On Friday, there were attacks in the Unit 11 informal settlement in Chatsworth and in Umlazi resulting in dozens of families taking refuge at the local police station.

They were taken to a local football ground, where a temporary camp and marquees were erected to accommodate them.

SA Human Rights Commission spokesman Isaac Mangena said the alleged utterances of the king, and the comments last week by President Jacob Zuma’s son, Edward, were being investigated.

The president’s son reportedly told News24.com: “We need to be aware that, as a country, we are sitting on a ticking time bomb of them [foreigners] taking over the country. We can’t rule out the possibility of a coup in the future.”

On Wednesday church leaders protested outside Durban City Hall and called for a meeting with the Zulu king. They asked for the monarch to convene a public gathering and speak to his followers about the attacks on foreigners.

On Thursday, Zuma, speaking at an event to commemorate the death of Chris Hani 22 years ago, condemned the “creeping problem of what appears to be xenophobia in our country”.

The president said not all foreigners in South Africa were in the country illegally and many contributed to the economy with their skills.

PoliticsWhat Mistakes Ndi Igbo Now Has To Pay For? by dodoniyi(op): 6:52am On Apr 15, 2015
“After the presidential election and the collation of the results from 36 states and the FCT the reality began to dawn on Ndi Igbo”, claims Joe Onwukeme, Naij.com reader and guest contributor from Enugu state. What have they not taken into account when chosing a prefered candidate?

For every decision or action one undertakes in life there’s a reason. However, what I am yet to understand at this moment is the reason why we, Ndi Igbo, have decided to put all our eggs in one basket during the presidential election.

After the presidential election and the collation of the results from 36 states and the FCT that reality began to dawn on Ndi Igbo. While other regions were busy celebrating the results of the presidential poll, we all bowed our heads in shame not because our preferred presidential candidate lost, but because we realized very late we had shot ourselves in the foot.

In our desperation to re-elect President Jonathan we’ve lost our common sense. Even when the odds against him became glaringly obvious, we allowed the sentiments to overrule our conscience without thinking of the consequences. We have lost out entirely.

After May 29 handover, when the 8th parliament will be inaugurated, we won’t have any of our elected senators on the platform of the APC emerging as the majority party in the upper chamber.

There’s no ethnic group that was not represented in the outgoing PDP-led government. However, it didn’t prevent the people from other regions, that had benefited from the PDP-led government even more, from voting against their people in other political parties that would represent them at the centre.

Here, in the southaest, the PDP is seen as a mini god. Anyone against the PDP is seen as an outcast. We’ve taken that mindset to the presidential election. We knew in some places the PDP would lose, and we manipulated the results in favour of the PDP candidates.

That is the only reason why such outspoken and charismatic senator as Dr Chris Ngige of the APC, with a proven track record of performance, has lost his re-election to the Senate.

The APC has won the majoriry of the seats in their strongholds in the northern and western parts of the country. However, it didn’t prevent the electorate in those regions from electing or re-electing some of their legislatures on the platform of the PDP.

Other ethnic groups have taught us a great lesson. It’s not all about party, it’s about choice and interest. That’s why in some cases they’ve looked beyond ethnic, religious and party affiliations to vote for their choices. However, in our own case we’ve voted every individual of the PDP not because they are our choices, but because they are in the ruling party.

Our precipitous actions have disqualified us from contesting for the Senate, presidency and the speaker of the House of Reps including their deputies. It would be extremely painful watching helplessly what we could have contested unopposed by other regions. We have lost it and may not get it again till 2019 because of our own selfish and parochial interests.

There is a question I have been asking my fellow Ndi Igbo. Now we have lost out in all elections at the federal level under the APC. How are we going to cope with the APC-led government we’ve never supported and haven’t even hidden our hatred during the campaigns?

When Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Igbo sociocultural group claiming to represent the interests of Ndi Igbo, endorsed President Jonathan for another term, I asked what was the moral justification behind it if not some personal gains? Had Ohaneze Ndigbo considered their members in other political parties before they endorsed President Jonathan as their presidential candidate? We all know the endorsement never comes without a reward.

Ohaneze Ndi Igbo has recently been functional during general election battling with credibility problems as a result of its meddlesomeness in politics. However, its endorsement of President Jonathan and his failure at the poll have stripped Ohaneze Ndi Igbo of the remaining credibility.

We have also refused to learn from history. The adopted political parties have won other elective posts in the strongholds of some of the political parties endorsing them many times. After adopting President Jonathan as its presidential candidate for re-election, the APGA, even being the ruling party in Anambra state, could not win a single seat out of 3 senatorial seats in the state. Now it is protesting against being rigged out of the 3 senatorial seats by the ruling party whose presidential candidate it has endorsed.

Those narrow-minded among us have realized the cost of putting all their eggs in one basket, but its already too late to make amends. We are like the proverbial mother that poured out the bath water on the baby.

Think of many federal projects Igbo senate president would have attracted to the eastern region. I mean, the visit to Enugu West and its environ would convince you that if the present deputy president of the Senate had attracted such federal presence in his state, Igbo senate president under the APC would have done more for the southeastern region.

Putting all our eggs in one basket have taught us a great lesson. While we continue paying the price of our costly mistake, the pains of ignorantly rejecting what could have been offered to us on a platter of gold will continue to hunt and hurt us till 2019.

There is no question about my people being very resourceful and productive, but we lack political leadership. We may have astute political players, but there is no mentoring, no structure and therefore no political future. The maximum we can achieve politically is that others will concede to us, but not what we deserve by virtue of strategic thinking and alliance.

But this man's prophecies always come out when an event has already occurred.

Because of the way he does his things, that was why I predicted the above topic yesterday. I predicted his action and it came to pass. HILARIOUS!!!! Hahahahaha

Mallam El Rufai of the APC scored 864,693 votes over Alh. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of the PDP, who scored 293,201 votes.

Meanwhile, Chief Returning Officer for Kaduna State gubernatorial election, Professor Jafar Kaura has announced a short break around 12 noon, as the results from the remaining 8 LGAs are being awaited.

As the remaining results are being awaited, Kaduna is breathless, with most of the streets deserted in anticipation of the wild, “violent” jubilation that visited the victory of Gen. Mohammadu Buhari, as President-Elect under the APC penultimate week. Scores were killed in self-caused accidents and many more secured injuries in many northern areas of the state from weird jubilation over the victory.

But, it would seem as if government is determined to reduced that kind of jubilation, as ferocious looking, armed police and military personnel were seen manning many of the likely hot areas of Kaduna town.

sameer1212:
If u repent and promise never to repeat it again, he will forgive. GOD is merciful. Cheers!
The question is: Is there any repercussion or consequence?

If he sincerely asks for God's forgiveness of his sins, surely God will forgive him but that will not stop the happening of the repercussion of such action now or in the future, before or after his death.

Remember the fornication committed by David, the King.

After the fornication, God sent a prophet to him to lay curses upon him for such act. After the prophet had gone, David fell on the floor, pleaded for God's mercy and forgiveness and still his son died and all the prophecies of anger from God upon him came to pass even when he was alive. He witnessed most of them.

You can choose to sin but you cannot choose the consequence of such sin even if you repent from the sin. The consequence is the repercussion in this case.

Even Paul, formerly known as Saul, upon his repentance, upon his effort for the propagation of Gospel of Christ Jesus, and upon his steadfastness in the sight of the Lord, he (Paul) faced or encountered much more anger, hatred, losses, backstabbing, than all the apostles from the people and eventually he had an excruciating death.

Having holy communion and after that committing sin is like you willingly ask for yoke or burden of curses upon yourself.

There are certain things we do that we think there is no consequence once we ask for God's forgiveness.

Yes! In some cases, you may not witness some of the consequences before death, but surely there are consequences passed unto another generation of your children whom they know nothing about your sins.

This is what we call GENERATIONAL CURSES OR SINS which are tormenting many out there without knowing its source.

There are so many instances in the Bible in relation to the Israelites.

Even Nigeria, as a country, is really under so many known and unknown curses for the numerous devilish ways and acts of our forefathers and which are still witnessing the repercussions till today.
There are thousands of unknown innocent blood especially that of the babies crying out for vengeance upon this nation before the Lord day in and day out.

It is only His grace (unmerited or undeserved favour and NOT by mere amount of prayer and fasting OR number of churches) that we need to stop the repercussion. Note that I said GRACE WE NEED.
Mr.A and Mr.B may commit something at the same time but A may die instantly and then B lives. This is a grace which B does not in anyway deserve.

No time for me to expound further.

May God Almighty help us with His grace and mercy to abstain from sins and to eventually reign with Him in Heaven after our death here on earth in Jesus name.

Amen!!!!

PoliticsWATCH OUT For Prophet T.B. Joshua With His Post-election Prophecy by dodoniyi(op): 8:41am On Apr 12, 2015
If my memory serves me well, the alleged Prophet T.B. Joshua did not give any prophecy before governorship elections particularly, the Lagos elections.

He is known for bringing out recorded prophecies of events (fabricated or not) after such events have already occurred.

JUST WATCH OUT!!!

He will certainly say or bring out something about the impending or eventual victory of Ambode of APC in Lagos.

He may tell us that he was the one that persuaded Jimi Agbaje to concede defeat OR he may tell us that he called Ambode a day before the election that he will win the election.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS MOVIE!!!
Hahaahahahahaha
