Did you see anything in that picture? With all the oil wealth of Bayelsa, Yenagoa still looks like a slum. |
bobbiiee:Armored vehicles can do little to minimize the concussive effects high explosives have. Your insides practically turns to goo. |
May his soul rest in peace. But please help me make sense of this statement from the army. "Though the VBIED was intercepted and destroyed by the troops, the shrapnel from the explosion tragically took the lives of those closest to the blast, including Alari, who, as always, was at the front." A VBIED was INTERCEPTED and DESTROYED but shrapnel took out the CO. Did they intercept the explosive with bare hands? An intercept by the very nature of the word means that something was prevented from achieving its aim. Which clearly wasn't the case here! I get that the army needs colorful stories of valor like these from time to time but this is too on the nose. We appreciate the sacrifice these men make and keep making for this nation. |
Anybody driving a toyota is just a temporary owner of the car. Toyota is nothing but ashawo. Easiest cars to steal. |

Gen z worldwide are useless. See even in the US employers are saying the prefer to work with AI than to employ Gen Z. What is so wrong with that generation? Sense irritates them. |
When will the Nigerian army stop this needless waste of the lives of its men? What is an FOB without air cover? How can an attack go unchallenged for hours and an airstrike wasn't called in? We waste billions in buying combat platforms and yet we lack the skills and know how to effectively use them. It is a disgrace that our military would rather prefer to carry millions of dollars to buy fighter jets and helicopters that cannot give immediate eyes on the ground capabilities that a 5000 dollar FPV drone can. That is incompetence as far as I'm concerned. Shocking thing is that boko haram carries out this attack and returns to their base without our military even knowing where the base is located. A cheap drone that hovers over the theatre can trail these attackers to thier base and the coordinates pin pointed for eventually strikes. We have none of that. A competent armed force doesn't experience this kind of humiliation. Certainly not with the billions of defense dollars we have expended over the years. That it keeps happening is very shameful. It calls into question the training of our officers and men. There's a combat footage going around where hundreds of jihadists were attacking a Burkinabe military base. What did the Burkinabe soldiers do? The sent a drone up that was giving them real time video feed of terrorist movements around the base. They then deployed a Bayraktar drone that with just 2 strikes, killed over a hundred jihadists. The rest of the terrorists got the message and fled. Not one soldier in that base lost his life. Does Nigeria not have far more money than Burkina Faso? Yet we don't even have a Bayraktar and this is something Turkey even gives for free. The day we are ready for this thing to end it will end. But so long as people are using this thing to cash out, it will never end. Boko haram is a business the elite are using to cash out. That's the only way the incompetence of our armed forces can be explained. |
Why are they still alive? |
SadiqBabaSani:Thunder fire your papa. Why don't you come and find out if it is an empty boast. |
Fair deal. |
You break into my house, you use your face to stop a bullet. Mind you I didn't shoot at you. I only sent a bullet down a straight path. You unfortunately just choose to drag right of way with the bullet. |
Use and dump how? If pastor Adeboye hadn't given ID the platform of ministry in redeem who would have known him? |
This post is not in anyway an attempt to draw Dangote in bad light. Far from it. Rather it is to highlight and address a very grave misconception about an earlier post made today that placed Lagos as the highest VAT generator in Nigeria. This is the earlier post. https://www.nairaland.com/8326154/what-six-geopolitical-zones-contributed Now, I use Dangote cement as an example to show why it bothers on travesty to place Lagos and indeed the southwest as Nigeria's highest VAT generators. It is known that Dangote cement while headquartered in Lagos, has its major factories or plants in Ibese, Obajana and Gboko. These are in Ogun, Kogi and Benue state respectively. Obajana in Kogi State is the largest cement plant Dangote has. But Dangote cement pays billions as VAT to Lagos State. Why? I know for a fact that a few years ago the Benue state house of assembly had to make issue with Dangote for its refusal to pay taxes and other monies the assembly felt were due to the state. I believe that matter has been resolved. This is outside the issue of VAT. My point is, why is a company that has it's major factories outside Lagos, paying VAT to Lagos? The value wasn't added in Lagos so why is Lagos being paid? Why not Kogi, Ogun or Benue? Now imagine countless other companies producing outside Lagos but paying VAT to Lagos. How does this make sense? It is good that by trying to portray other regions as parasites and leeches, they have drawn attention inadvertently to the skewed advantage Lagos has enjoyed. By all means let's address the VAT matter. Let every company pay VAT to the state it produces in or pay to each state according to what it sells per state. This is justice. |
So a crime gets committed and the presidency prevails on law enforcement agencies (the efcc) to look the other way so that the criminal can return to the country without fear of prosecution? Did I read that right? This is why I support that the EFCC should be dissolved. The organisation has become a pawn in the hands of politicians. If it has to listen to political office holders and refuses to do its constitutional mandate then what basis does the EFCC have to exist? If the law cannot bind everyone, the law should bind no one! That the president is even involved in this is a clear obstruction of justice. The law should not be impotent when the accused is in the good books of the president. It places the president above the law! No wonder Adams Oshiomole could say if you join APC, all your sins are forgiven. Nigeria is a lawless society under the APC. |
So now tribal bastards in support of a failed president are carrying vat matter on thier head? So what should the south-south whose oil has sustained this country for decades do? The vat matter is simple. Every company should pay vat to each state according to the volume of sales it makes per state. Why should lagos state claim to have generated majority of vat when most of the companies in lagos make more sales outside Lagos? If sales aren't made where does the incidence of vat fall? If companies pay vat to each state according to the sales made within the state, governor's will sit up and be pushed to create an investment worthy climate within thier states. All this articles claiming the south west generates the most vat contributions are rubbish. They do not have the population that supports that. They do not have the population that can consume the volume of goods that will keep the vat paying companies in business. So what's with all this bullshit? I don't blame the tribal bastards. It is the lazy northern governors who can't get thier act right that has given smelly mouthed dogs the room to talk. |
What kind of deal..when did he become a celeb.... |
What kind of useless reporting is this? Who cares about Wike and Fubara? The substance of the meeting was about resuming oil exploration in Ogoniland. Why was this not included in the report? Who cares about beer parlor gossip? |
The old naval observatory is what the US uses as the residence of its VP. With every incoming administration, bits of remodelling do get done from time to time but certainly nothing outrageous or bank breaking. |
This lunatic is at it again. |
PulaPower:Trump is a black man now? How dumb are you? |
It will never pass. This is just performative. It needs 2/3rds of the house, Senate and states to pass. This will never happen. |
Bobodee09:I tell you the truth. |
7 thousand goats? Did they clear all the goats in Kano? Peppersoup don yapa be dat. But they don't drink beer so that's a waste of good meat. The governor is a fool. This is what he considers empowerment. Can he empower his wife or daughters with just three goats or any number of goats for that matter? So why does he think it is the good women of Kano who needs goats as empowerment? I forgot! They do mass weddings for intending couples in Kano. Maybe they couldn't find enough husbands and decided to use goats as substitutes. |
