Na serious wa, PDP is now opposition party or what. So they need only six weeks now to deal with Boko Haram, how many times have they extend the State Of Emergency in those trouble area for six months, so they think three weeks we do to clear those idiot call boko haram
Originalsly: USPS always charge less than any of the other carriers. Sellers do add more than they are supposed to...in your case I guess way more. Plus they probably sent it 4th class instead of First Class/priority which is not as cheap but much faster and has better tracking. Just be patient
I think you might be right about the seller adding additional amount, on the USPS site my parcel is listed as "Priority Mail International" using the tracking number provided. Using their online calculator to calculate the cost of shipping to Nigeria with International Priority Mail should have cost $61 instead of the $94 paid.
Their Priority Mail Express with insurance cover to Nigeria would cost $84 and take lesser days.
Now day three done after the package show on trackitonline.ru that the package is in Nigeria, information provided by Nipost but am yet to receive any information from them and tracking number not displaying any information on there site. Really getting worried and scared now,
I can a number to day and the man said there is no light (power) to confirm that I should call back and ask for my tracking number, Hours later he didn't pick up the call again.

Thanks man, will be patient, the trackitonline.ru shows that the package is in Nigeria and I assume the update always come late, may be the package is with NIPOST all this while self.
Mynd44: Your package has crossed into Nigeria and is in the hands of NIPOST (or about to be) track on NIPOST's and track it from there
On Nipost site, no information comes out when I enter the tracking number, the page will just load and stop. Will be patient hope I get a sms from them as they said.
Originalsly: Did you try finding out how much it would have cost vIa Fedex/UPS/DHL? USPS mail is and would always be delivered by Nipost as long as Nipost is a federal agency....and vice versa. On the contrary.... if you pay through your nose and post a parcel via Fedex, UPS or DHL.....it is very likely that USPS would be delivering it. Read more...learn more. Don't worry much...like they said...by this week you shouldr eceive or get an update
I have been buying things from ebay and amazon but non of the previous buyer ever ship to Nigeria through USPS before and the highest have paid was $57 and ship through DHL or UPS. The only time amazon ship through USPS was when the package was to be delivered in US. I even thought USPS will be better because they charged higher except the seller has added is own.
As you said, I will be patient but what is inside the package is very essential.
This is getting interesting, My own tracking code is CX*********US, can anyone tell me the reliability of code starting with "CX", the person that send the parcel paid $94 about N18,000 to USPS and that to me is not cheap. I thought USPS is on the same level with UPS, DHL and the likes until I saw this thread through google.
The package was sent on 20th-Dec-2014 and more than 10 days now, tracking on USPS site says parcel is on its way to the destination. I was able to call NIPOST (thanks to Mynd44) and I was told to call this week for follow, am really getting scared with all sort of revelation have heard on this thread, how I wish I saw this thread earlier, USPS partner with the wrong company.
agabusta: Soludo's self serving article on Economic management is deficit in facts, logic & honor - Okonjo-Iweala 6. In fact, the banking sector was brought to its knees and required a massive bailout by Nigerian tax payers. This bailout was done by his successor (now Emir of Kano) who cleaned up all the bad debts and transferred them to the newly-established AMCON, from where they are managed today. So let it be noted for the record books that Soludo’s single-handed mismanagement of the banking sector led to an incredible accumulation of liabilities that will cost tax payers about N5.67 trillion (being the total face value of AMCON-issued bonds) to clean up. Let it be noted also that this amount, which is more than the entire Federal Government 2015 Budget, constitutes the bulk of Nigeria’s “contingent liabilities” mentioned in Soludo’s article. It is only in Nigeria where someone who perpetrated such a colossal economic atrocity would have the temerity to make assertions on public debt and the management of the economy.
And what happen to Sanusi at the end of the day, your oga chase him off
agabusta: Soludo's self serving article on Economic management is deficit in facts, logic & honor - Okonjo-Iweala 7. Let us now look at some of the points he makes. Luckily, Soludo has told us that he has been busy travelling internationally, hobnobbing with his global partners. It is obvious from this article that from the rarefied heights at which he is flying he is completely out of touch with what is happening with the management of this economy. Take his comments on the mismanagement of the economy and the imposition of the austerity measures. The present fall in oil prices, a global phenomenon over which Nigeria has no control, has given every charlatan the opportunity to attack the economy, and by extension the managers of the economy
You and your administration had a chance when the oil was booming at high price but PDP squander the money and loot our reserve, Sanusi blow whistle you send him packing
agabusta: Soludo's self serving article on Economic management is deficit in facts, logic & honor - Okonjo-Iweala 8. It is true that the economy grew well during the second-term of former President Obasanjo as a result of the reforms supported by the President and implemented by the Economic Management Team. Please note that the Finance Minister under whose leadership that good performance took place, including massive unprecedented debt relief, is still Finance Minister today. But thorough examination of the facts on performance under the Jonathan Administration will also reveal that at a time when global economic performance was mediocre, with GDP growth averaging about 3 percent per annum, Nigeria’s GDP growth – averaging about 6 percent per annum – is indeed remarkable. Even more interesting is the fact that the oil sector did not drive this economic performance but the non-oil sector (Agriculture, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, the Creative Economy, and so on), which shows that the current Administration’s diversification objective under the Transformation Agenda is working. Transformation equals diversification
If the bolded part are true how come with the drop in price of crude lead to so many out cry, sudden austerity measures with out debating and Nigeria consultation, sudden Naira devaluation, if this is true and the rating is truly based on non oil sector why is our Naira devaluated so much in a short period. The breeze done blow we don see fowl yansh. Ngozi you are a liar
agabusta: Soludo's self serving article on Economic management is deficit in facts, logic & honor - Okonjo-Iweala 10. In fact, history will recall that careless remarks by Prof. Soludo (then Chief Economic Adviser to the President) hypothesizing a possible naira devaluation, condemned the naira to a free fall towards the end of 2003. Ray Echebiri, in his 2004 article in the Financial Standard, wrote that not even the assurances given by the then CBN Governor, Mr. Joseph Sanusi or President Obasanjo that any plans to devalue the naira existed only in the head of Professor Soludo could halt the fall of the naira from N128 to the dollar in the official market to about N140 between September and December 2003.
So OBJ get sense not to have listen to Soludo then but what about to your present Presido, you were able to successfully trick him to devalue Naira overnight and how much is the exchange rate now?
agabusta: Soludo's self serving article on Economic management is deficit in facts, logic & honor - Okonjo-Iweala 11. It is true that our foreign reserve accumulation is less than what it should be but the reason for this has been fully given, not as excuses but simply as fact: lower oil production and crude oil theft along with the refusal to save in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) are the reasons. Contrary to what Soludo said, oil production under President Obasanjo was higher than current levels. Quantities produced averaged 2.4 million bdp, 2.22 million bpd, and 2.21 million bpd in 2005, 2006, and 2007 respectively but has declined now to between 1.95 and 2.21 million bdp due to vandalism of the pipelines and the resulting “shut-ins” to fix the problem. It is true that had production been at the previous levels and had there been willingness to save we would have had more money in the ECA and also in the reserves. But the overriding setback to savings is that the State Governors felt it was their constitutional right to share the money. Please recall that even as we speak the States have taken the Federal Government to the Supreme Court on this issue
So OBJ was able to block loop holes and protect the pipeline without amnesty but the highest budget has been going to the Military since Oga Jonathan arrived but yet pipeline vandalism continues and even made militant to secure the water ways.
Overall, I think the intelligence of NOI has been over hype, it seems obvious that she was hiding under the economic team form by OBJ lead government then.
If only PDP stop pushing all the irrelevant allegation on APC and focus on main issue that is bothering the country, APC has been busy defending several false allegations labeled on them by the opposition party.
This is a nice write up, in fact a great one, but I wish Soludo is not sitting on the fence at least so far we know those that try to campaign on issue base and has a manifesto similar to what he outline
How can Nigerians be so gullible and stupid (no apology)...unwise I mean? State governors misappropriate all your money, the security votes inclusive, they fail to do even the basic things you gave them mandate to do, now they blame the federal government for their inadequacies while asking you, in fact considering you as a big fool to vote again for them. I often hear "they are trying" na dem money...? What happened to all the funds they received and all the levies and double taxes you were made to pay...? All the local government funds meant for the grassroot... Where are they...? How many of them proffered solution to the national problems facing us... it's only to accuse and blame...! You applaude them in your folly and they celebrate your gullibilty with your gift of hatred for the centre...so far away from you. The funds never ceased to come from the centre... Or did it? You think you are loved by them. Love does not exist for them... Even their friends know this and are bound with a vow. Open your eyes, let your mind and your head begin to think again.... You are only a fool when you prove it to them that think you so. Nigeria are supposed to be very smart and intelligent people... Please be one...!
Mynd44: Just track and from there you can decide. It is still early. Probably still in transit
I entered the tracking number CX*********US sent to me on the Nipost site you posted and no response. Page remain the same. No message display at all.
I guess am to use the international Items Track not the domestic items track. May be still on transit as you said, will be patient till Tuesday or Wednesday. Am just somehow scared based on what I have read so far on this thread. The item coming is very important and can't afford it to miss on transit.
That is NIPOST. If they can't find it, it is either still in the US or passing through sorting. It is just Tuesday na. It normally takes 10 working days.
Thanks for the fast response, will track it and is there any number I can call for update
God will help me, how come I never see this thread before, I bought something from ebay.com and the seller sent the package through USPS. Since Tuesday 20th of January. The tracking information on USPS website shows that the package is still in US as at now, from what I have read so far on this thread, the package might as well be in Nigeria.
