I always Love Psalm. 90
The prayer of Moses the man of God. A touching psalm that was penned upon occasion of the sentence passed upon Israel in the wilderness for their unbelief, murmuring, and rebellion, that their carcases should fall in the wilderness, that they should be wasted away by a series of miseries for thirty-eight years together, and that none of them that were then of age should enter Canaan. |

foolinlove: It was once classified as a mental illness, but that was removed because there wasn't sufficient evidence to prove it is a mental illness.
Science works on the basis of proving a hypothesis. If the hypothesis is not proven, it does not mean the hypothesis has failed.
Example: scientists cannot prove definitively there is life in outer space. However, that doesn't mean there is no life in outer space. There have been several positive indications that life does exist in outer space, so people continue their research.
If you claim a hypothesis, you have the onus to prove it. All experiments done that hypothesise homosexuality is a mental illness have failed to prove the hypothesis. There has been no positive indication it *is* a mental illness. So research has stopped in all respected scientific communities.
There has been significant research that predominantly suggests homosexuality is a genetic trait. I can explain that more if you'd like.
I'm sure you already know the definition of mental illness. An illness of the mind that causes an inability to function normally.
Homosexuals function normally, their homosexuality does not inherently affect their human function. What does affect homosexuals is society - and those societal expectations can cause homosexual people to develop mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety.
It's really sad. My heart goes out to anyone suffering because of this. You are normal! Just different. Like everyone else. I must say I am impressed. If I were a pervert, I would have jerked-off on this post. I once knew a lady who had this sort of aura. She frequently indulged in delighting the senses as well as exciting intellectual and emotional admiration. I just hope that you are not her because she eventually broke my heart. |

foolinlove: Much love to you @iamdurent
I hope you're able to escape the homophobia you live with daily. Its isn't right.
I am Christian, but I don't think homosexuality is wrong. What I think is so wrong is that the government punishes such a natural thing - it's akin to throwing all people with blue eyes in prison.
You seem like a kind soul, and I wish you all the love and luck in the world. Hello dear, I don't mean to be devoid of empathy but homosexuality in my own opinion is not really tantamount to being blue eyed What if homosexuality is a mental illness? I hope you know that it has not been scientifically proven that homosexuality is not a mental illness. Homosexuality came to where it is now in the America and other parts of the world due to intense pressure from the gay community. I hope we will not be doing them more harm than good if we totally neglect the fact that they may really be in need of our continuous research into scientific methodology that could alleviate their trauma. PS: I am not really an homophobe and I have sympathy for lots of people in the world who are still being damaged, stigmatized, and disempowered by the pernicious system like we have here. |

The first thing you can do to help the person that snores is to make sure he is aware.
He will also need to change his sleeping position. If a partner is not choking or gasping while asleep, they may just snore because they are lying on their back. They may have to start sleeping on their side
Sedating medications around bedtime, alcohol and weight should be mitigated. Because additional tissue in the neck area due to few spare pounds or relaxation of muscles in the mouth and throat due to booze or a sleeping pill can contribute to the obstruction of the airway leading to snoring. |

[s] Greene66: I was walking the street and something just came upon me. The fact that Nigerian men are not lovable. Infact, nigerian men are like 3 year old Japanese boys.
1. They are perverted:- All a nigerian man want from you is sex. Infact they marry for s3X that's why they cheat on their fat wives at home with sexy slim uni students. They can't get enough of that young puss.y
2. They are unromantic:- A nigerian man would rather fvck you on a weekend than take you shopping. Watch them call me a gold digger now. That's their favorite phrase "gold digger" because they are broke niggas. They don't know how to mAke a woman happy. All they know is to buy you something worth N1500 and expect some love in return like they did something big.
3. They don't satisfy women in bed:- They only care about themselves. Some of them would last only 2 mins some 3 mins some even 1 fvcking minute. And just get up and leave forgetting the woman that was below them . Nigerian men are very mean when fvcking. They only care about their satisfaction. It's only a Nigerian man that will tell you "Screaming means you like it" for real? It turns them on when you scream and cry.. who does that? all they care about is that their d!ck nothing else. They molest your breasts and other important areas without even considering if you are enjoying it or not.
4. Nigerian men are broke:- Yesss.. how much is their salary? In this present economy how many of them even have jobs? You see them on the street looking for the lady to fvck because they are jobless and as a result they are broke. Any lady who cannot keep up with their "brokeness" is a gold digger. I hear. But when they are rich they won't talk gold digger. Hypocrites.
5. They are hypocrites:- They complain and call any lady who express her feelings for them a wh0re and a cheap Slut but at the same time, they would still take advantage of that same lady. They would woo you and still go tell their friends how much of a Slut you are when you lay with them.
6. They are cheats:- Nigerian men cheat on their wives more.
7. They are misogynists:- It's only a Nigerian man that would tell his fvcking wife to resign from her place of work simply because they are married. Only a nigerian man would complain that his wife keeps late but nobody complain when he comes back 2am. It's only a nigerian man that would tell you fvcking your gf or wife by force is not rape.
So keep calm and love foreign men!
Disclaimer:- This is not my opinion, its a fvcking FACT! And im not responsible for this post. Yeah go fvck yourself. [/s] A cry of an irate skank |

shaqhead: A poll was carried out in 2013 in Nigeria on the prevalence of rape by NOI which clearly disagrees with your position
"Furthermore, in view of the debate that often arises about the cause(s) of rape in the society respondents were asked the following: What do you think is the prevalent cause of rape in the society? From the result, the majority ofrespondents (34%) were of theopinion that most prevalent cause of rape in the society is “Indecent dressing”; followed by 18% of respondents that cited “Unemployment”. Also, “Lack of moral values” and the “Inability to control sexual urge” were each cited by 9% ofthe respondents as the prevalent cause of rape. Other reasons mentioned by respondents include “Faulty upbringing” (7%), “Ungodliness”, “Illiteracy aboutwomen rights” and “Bad Company” (all with 5%)."
http://www.noi-polls.com/root/index.php?pid=152&parentid=14&ptid=1 It is worthy of note that the poll you brought to my attention is a product of people's opinion. However, since their opinion were based on standards, I think the right question to ask is who made the "standards?" Young ladies in the 1960s era used to tie wrapper over their chest, their belly button exposed and just a few piece of clothe to cover the lower part. That style was never a problem! It was the most decent way of dressing. A girl in the city dresses along this pattern in form of a top and skirt, in a different fabric, and all hell let’s loose. What exactly is the problem? The (imported) fabric? Once we had a discussion with our grandmother and she said every girl wanted to flaunt her belly button as it was a means of attracting prospective suitors. I also inquired if that style of dressing ever attracted sexual harassment; she said NO! Interesting, I thought! Presently, some grandmothers (of that era as previously mentioned) also see girls in mini-skirt and make an unfriendly side-rolling eye or gesture. Why have things suddenly changed? I am not making excuses for unnecessary flaunting of bodies, however, I feel women should be given a break with the issue of “indecent dressing!” Should rapists used “rape” as a punitive measure? Someone who is “indecently” dressed based on your own standards should be raped to correct? Oga sir, who has committed the worst crime? To be honest, you have no right whatsoever to judge how someone else dresses. What makes you feel your own mode of dressing is more honourable than your neighbours’? Aunty, your iro and buba without underskirt inside is what? Decent? Or brothers, those shirts you wear, which you refuse to button with your (extremely dirty/bushy) chest being bare is decent? So I ask again, who set the standard for “decent dressing?” PS: my opinion though. You are free to criticize. #noinsultsplease |

foolinlove: I'm not ignorant, I'm asking you to expand your thinking.
You assume that men are lunatics who uncontrollably think of only one thing - sex. That no man is capable of thinking anything further than sex when they have a woman in front of them.
I think men are more intelligent than you give credit for. A man grieving for the loss of his child will hardly think of sex all the time. A man who is talking with his mother won't be thinking about having sex with her (I hope).
Furthermore, you also purport that it is a woman's responsibility to control men's thoughts by dressing "modestly" - whatever that means. Do you really think it is possible to control anyone's thoughts?
How do you know that men confronted with a woman dressed in a niqab aren't thinking "I wonder what is under that niqab, if I will want to have sex with her".
Just because *you* think a certain way, doesn't mean everybody else thinks that way. You do not speak for everyone - and you certainly don't have the right to label or influence other people's actions based on your illogical emotive processes.
For my part, I hated all men. But I have come across a couple of lovely men on this forum. My views have changed.
I think maybe you should change your views on gender - that both males and females are human beings. That you can't judge any book by its cover. That women have the right to dress any way they should want without fear of retribution from you or anyone else.
And btw, I will dress any way I please. If it's warm weather, I reserve the right to wear small clothes for my personal comfort. If I'm going out, I reserve the right to dress sexy for my mate (if I ever get one). If I'm ill and staying at home, I reserve the right to wear sweats all day.
I'd be interested to hear what other people think, though...
Dauntless15, domislaz, evegran, withambition, breadmaker, halfricanadian, blackfire... anyone else? You are right my dear. I hope he gets your point. Women don’t cause rape by what they wear. Asking about correlation between clothing and rape is tricky, though. To make clear, sexual assault is never the victims fault. Someone has to act to commit rape. No one forces that choice. If seeing an enticing woman led men to conclude, “I’ve got to rape her,” all men would be rapists. Yet few are. And plenty of assaulted women are not dressed sexily, including women draped in head-to-toe burqas. Interestingly, veiled women are blamed, too: “He must have seen a bit of her ankle, wrist, hair, neck… Who could resist!?” Strippers are the most sexually “provocative” of all, yet patrons manage to contain themselves. Yes, bouncers provide security, but they aren’t stationed with blinders blocking their sight. And who’s watching them? Male customers aren’t physically restrained. The men are actually controlling themselves. Sociologists who have interviewed rapists, read their accounts and looked at the circumstances of their crimes have learned that they have a variety of motives . Here are a few: Some rape to feel powerful, others gang rape to demonstrate their “manhood” (defined as powerful, dominant, violent, virile, and not gay) to each otherhand fraternally bond, some become aroused by sadistically bringing sex and violence together, others seek to harm an entire race, community or nation by using sexual assault as a political weapon, still others seek revenge against someone other than the rape victim. And some misread cues. Rapists who misread cues believe the following: men are naturally assertive and women are naturally passive. There are “good girls” and “bad girls.” Bad girls secretly want sex but can’t admit it, so they trick men into forcing sex. In a nutshell, the number of assaults will not go down if women make sure to cover up. The cue-reading rapist has decided to attack someone, and is seeking justification. He will rape and he will find something to blame other than himself. By placing women in charge of his sexuality he abdicates responsibility (it’s her fault). How convenient for him! And while different rapists have different ways of thinking, they are all sexist. At the least, they believe they have more right to a woman’s body than a woman does, herself. |
