I think you might be right about the seller adding additional amount, on the USPS site my parcel is listed as "Priority Mail International" using the tracking number provided. Using their online calculator to calculate the cost of shipping to Nigeria with International Priority Mail should have cost $61 instead of the $94 paid.

Their Priority Mail Express with insurance cover to Nigeria would cost $84 and take lesser days.

Now day three done after the package show on trackitonline.ru that the package is in Nigeria, information provided by Nipost but am yet to receive any information from them and tracking number not displaying any information on there site. Really getting worried and scared now,

I can a number to day and the man said there is no light (power) to confirm that I should call back and ask for my tracking number, Hours later he didn't pick up the call again.

Thanks man, will be patient, the trackitonline.ru shows that the package is in Nigeria and I assume the update always come late, may be the package is with NIPOST all this while self.

On Nipost site, no information comes out when I enter the tracking number, the page will just load and stop. Will be patient hope I get a sms from them as they said.

Did you try finding out how much it would have cost vIa Fedex/UPS/DHL? USPS mail is and would always be delivered by Nipost as long as Nipost is a federal agency....and vice versa. On the contrary.... if you pay through your nose and post a parcel via Fedex, UPS or DHL.....it is very likely that USPS would be delivering it. Read more...learn more. I have been buying things from ebay and amazon but non of the previous buyer ever ship to Nigeria through USPS before and the highest have paid was $57 and ship through DHL or UPS. The only time amazon ship through USPS was when the package was to be delivered in US. I even thought USPS will be better because they charged higher except the seller has added is own.

As you said, I will be patient but what is inside the package is very essential.

This is getting interesting, My own tracking code is CX*********US, can anyone tell me the reliability of code starting with "CX", the person that send the parcel paid $94 about N18,000 to USPS and that to me is not cheap. I thought USPS is on the same level with UPS, DHL and the likes until I saw this thread through google.

The package was sent on 20th-Dec-2014 and more than 10 days now, tracking on USPS site says parcel is on its way to the destination.
I was able to call NIPOST (thanks to Mynd44) and I was told to call this week for follow, am really getting scared with all sort of revelation have heard on this thread, how I wish I saw this thread earlier, USPS partner with the wrong company.

Ray Echebiri, in his 2004 article in the Financial Standard, wrote that not even the assurances given by the then CBN Governor, Mr. Joseph Sanusi or President Obasanjo that any plans to devalue the naira existed only in the head of Professor Soludo could halt the fall of the naira from N128 to the dollar in the official market to about N140 between September and December 2003.

It is true that our foreign reserve accumulation is less than what it should be but the reason for this has been fully given, not as excuses but simply as fact: lower oil production and crude oil theft along with the refusal to save in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) are the reasons. Contrary to what Soludo said, oil production under President Obasanjo was higher than current levels. Quantities produced averaged 2.4 million bdp, 2.22 million bpd, and 2.21 million bpd in 2005, 2006, and 2007 respectively but has declined now to between 1.95 and 2.21 million bdp due to vandalism of the pipelines and the resulting “shut-ins” to fix the problem. It is true that had production been at the previous levels and had there been willingness to save we would have had more money in the ECA and also in the reserves. But the overriding setback to savings is that the State Governors felt it was their constitutional right to share the money. Please recall that even as we speak the States have taken the Federal Government to the Supreme Court on this issue

So OBJ was able to block loop holes and protect the pipeline without amnesty but the highest budget has been going to the Military since Oga Jonathan arrived but yet pipeline vandalism continues and even made militant to secure the water ways.


Overall, I think the intelligence of NOI has been over hype, it seems obvious that she was hiding under the economic team form by OBJ lead government then.

I entered the tracking number CX*********US sent to me on the Nipost site you posted and no response. Page remain the same. No message display at all.

I guess am to use the international Items Track not the domestic items track. May be still on transit as you said, will be patient till Tuesday or Wednesday. Am just somehow scared based on what I have read so far on this thread. The item coming is very important and can't afford it to miss on transit.

That is NIPOST. If they can't find it, it is either still in the US or passing through sorting. It is just Tuesday na. It normally takes 10 working days.

God will help me, how come I never see this thread before, I bought something from ebay.com and the seller sent the package through USPS. Since Tuesday 20th of January. The tracking information on USPS website shows that the package is still in US as at now, from what I have read so far on this thread, the package might as well be in Nigeria.
