ednut1: it pays to be patient in life, pple wit rebelious characters dont survive in unilorin, d skul has done ntin wrong, they hv released d first list, i was in ilorin last week , and i saw alot of freshers in town, wit all d flaws on unilorin reg dey are nt complainin but chillin, d guy went to d paper to soil d skul name wich id bad, before u make conclusion about d skul ask pple in d system already, as some ere also pointed out, more pple will be admitted evn if it by decemba or 2 days to matric. Am nt claimin i knw every tin, but wen u guys resume u will find out that easy does it ere, peace

Am not in support of that idea either and I dont see any sagacity in it.
But we all dont think alike because we dont view issue the same way, & maybe we are not affected in the same vein, moreover we just need to talk to ourselves with humor so as not to provoke one another.

Unilag releases its list abt a month before resumption. Does its screening before resumption and starts registration before resumption. This is to enable students prepare adequately for school and not have any any reason to miss lectures. The reverse is the case here. Remember Unilag's resumption date is abt a month and a week difference with Unilorin's

Implications of the list being released after resumption:
1. Missed Lectures: All in a bid to finish registration at the appropriate time
2. Accomodation problems
3. Financial problems since they'll give little time for the payment of school and acceptance fee.
4.Crime: Have you forgotten an idle man is the devil's workshop.

Flooding the newspapers with protest is not an attempt to rundown Unilorin bt an attempt to make them aware of the plight of their candidates. In Nigeria today, if u dnt voice out your mind, u are likely to be forgotten. Need i remind you of the abandoned N52billion abuja stadium which was renovated ONLY when newspapers published its overgrown turf. I remember a similar thing happened in Unaab, our student estate was in darkness until we adopted a similar tactic before Amosun donated a transformer for us. If u dnt voice out, u'll surely die in silence.

Mind u, i never encouraged violence bt only created an awareness to remind Unilorin of her "abandoned Candidates".


OLOYEDE, RENEGE ON YOUR PROMISES: "The Outgoing vice-chancellor of Unilorin, Prof Oloyede had in an annual lecture on the 13th of July 2012 expressed his determination to conclude the admission process of the 2012/2013 session before October. He added that this year's admission will be free and fair". This was contained in the school's bulletin on Monday,16th July 2012.

The school has postpone her resumption date to 8 of october, I hope the 2nd list will be out by that time.

A Little Boy called Onyemaechia primary 5 pupil was so much hated by his class teacher Mrs Ekweme. She does every thing within her power to disfavour Onyemaechi whenever opportunity presents itself. Its a Good course if you like it, things are special when you think them, and take them special.
It deals with the morphology, physiology and likes of animals,
you can work in any field that is relivant to the course, you can even further and end up a medical Dr., Lecturer, or president! Who knows tomorrow. No course is bad if you accept it, do it with all you mind right from 100level.

alwaysvik: Hey guys, name's Victor Nzemeke. 500 level elect engine, unilorin. I've been following the posts on this thread with keen interest coz i've got a brother who also applied for admission.
Its amazing how much wrong info people carelessly broadcast, i wish they'd be more civil and check out facts and sources before telling. Well, as for the list no one, not even uninformed lecturers, can tell precisely when its coming out for sure, its all up to the admission office and the senate.
My advice to you guys is to keep your minds engaged with some productive stuff. Worrying doesn't improve your chances, so just be patient and have as much fun as you can between now and when the list would be out. Either way it goes, its not the end of life. Goodluck guys.

I dont count rooms man!
There is just one compound for the boys the facilities are all right, light is like 18hrs a day, water is 24/7. Clean environment. Also have a common room where you relax and watch tv. It worth it any way

some rooms take 4 some 6, and others 8 people the hostel fee is fixed (the size of the room determine the number of occupant)

but i remember they reserved some space for freshers last year but it was still first come first serve

visit the portal from time to time as if you are going to toilet because they may open the hostel application any time and may some time last for 30mins b/4 den close am back,
one bed space last session was 28000 so lets expect something like that this session too

I personaly will advise you try hard to get hostel accomodation because transport na waya o both going and coming especialy on mondays ask from other unilorites then go tell you u go fear.

let me just say, it is a school slang code used for expelled student!
(when one face tanke it means you are going home, because Tanke is the first town you see while leaving the university)
Laws and order is strict in the school one need to be very carefull not to be expelled. There is also dress code no lady is allow to dress seductively, no sagging, no dreadlock, and many others and if any student is caught doing so he/she is expelled "faces tanke" no alternative, they will tell him/her go and write jamb if you still what to come back.
But generaly for serious minded student who whats to excel the school is the best you will love to go.
And our school is cult free they have all faced tanke. I pray you will be admitted and feel this great universty yourself.

I notice most of d pple followin this thread are 2nd list awaiters, but because they hav not yet being admitted they hav little or nothing to say they only view d thread and are speechless, dont worry keep prayin, i pray and believe in Jesus name that we shall all make it. I want all to prepare his or her documents so that you wount rush, my faith is unquestionablely strong that my admission is sure this year. & I will praise the Lord at the end of it all. Few of this thread follower hav gain admission more will soon hit limelight with the 2nd list and we shall all take over this thread. Amen!
