i have also noticed that the channels on this frequency 11137 v 30000 (starmovies and bbc on amos5)seizes on both srt4950 and qsat decoders and there is no software yet to fix it on 4950

Hello gentlemen.

I discovered recently that it appears my coaxial cable is too long due to the distance between my dish and my sitting room.


the signal level drops by more than 10% due to this. i know because when i track with a tv beside the dish i get roughly 10 - 15% higher quality.


Appears the attenuation is too much, and i suspect also that the quality of the coaxial cable is poor.



Thing is, what can i do to boost the signal level between the LNB and the Decoder? i'm thinking of buying higher quality coaxial(if i can get), but is there some device i can use to break the cable midway and ensure the signal remains strong?

There are so many fake coaxial cable in market these days (especially the ones without' california cable' inscription on them.) The cable cant sustain signal @ a distance of more than 9FEET
i bought 6 different rolls of such bad cable from SOBIS COMM recently. so everyone should look before buying cables to avoid embarassment when on site.

someone said 4950 does blindscanning? i find that hard to believe!!. i have tried all on that decoder and i realised it cant blindscan all frequencies on a satellite. The only thing it does is scan pre-stored frequencies according to satellite name. if anyone has a different experience,please share it. As far as i know,it cant blindscan new tp

Hello house,,I want you all to help me solve this mystery o. I noticed that I lose signal on EUTELSAT36E @ night some weeks ago. The only channel that shows are those on VERTICAL POLARIZATION. I changed lnb like twice and even relocated the dish. Stil same thing,and this only happens in the night. During daytime,,my signal on both H and V ar always above 80% on my 90cm. I need advice as I have ran out of idea on what could be the problem. Thanks

I have and I know of certain members who av had similar problems of 'level and quality ' dropping after entering feed frequencies like 12707,12737,etc wit symbol rate 4430. Make no mistake,it has nothing to wit ur lnb. You may want to get another strong decoder(in my own case,I used a friend's 4663x),you would see d that the two bars would shoot out. The problem you are having is a factory problem that some 4669x and 4669xii have making them reject certain frequencies.
SOLUTION:
Try blindscannin once you get that 12015 well above 75( the 65 you got is even too weak for etv feeds to come out).. Some have resolved this problem with this method while others haven't

Reason and make your research well before dispatching what other people say here.. Its not the best way to knowing more!

You would be wrong to track ses5 with 12605 v 29950. That frequency could confuse you when tracking because
1: its active on another satellite ( ew3c @ 16E)

2 : and has been decommisioned on ses5,hence it flashes between between green and red even after you have locked-on ses5 satellite

Your best bet is to track ses5 with 12015 v 29950 and prime your signal to about 75%above,them enter 12737 v 04430 for the feeds.

Bros,i have done that too.still same thing.i even tried it on another 69xii and the same signal issh happened.this wahala started like some few months back but i didn't pay attention to it since other fta channels showed tuesday champions league matches then.can someone save my sanity with these 69x boxes?

To further add to my discomfort,i have not been able to watch the tuesday's champions league matches on both etv and kktv as a result of the wahala.i noticed the signal problem is common with ku frequencies with low symbol rate like 04430,03095 as we have for etv hydepark and kktv.pls we need your responses.thanks

I have a serious problem with my decoder,69xii. I noticed the box hasn't been showin signal on some tps notably the etv frequency on astra 4a.infact,each time i input the tp on the box,the signal strength and quality bar drops to about 40%red.i tried it on other decoders and the signal came out readily. 12053 and 12015 frequencies on same satellite are all good with 92% quality.i have done factory reset many times but the problem still persists. Can somebody provide a way out pls?

MyHiDsDaar: no grts gambia is only available in nigeria via cband, there is no way u can get it on ku band , hope it answers ur question.

Even o c band here in lag,its quite difficult to get that grts on cband. Is there anybody watching it presently and with what signal strength?

No offense really but u shud just av told evryone you don't av d tp with u instead of sounding like that.there ar so many frequencies listed on the turksat3a chart on lyngsat wit the respective channel names. So how on earth do u expect us to knw which of them you heard of.
