The Saudi Ministry of Justice on Tuesday announced the prohibition of the marriage of persons under 18 years.

It has also set 18 years as the minimum age for marriage, the Saudi Gazette is reporting.

The Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Sheikh Walid Al-Samaani, issued the new directive in a circular sent to all the courts in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Before now, child marriages are commonplace in Saudi Arabia with one in seven girls marrying before the age of 18. But, Saudi Arabia’s justice minister is changing things up.

In the circular released on Tuesday, the minister directed that marriage requests are to be referred to the specialised court to complete the formalities in line with the Child Protection Law and while implementing the established regulations.

Mr Al-Samaani’s directives are based on paragraph (16/3) of the executive regulations of the Child Protection Law, which says “before conducting marriage contracts one has to make sure that marrying a person under the age of 18 will not harm him or her and achieve their best interests, male or female.”

This is not the first time the Saudi authorities would move to curtail and regulate underage marriages in the country.

In January, the country approved regulations that prohibit marriage for children under 15 years of age. The ban followed a ruling by the kingdom’s Shura Council, which saw two-thirds of the advisory body vote in favour, according to Arab News.

But the new regulations had a few loopholes. It allowed for teens under the age of 18 to tie the knot, if granted approval from a specialised court. Tuesday’s ruling has, however, put a full stop to the marriage of persons under 18 years with clear cut penalties for defaulters.

Love to know the name of the phone but not all phone with WhatsApp function are Android

Am looking for a mini keypad phone but run on Android Operating system. Talking of phones similar to the old style 3310 and the likes with just 2 to 3 inch screen.

Reason for the Android is that I want to be able to synchronized my contacts through google contact With the other smart phone.

Just need something small and very potable

Interesting, can't believe am just seeing this in 2019.

Presently in te same situation i intend to buy a SERVO stabilizer, like 5KVA to power my entire house. I don't to do unnecessary manupalation of the wiring system because of the way my rented aparted wiring is configured. It makes the installation easier if the stabilizer will not have any effect on my petrom generator (2.kKVA and 1.2KVA)

will need to get a meter to know how much load the Servo stabilizer will be drawing itself.

Drop the tank n do thorough washing . Change the fuel pump complete if it's bad

I don't think he need to change the fuel pump. let him just wash the fuel tank and change or wash the fuel filter attached to the fuel pump assembly

The price of data is fair to a large extend however my concern is if I can download movies to watch later. If it not possible then neflix may not compete favourably with other providers in Nigeria. Even though data price is fair, some gsm operators have issues with quick exhaustion of data before expiry date. I rather opt in for others that allows download than streaming

There's several options like showbox and movies hd but you can't find em on playstore. Which are good without any subscription.

Even Netflix subscription is not that much compare with what you get on DStv.
