This OP na fraudster. The foes weren't the Igbos of South East Nigeria. They were called bushmen (bush is "igbo" in Yoruba language).

So these enemies were "bushmen" back then cuz they lived in the bushes.

Common sense will even tell you it is impossible for two communities hundreds of kilometers apart to wage war on each other in those days without any viable means of transportation.

They walked back then so how many months do you think it will take each side to walk between Awka and Ile Ife? And how many new foes will you meet on the way??

Make we dey apply common sense abeg grin cheesy

Stop reading Yoruba concorted stories. You mean that the Bushmen where a tribe?

Just after their oracle descended with Iron chain and bathroom slippers to eat hydraulic soup.

A NOBLEMAN of Ile-Ife had a beautiful and virtuous wife named Moremi, and a handsome young son, Ela.

The country of the Ifes was at that time subject to fierce raids by a tribe called the Igbos, who were of such an uncanny appearance in battle that the Ifes thought them not human, but a visitation sent by the gods in punishment for some evil. In vain did they offer sacrifices to the gods; the raids of these strange beings continued, and the land was thrown into a state of pamc.

Now the heroic Moremi, desiring to bring an end to this condition of affairs, resolved to let herself be captured during one of the raids, so that she might be p. 15 carried as a prisoner to the land of the Igbos and learn all their secrets.

Bidding farewell to her husband and her little son, she went to a certain stream and promised the god of the stream that, if her attempt was successful, she would offer to him the richest sacrifice she could afford.

As she had planned, she was captured by the Igbos and carried away to their capital as a prisoner. On account of her beauty she was given to the King of the Igbos as a slave; and on account of her intelligence and noble heart she soon gained the respect of all and rose to a position of importance.

Before she had been in the country very long, she had learnt all the secrets of her enemies. She found that they were not gods but ordinary men. On going into battle they wore strange mantles of grass and bamboo fibre, and this accounted for their unnatural appearance. She also learned that because of these mantles of dry grass, they were much afraid of fire, and that if the Ifes were to rush among p. 16 them with lighted torches, they would quickly be defeated. As soon as it was possible, she escaped from the palace and from the territory of the Igbos and returned to her own people. Her tidings were joyfully received at Ile-Ife, and shortly afterwards the Igbos were utterly defeated by the trick Moremi had suggested.

Moremi now went to the stream and made a great sacrifice of sheep, fowls, and bullocks; but the god of the stream was not satisfied and demanded the life of her son.

Sorrowing, Moremi was forced to consent, and sacrificed the handsome boy Ela. The Ifes wept to see this sad spectacle, and they promised to be her sons and daughters for ever, to make up for her loss.

But lo! Ela as he lay upon the ground was only half dead, and when the people had departed, he recovered consciousness and sprang up. Making a rope of grass, he climbed up to heaven, and it is certain that he will some day return to reap the benefits of his mother’s noble sacrifice.

Isn't that funny she think that she is doing me not knowing she is doing herself.

Depends on where you are looking for a wife and also, if you where able to tell your self the truth.

The signs are clear b4 marriage. Some people thinks some attitude will suddenly disappear after marriage. No way.

If you can't stand a particular attitude b4 marriage, know it that the attitude will definitely steal the happiness in your marriage.

Words

Nairalanders should take their time and read this. It is rich indeed.

We are not in any battle with anyone. If you say you want to take up the duty of the men in the family since you like power, we won't complain.Have we ever complained about you trying to be the head of the family, was it written on our forehead that we are the head of the family.

All these are just pictures painted on your head by your shortsidedness or your unfortunate relationship. It is not and never a yardstick for judgement

Lalasticlala Seun Rocktation

Thanks for understanding.

My girlfriend when I was in Secondary school once told, "I had sex with your guy, go and Die " because she thought I was doing such with my new friend.

Today, this thought are still yet to leave some married people. Some people will align with outsiders just to deal with there partner that did them wrong or lied and most times they end up destroying everything.

Most people are in marriage but are not matured enough for it

So my dear friends, there is no competition between men and women, a man here may refuse his wife power like our president that doesn't mean that there is no men like Willie Obiano that allowed his wife to wield powers.

So, Marriage is a co-operation, You can marry a useless man or a useless woman that thinks it is the duty of the other party to look after the family. Seek positive advice from older people or experienced people, Don't conclude it is a general man thing or a general woman thing, it will make u loose initiative to make things work.

My mum planted it in us that it was my dad that was the problem because he had the money. But now we have grown, we all have now seen it that we where all wrong. My mum needed to wield alot of power, Expected my dad to carry all the burden in the house even though he has already opened a flourishing Building material shop in Arriaria for my mum just to reduce too much demands from him but yet my mum didn't accept the seize fire, When decisions has been made in the street that everywhere will be graded, my mum stood against the street and my dad and refused that our side won't be, because she didn't want water ways to pass through our gate into the central gutter channeled by the government and this will later lead to flooding and destruction of the road. These and many more made my dad go mute whenever she brings up an idea or project she wants. These attitude made mum feel neglected and made her plant some seeds into us. We all supported her then, but now we are grown the truth has been revealed. Now they are old in two parties especially my dad now uses their foolishness then to make fun of themselves whenever we go home for Christmas. Silence was my fathers key to build back peace in his family. He never said Talkativeness or nagging is generally woman thing.

I have noticed that Women always think they are in Competition with the men. Thinking that the society is always against there gender or there is imbalance in the world.

I seriously don't know why all these baseless thoughts with no prove.

We have bad Husbands that cheat or beat there wive,Just as we have bad women that cheat or beat there husbands. Today is not like those olden days men were emperors, Educations has penetrated almost everywhere.

Some days ago, a married lady or someone claiming to be married came and was proudly dishing out how she has been sleeping around with different men , and she also garnished it in such a way it will look as if you will become pearly cake that any guy will never want to mess with or take for granted although you are sleeping with him . To drive home her deceit, she also adviced ladies not to let any one of there partner to mess with there family (She was playing psychology here, only the smart ladies will decode the tactics). In that thread, She was also trying to make it look as if Virginity was not really a certificate that will guarantee faithfulness, but she purposely ignored the truth that having multiple sex partners will kill the affection attached during sex with your husband. It happens to both guys and ladies, thats why breaking up with your first sex partner (relationship only) is mostly bitter and painful to both any guy or lady.
[b]
She quickly gathered much fans because most women are seeing it as the culture and tradition are totally against women, hence they have the right to flirt as the husbands do. Although some of her married supporters may not engage her advice to work because of Prestige married women has but, they just want to show the men that they can also do the cheating like they do.

I asked one of her supporters one question, Have you ever seen a Man proudly come out and say that he has been cheating his wife or he beats his wife and then, you see men troop out to support him and then sympathize with him. You can never see that in public place. Even your close friends you can discuss such with, They will never advise you to continue, Unless they are not really friendly as they appear. Even, Fani Femi Kayode when he announced his new baby's arrival, his fans didn't mind it was celebration, Many of his fans called him a cheat and had double mind on who exactly was the problem in his marriage wife with Precious.

There is no competition anywhere, Marriage is a risk which you must carry immediately u say "I Do" or you can simply move out of the house if he or she becomes a danger to your life. Children learn so fast and some are happy inside of them if parents are quarrelling or the family is not in great shape because they see it as opportunity to do whatever they want since there parents are not Morally upright to advise them or flog them (From my personal Experience).

My story is very annoying sha.
I left secondary school while I was 17, got admission into a private uni but couldn't continue because of the way the school treat students, there is no respect for the students. and I'm not the kind of person who fancy a secondary boarding school kinda settings and my course was not accredited in that same school, after spending few years there, I thought its not worth the stress so I left and went to a state school and studied a five year course, I was suppose to graduate last year but then because of ASUU, I graduated January this year, I decided to forget my certificate though I had a good grade but I wanted a different life that is not about certificate and then coronavirus came and time deh tick, age deh go. I was never at home Jobless but when I look back, most part of my life after secondary school was useless but whenever life gives me a reason to quit, I just can't give up, I have a feeling as long as I keep struggling to go higher, I may get to the top one day

You will get to the top one day. Just be stable in whatever you do henceforth. One step at a time is the best way to go

2. I lived in a cheap 1 room apartment that won't stress my savings.

3. I never presented myself as a savior, neither did i lived a fake life in front of my Girlfriend. In fact, i never spent much on her.

4. I gave myself yearly target and, I also gave myself enough time to achieve it.

For me, I concluded my schooling (Caritas Private University) and service when i was 22 years. I stayed with my widowed mother till i became 24. That 2 years was full time war because I battled within myself over my non- educated friends that are mostly into tanker and Container motor drivers flourishing while me that much is expected from had nothing but "thank you" whenever i finish eating my mums food ( not jealousy though)

Mid of my 24 years, i moved in to stay with my sister in Enugu. Away from home, i was more free to engage my self no matter how humiliating the work look.

I started with Teaching. I was paid 15k per month, after 5 or 6 months of saving, i rented my own apartment, Used the remaining money to buy rice, tomato paste and beans in large quantities. I made good savings before the year ran out.

The next year, i opened a phone charging place and employed a girl while I was still teaching . Money started flowing in small small. I had about 300k few months later so, I opened Firstmonie outlet.

I started massive saving. I was targeting to open an iron company where i will sell building materials last 2 years, but the required capital is too much so, I went into rice.

I am Thankful to God for where i am today.

You can still make it if you don't have a job. Just start as small as possible.

Move away from home and squat with your sibling or good friend if you are too ashamed or not free to engage yourself.
