21lucky: Political Tensions Rise Ahead of 2027 as Opposition Predicts Tough Battle for Tinubu
As political activities gradually begin ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, debates over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances of securing a second term continue to dominate national discussions. Several opposition voices and political analysts believe that the road to 2027 may become increasingly difficult for the president due to growing economic hardship, public dissatisfaction, and internal divisions within the ruling political structure.
Critics argue that winning the 2027 election may not be easy for Tinubu, insisting that Nigerians are becoming more politically conscious and demanding greater accountability from leaders. According to some political observers, attempts to manipulate or influence the electoral process could face stronger resistance from citizens, civil society organizations, and the international community.
There are also growing speculations that some powerful political allies who once stood firmly behind the president could eventually distance themselves from his administration if public pressure continues to rise. Analysts warn that internal betrayals and power struggles within political circles may weaken the president’s influence before the next general election. Sources within opposition movements claim that sensitive information relating to alleged corruption, abuse of power, and questionable financial dealings connected to certain government officials may soon emerge in the public domain. Investigative journalists and political activists are reportedly preparing to scrutinize individuals linked to the current administration.
Public attention is also expected to focus on members of the president’s inner circle, including close associates and family members, as calls for transparency and accountability increase nationwide. Political commentators believe that any confirmed allegations of misconduct involving top figures could significantly affect the image of the administration ahead of 2027.
As Nigeria moves closer to another major political season, many citizens are expected to closely watch how both the ruling party and opposition groups navigate the evolving political landscape. You can't even create a descent thread without using chatgpt . Why? |

SonOfWords: Look at how you people support nonsense in the name of tribal and party politics.
So it's okay for your country, a major oil producing country at that, to be importing petrol for her local consumption?
Even in the midst of the blatant government corruption that has succeeded in crippling national refineries for decades now, you still sit down and spread nonsensical conspiracy theories about the only working refinery in this hemisphere of the African continent?
Una no dey reason😐💀?? Where did you see me support importation of fuel ? |

nairalanda1: Well, if most of the other licence holders had built their refineries, by now there would have been more refineries to compete with
You should be asking why other refineriy licence holders, apart from BUA, (under construction ) and the one in Edo state (complete and working) as well as two or three others (also working)....did nothing all these years. Because no one would have invested in them without the now passed PIB. Also subsidy was removed just 3ys ago and you expect refineries that take on average 5 to ten years to complete being fully operational by now? How long did it take Dangote to complete his refinery |

Politics › Dangote Was Once A Trader But Now He Is A Business Mogul by DomPerignon(op): 5:32pm On May 15 |
Why has trader Obi not progressed beyond his buying and selling retail venture ?
Dangote started as a trader and mainly importer of rice and sugar but today he owns companies across the polity and continent that actually produce stuff we need.
If Dangote as a trader could see that producing is the only way to generate both personal wealth and jobs for others ,!why did Obi never evolve beyond the simple trader ?
Obi claimed he generates wealth by importing foreign goods at the detriment of local production.
He claims he can somehow use this wastefull model to transform Nigeria from consumption to production by importing foreign goods at the detriment of local production and real wealth creation.
There is a reason why Dangote is a billionaire today and obi is a desperate politician begging to do just one term in office. |
Business › Re: Dangote Refinery Sues Nigeria's AGF Over Issuance Of Fuel Import Licence by DomPerignon: 5:25pm On May 15 |
Justnation: Dangote is a monopolist and an enemy of the good of the common man in Nigeria. The man wants to become the richest person in the world through exploiting and impoverishment of Nigerians. Check out cement, sugar, noodles, petrols etc. once he enters the business he wants to dominate, force government to ban importation and subsequently inflate the prices to high heavens.
The government must not allow dangote to continue to destroy the capacity of the ordinary people in Nigeria.
Give import license to whoever wants to import whatever so that the prices will be cheaper Every billionaire got to where they are through monopoly. See Rockefeller, Gates and even Elon Musk. Musk was able to influence the Trump WH to ban Chinese EVs because they were better and cheaper than his crappy cars |
Business › Re: Dangote Refinery Sues Nigeria's AGF Over Issuance Of Fuel Import Licence by DomPerignon: 5:22pm On May 15 |
SonOfWords: But why in the name of a dozen demons are we still importing petrol into a country where a local refinery is optimally producing petrol for consumption, even to the point where the country has historically began to export same refined petrol to other African countries, including South Africa☠️🪓😐?!
Is it a crime if we're self-sufficient in at least one phacet of our entire miserable national existence?
What manner of demonic leadership is this, ni tori olohun?! Dangote is also importing crude from the US and Canada and his business model is to replicate the Indian petrochemical refining plants that are cited in India but refine and sell most of the imported Canadian and US crude back to these countries Refineries across the US and Canada are shutting down over a wave of class action suits by communities were they are sited for heavy pollution leading to permanent and often terminal health conditions Dangote siting his refinery in the Lekki FTZ was originally to cater exclusively the US and Canadian markets and not domestic market. Trump's tarrif on imports is probably hurting his export of refined products to the US coupled with FG insisting he must buy crude from the NNPC instead of the US if intends to continue enjoying domestic market share and the benefits of operating in an EPZ. |
Business › Re: Dangote Refinery Sues Nigeria's AGF Over Issuance Of Fuel Import Licence by DomPerignon: 5:14pm On May 15 |
muykem: Dangote should use price to cripple importers rather than the court. That's why the importers must remain as they are creating a healthy free market economy although these same importers were once operating as a cartel and fixing fuel prices . |

helinues: You guys are still yet to learn from the 2023 election which you undermine the purpose of structure
ADC even have like 2 house of reps, how many elected politicians are in NDC?
Let me also add, we have 774 local government in Nigeria, how many local government is NDC currently operating? That's how they decieved themselves in Edo, Abuja and Anambra elections . Akpata's lost the elections so badly he refused to contest the loss in court despite all their online noise that non existing obedients in Edo outside the handful of noisemakers online will see Akpata through victory. Same thing repeated itself at the Anambra gubernatorial elections that even Obi lost his polling unit and ward to Solodu despite Obi's endorsement of the ADC candidate and him coming out to vote. The same pathetic situation repeated itself at the council elections across the FCT with Obi's endorsed candidate whom Obi campaigned for losing by a landslide . |
