Yes, I have. It happened to Icell-power inverter. I installed it and did earthing, only for the client to call an electrician who worked on the system after 4years, since I couldn't get to him in about a week. He bypass the earthing I did, the first rain of that year knocked the inverter out. This was an installation of 4 years old.

Please is the icell stand alone?

The cells are Poche cells, I strongly believe they are Li-ion/polymer not lifepo4. Some of the cells are probably bad.

Definitely some are bad but looking at them in packs won't repair them. He needs to dismantle them and reconfigure.

It may not be entirely true, but it's the truth.

SPDs aid in mitigating excess surges, and where will the surges go to if no earthing was done?

Even if na 4ft or 6ft earth rod with 2.5mm wire linked to earth bus bar, damage will surely be reduced!
To a very large extent you are correct. However, I have NEVER experienced it.

A system without earthing & SPD, is already a failed system!

Baba not entirely true sir.
What defines a failed system is way above this

This is as far as I can go as I do not want to break the seal he wrapped around the battery because if I do then it will be obvious I opened it.

Feel it with your hands for a description.
Rectangular or cylindrical?
Partia or longl continuity.

I need a setup with 12v 200Ah batteries. How many cells will I need, and what other items will I need to acquire? I would appreciate it if someone could guide me through this process.
Do actually know what you are asking?
You need roughly 300 cells. If you haven't built just 3 cells in series before, run!!!

It is not lead acid sir….Attached picture of when I loose it out to see what’s really inside

Probably cylindrical LifePO4.
Feel the wraps to confirm.
Assuming the above was correct, some cells are dead and would need reconfiguration, proper charging and balancing.

Now that dollars don fall, how much?
Does it charge with solar panels? What ratings and how long does it take to fully charge?
How long can it power 32inches tv?
.

Reconsidering keeping it for myself bro.
Too beautiful to release. Energy don cost again now.

Evening bro, what solar solution would you recommed/adopt for a BQ or one bedroom in todays current dispensation (economy wise and market availability)?

hp notebook - 45W
akt lightbulb - 2 nos @ 5W
smartphone charging - 2 nos @ 10W
ox fan - 80W

total load: 155W
Also, laptop & led bulb takes most priority and needs to be able to last at least about 6hrs at night.

How long does your battery last after a single charge? I would have sold my set up to but I stopped to advertise because I fell in love with what I built. I can move with it. grin grin grin

Thank you for your response. So the 60A charge controller is too small for the 6x 180w panels?

Not the 60A, but the capacity of a 12v system.
Almost all charger controllers at 12v(one battery) of any amp of charger controller CANNOT DO ABOVE 700w. Your total wattage from the panels exceed what the cc can take. You are feeding the cc with 1080w (6×180w) instead of max of 700w. Check the label at the back of the cc as the info is there.

please help. Someone installed this mppt charge controller for my mum and it has burnt twice at this same point (where wires from the solar panels connect to the charge controller).
Happened first time, he replaced it and it happened again. He was about collecting money from her to buy another one again but this time she reached out to me.

It’s a 12v 1kw inverter system with 6x 180w solar panels and 200ah battery. She uses it at her store for a small fridge, a desktop computer and fan.

Is this a problem with the power from the solar panels being too much? Or the charge controller is thrash?

Please help. Any insight appreciated.
6×180 is 1080w which is beyond your charger controller. It shouldn't go beyond 700w or less.

Good morning gurus, ewizard1 dollarnaira and others.
Please I have a question in regards to this DIY lithium battery, I watched a video on YouTube whereby a 12v 60ah 3s BMW was used for a 1kw battery size.
My question now is, I thought battery sizes determines the required bms for it, e.g a 100ah battery requires a 100AH bms?

No oooooo

Not always Mosfet... could be the oscillating driver circuit is fried, and most technicians don't bother much with that.

If it has visited several technicians and still didn't work, then it's past Mosfet issue.

True to this

It's gone.
To get the SMD ics and all that stuff is not worth the stress.
It's even cheaper to replace it undecided

With the right mosfets replaced,it will work

Your powmr is far far far better than the pwm paired along. You do not need the pwm sir.

Please I need help.

I have 300 (3) and 250 (1) solar panels
100 lead acid battery (2)
Inverter 3000w sachet

Because of my 12v, so the the installer add another pwm cc to the existing powr mppt because he said the mppt could only take 3 panels.

During the day, i still don't have sufficient energy to power 120w freezer and two ceiling fans with 2 tv

Some of you still see simple connection like this as rocket science. If you were the one that did this it would still be better. Did I hear you say installer?

YOUR INSTALLER NEEDS 40 STROKES LESS 1

Sir, are you saying.thos is the price of 105ah LifePO4 battery? 280k? Truthfully?

Yes o
If tubular cost same amount with 50% DOD it is 110ah. Why then should I do otherwise?

The advice had been given before. Go for LifePO4 bro as you don't need pampering.
Lead acid should not be granted such amount of money. Spend wisely.

Good morning, I want to get batteries for a 2.5kva or 1.5kva hybrid inverter. I just noticed that two 220ah batteries give a total of 440ah at 594k while four 150ah batteries gives a total of 600ah at 580k. By my local man logic, the 150ah option seems better to me cus I get about 160ah more battery capacity. Pls, those who are experts, is this my logic correct and can I go for this 150ah option?

I keep shaking my head upon your decision.
580k bros as in 580k for this period ooo.

No modern inverter should behave this way, it only just stop supplying. Turn off / on business continues.
