Shorthand is totally unnecessary in the world of today

I was researching on programs for secretariat studies when I bumped into Nigeria Institute of professional secretary (NIPS) and women secretary of Nigeria (CIWSON).
Going through their syllabus and the shorthand course caught my attention and I kind of wonder if shorthand is still relevant with all the model way of taking note including voice recording.

Is it that our institution are still behind or is shorthand still relevant in this modern world.

The parcel will be delivered to the nearest NIPOST office. You will need to follow up closely before you start hearing story.
By today and tomorrow you need to visit the NIPOST office, they don't usually update their site on package status on time.
You can also call the customer care numbers you see on their site.
Please don't dull your self, the package is already in Nigeria

Engineers in the house I need help.

Due to faulty screen, I went to Lenovo office in Computer village in ikeja to have the screen replaced. I was told that the phone is a new model that the screen is not available {imagine}
I eventually result to those guys on the street but after replacing the screen, the screen start malfunctioning,

Sometimes it works well most times you try to slide but it launches the app and a whole lots of other screen touch malfunctioning.

What I don't know this is as a result of wrong coupling or bad screen replacement
