reechest: The way people talk of something they are not sure of on nairaland is mind-blowing.. We have mainly 2 types of oxygen concentrators: 1. The portable oxygen concentrator which uses electricity, the merit of this type is that is cheap and affordable @ first but the cost of maintainance is expensive because of high electricity bill and this type does not give 100% oxygen. Its mostly used especially for paediatrics patients.
2.Manual Gas cylinders or gas tanks: this typ is like d one used by welders.. The only difference is dat it contains medical oxygen.. The initial cost of obtaining it is expensive but its maintainance is cheep.. It gives u 90% oxygen..
So yes we have electrically controlled oxygen storage equipments. She is right.. Lemme kno if u need pictures. The 2nd one U described is not called a 'concentrator'. |

Only critically ill patients are placed on oxygen and anything can happen anytime wt such patients. 2ndly,wahala don gas now, everybody is rushing to blame d doctor forgetting there is division of labour in every hosp and it's probably not d doc's duty to monitor oxygen use by d patient but is d work of the nurses who u all join to antagonise doctors. Finally, given d resources, renumeration and equipment made available to d Nigerian doctor, they are practically miracle workers,U ppl shld ask Urselves y d Nigerian doctor seems to thrive and flourish once he travels to Europe, America etc to practice. |

DeRay98: Who would be surprised when the Nigerian Medical Association has become a political body oppressing other health care professions rather than press for quality medical education and hospital and health care excellence. When the best medical experts have been frustrated out by influential(politically connected) mediocres physicians. Why is hospitals and health care in such a disarray? When All Health commissioners in all states are medical doctors, When all Health advisory committees to all govt at every level is almost if all medical doctors All ministers of health are medical doctors. If a system is failing when only one set of professionals are in charge at all levels, wether administative or o5herwise, we should ask why? It has become an issue dominance rather than team work that health care systems are meant to be. It's now a matter who gets the money.... JOHESU alert. |

Are U talking of Sanusi Lamido who was using CBN money to charter private jets to go and sleep wt married Maryam Yaro in Lagos or Ribadu that labelled everyone opposed to OBJ as corrupt and those who supported his 3rd term ambition saints and was being used by OBJ to force minority law makers to impeach governors who opposed OBJ's 3rd term. That ride is one of d strongest cars ever produced. The shock absorbers seem to be a default in design and get bad easily if U ply bad roads often and also d bottom plate is aluminium which makes it susceptible to damage if it hits a hard surface, apart from that, the ride is cool and merciful on fuel too. Parts are cheap,Tokunbo engine wt gearbox for d 1.6 litre engine wc I used is just about 65k and also,d car is one of d few cars U can abuse and get away with it.I once drove from Abakaliki in Ebonyi State to Jos and from there to Damaturu in Yobe state d following day not knowing that it was only d smaller fan that was working. Also, once when I changed d bottom plate,d mechanic added too much gasket gum and it blocked d 'mouth' of d oil pump and I started hearing a slight knocking sound coupled wt d oil indicator light flashing on d dashboard but I called my original mechanic who said we should just removed d bottom plate and drain d oil and apply a little gasket gum and I did that started d car and d knocking sound disappeared and I drove d car from Biu in Borno State to d east and d same engine is still in d car and functioning perfectly 3 yrs later. Till today,I regret giving mine out to my younger bro. |

If the person is found to be corrupt, why not FG appoint a new management for the hospital to keep workers job intact and the profit from the hospital remitted to FG account. We need to seek better ways of fighting this corruption. 0 The fed govt and EFCC are headed by 2 dullards from Daura, they can never remember such. Mcayofficial: Please help me fellow nairalanders I'm in a confused state of mind as I type this,I and my fiancee are planning to get married soon this year God willing,I'm presently out of the country, while my wife to be is in Nigeria,we really don't wanna exceed 200invitees in attendance on our wedding day,but here are some limitations to this:
1. My wife to be is a worker in a big church, where she's an active one 2. Her family members might not support this,as they tend to love parties from their end 3. I'm planning on taking her along with me to the country where I'm based presently,so as to settle down there, all these will gulp cash, and we are trying to be very conservative with our spendings as well
Please we need your matured advice as on how to go about this, our plans include church wedding, introduction, engagement and reception in a day...Thank you Take d wedding to a far place, like Maidugri Thank me later. |
