Let me start with how to check fake customs paper,on the custom paper given to u when u purchase ur vehicle,there something we call C-number it is written at the top right corner of ur FACE of ENTRY.the c-number is what is used to confirm if ur custom paper is genuine or not. On the topic,the 1st thing you do is to avoid ur vehicle from being seized before u get ur paper so that ur penalty won't be much. To get a custom paper after purchase,try and get a friend that is into clearing and forwarding or a custom officer friend or u go through it urself by going to the F.O.U (federal operation unit) office in ikeja,make sure u write along ur chasis number,vin number,the year of ur vehicle. With that custom will give u value of he vehicle and work out the duty u r to pay.after payment they confirm ur payment by taking it back to them for finishing process,then u have ur genuine paper with u.
