Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has won his appeal against the red card he received in Sunday's 2-0 loss to Liverpool and will not serve any ban. Lampard was dismissed in the second half for a challenge on Xabi Alonso. Team-mate Jose Bosingwa will not face any action for stamping on the back of Yossi Benayoun in the same match. The Portuguese was not punished at the time and because the assistant referee admitted seeing it, the Football Association cannot review the incident. |
my brthers upon all d problems wa full Nija, the country still better pass most of these countries wa some people dey say e develop pass Nija. i would rather remain in Nigeria than live in any of these countries mentioned here. |

All hail Ronaldo for being the world footballer of the year, despite being shadow of the Ronaldo that scored 42 goals last season, though 16 of which were from the spot. His reign is not much celebrated as Messi is far more celebrated than Ronaldo. Kaka is more of a role model to the youths than CR. I wish him well in his reign sha |
Well, Martins we soccer fans all feel and share your grief and may God in his infinite mercy grant ur mum eternal rest. Amen |
Chioma deserves more than she got from Nigeria being the first and only Nigerian athlete to have won an individual gold medal at the olympics. Nigeria does not encourage her athletes to committ their future to the country, a reason why the country will continue to lose its olympic hopefuls to Eureapean and some smaller African countries like Liberia. How else would you described a situation where sports administrators drag over grants released by sports commission for the payment of athletes who particpated in various meetings to enable them qualify to represent the country at the olympics? |
There's no big deal sending a thank you note after an interview as stated by many on this forum. However, most employees in Nigeria in particular will feel its a way of lobbying for the job. Therefore, i am of the opinion that job seeker's especially from this part of the world remain mute until results of interviews are released, then, they can send a thank you note. |
My bros and sis dem, we wish u all goodluck and we pray say make wetin happen last year no repeat this time around |
Queenisha, who told u the woman is from the east? may her soul rest in peace. |
I think its very important to place our priorities in the right place. What difference would it had made if either Kanu or any other Nigerian player was made to commission the street soccer project? At least it would have cost us less considering the fact that they were and still in Nigeria during the commissioning. indeed bringing Ferdinand was a waste of public fund. |
why blame us when your instruction wosen't clear. At least God instructed Adam and Eve not to eat the forbidden fruit and they knew it was directed at them. But in our case, you only said dont click, were you instructing the computer or we users? |
I seems to agree with Chika, he could still be cheating on you |

The return of a former Nigeria Super Eagle's skipper, Austine Jay Jay Okocha, to English football has yielded positive result as his contribution during the season helped his championship club, Hull City, sealed promotion to the premiership for the first time in its 104 years of existance. Though the former Bolton wonderes skipper did not feature in the play off at wembly, his spectacular performance during the season shoot Hull city to finished third on the championship table before eventually picking the play off ticket after defeating watford 6-1 on aggregate. However, it was Dean Windass 38th minute goal that sealed the premiership ticket against Bristol City on saturday. |
