Barring any last minute changes, the United States has concluded plans for military strikes against Iran Reuters reports.

While the scope and magnitude of such an attack isn't immediately clear, the US has signalled it is moving ahead. As a measure of precaution, US bases within the middle east are being evacuated.

The UK has also begun removing personnel from some bases within the middle east as well.

Iran has vowed that it will target all US military formations within the middle east in response.

President Donald Trump's objectives for the proposed strikes aren't exactly clear cut and no US allies have been informed about the strikes. Qatari officials have been working the phones trying to get the white house to rescind the decision to strike. It appears that they've met with no success whatsoever.

Bomb shelters in Israel have been opened up in anticipation of Iran's counter strikes. Prime minister Benjamin Netannyahu is currently said to be in Greece though there was no public mention of that and nothing in his itinerary indicates that this was previously planned.

PS: OSINT reports have it that Saudi Arabia and Qatar have refused giving the US permission to use bases in their country to launch attacks on Iran. A British aerial refuelling tanker had to leave the area as a result.
The US is now left with either launching the attacks from Iraq or from India. This will pose additional logistic difficulties and force the US to return to the drawing board.
