Am so agitated inside me that I do not know how to put this and I need urgent clarifications.

I want to import some goods into the country, went through soncap website and downloaded the list of exempted products. part of my goods are on the exempted while part are not so I applied to soncap for the "not exempted" product and was made to pay 100K for a product not up to $50,000.

On getting to bank for form M processing with a copy of the exempted list where my goods fall into, am made to understand that I require exemption permit from soncap and now son is telling me to go pay almost half a million naira for this same product. Am dumbfounded as I am writing this, the issue of duty, vat and other payments during clearing are not yet included in this whole deal and am wondering if this is the correct thing to do or not.

What exactly is soncap supposed to do? Is their standard just in that money they are getting? Why have exempted products list and yet payment is required again?

Please anybody who happens to know how this works should kindly advise me asap.

Funny, am facing similar challenges, trying to bring an agricultural material for personal use.

As an excuse for why she should not be called to bar with hijab many people have brought up the position of Christians wearing religious clothing or traditional people wearing masks when called to bar. I diasgree with them it is not equivalent.

In a controversy such as this there is no law forbiding use of hijab, choir robe, cult mask or any other wearable item to attend dinner or go into bar but it would be a ridiculous situation if permitted. If someone shows up wearing a non-conventional item they should be put through a "live test".

In order to have a better society, public opinion should weigh in after applying Live Test to each of the possible scenarios.

Is hijab a part of daily garment for Amasa? When she was in UNILORIN was it part of her garments to lecture rooms? If she passes this Live Test public opinion says Yes, hijab will continue as part of her garments when called to bar.

Does the christian wear a choir robe everyday and everywhere they go? If it passes the Live Test public opinion should hold in their favour.

Does the traditionist wear his mask everyday, everywhere, including lecture room and at dinner table? If it passes the Live Test, then public opinion is on their side.

Using this simple rule will help filter out ridiculous claims and rest this matter.

Once u hv a chance to swing or gently turn your hand carrying d (3T or 80T) cutter, it will open a path for u into d bush.

As I said, one needs to know how to use it to appreciate it effectiveness.

My concern here are the trees and shrubs around that will serve as obstacles and regularly colliding with the machine. Except you farm is properly cleared without the traces of shrubs and remains of trees

I am thinking of using it to clear Akintola size weed using 3T blade and probably attach a circular saw blade for opening of virgin forest. I even see some video where they attach circular saw and used in cutting tree.

If your Akintola land mass to be cleared is like a plot of land you can go ahead but if you are talking about acres please employ the service of tree cutter with bigger chain saw.

Also the 80T Blade attachment are for Shrubs and smaller trees of like 10cm in radius. @saliubello said, don't put unrealistic expectations on this machines.

On the use of the 3T to clear the bush part, again I mentioned earlier that this things are more effective in a previously bulldozed land otherwise it is time and fuel consuming because you have lots of trees and shrubs to contend with. You need about 140 to 180 degree swing on a spot but with our mode of clearing I doubt if that will be possible.

Okay, from experience most of the blades 3T, 30T, etc are not meant for weeding they are expected to be use for bushy area. 3T Blade is more suitable for clearing grass.
I also realized that the usage of this machine is more suitable for a farmland that was bulldoze. Our method of clearing endangers the usage of the machine, colliding with left over trees and thick srubs sending shock to the engine which can easily damage the machine.

If the purpose is for weeding I will advise you only to get more of the Autocut head (the one with 3m rope) and note that they are not meant for thick grass or will not perform well with thick and bushy grass, so You need to Weed at early stage. And if going to use on veggies farm ensure you have enough spacing in planting and with careful maneuvering.

My verdict and BASED ON MY OWN UNDERSTANDING, this machines are meant for weeding but not weeding of a producing farmland.

Check YouTube videos, am not sure you will see them been used on a currently producing farm. The rope type head are mostly use for lawn and other heads are for Bush and cutting trees.

Have not tried the rolling cylindrical head (don't no the name), so I don't have any usage experience.

why not.. the borehole will serve you the water and you need a sprinkler( that will automatically sprinkle the water ) to do the job for you..the soil must be moist with this method...

I believe a drip irrigation will be most efficient and and effective if the source of water will be borehole

Op, pls just plan very well. Internet will tell you that it is profitable but nobody will tell you where to sell. Nobody has ever talk about middle men or interface that can buy and sell to industries.

Or you target are market women that will buy 10 today and 5 next month. Do your work permit you to be sourcing for the market women to buy and you want to ho into it as full time job?
I have plantain farm as well outside my state of work and l am yet to harvest. I have spent a lot of my savings on it . When l asked the guy that introduced me to the business where to sell, he started saying 'iya Ganiya and Baba Sukura will buy on market day we are just watching ourself in 3D at the moment.

This is the major aspect people are not looking into. A lot of people went into plantain farming last year and buying the sucker at high prices, also viewing in 3D on what is going to happen to the market this year.

My token, please do not go into farming without a source of water, not talking about stream that will dry up abeg.
