Pls it only happens in Yoruba land.
It happens everywhere bro. I am Igbo and i will never marry her if she is not pregnant.

@op. It is becoming common because what girls do in University and other places especially between age16-23, it is better imagine. And many end up damaging their womb. So, i support pregnancy before marriage to prevent being prey to hungry pastors looking for who to milk

What saved me was drinking of kerosene. If I tell you my snake bite story, you may cry. When I was asked, "Did it bite you?" I said no, I don't think so — it was at 8 PM and I was still in primary school at the time. With my answer, the young man killed the small poisonous animal.

It was late at night, when everyone was asleep that the poison started moving from my leg to my chest. If not for kerosene, I would've been gone.

The next morning, treatment commenced by a traditional healer. Thank God for life.
Thank God for your life. I believe you

healthserve:
One of the most important things to do after a snake bite is take a picture of the snake or ensure the snake is caught. Knowing the exact snake helps to reduce the stress of guessing which snake committed the act to find the appropriate drugs to apply. So snake the picture and then tie the upper and lower region, use an object to ting the swollen and affected area so the venom discharges. While you cover it with protective neat clothing enroute the hospital after this is done.

The next important thing to do is note the time it occurred. Knowing the time helps in ascertaining the time length the individual has.

If there's no hospital atall. Like in the boys case, after the venom is extracted, he should have been administered red palm oil to drink or coconut water in large amount. For a myriad of poison issues, up to 4 litres of coconut water or palm oil reduces the risk of future risks by atleast 50%. In such cases, given the victim lots of palm oil to drink while sucking out the venom would help
Thanks

1 - Tightly tie the upper region and lower region of the bite wit a rope to reduce the venom flow into the blood stream...

2 - Cut open the bite area wit a knife or blade and try to such out d venom

3 - place a cut of onions on d region.

NB: Do all d above while rushing the victim to the hospital
Thanks. I heard tying the region is dangerous

Some weeks ago, One of my cousins living in Isiala Ngwa North was bitten by snake. According to his dad, the boy never told anyone.
Toward the evening, they started noticing some changes on the boy. After a while, he told his parents what's up.

The parents mixed concussion of traditional medicine called Gbomgbombise (pardon me for not spelling well) and other things. After taking it, they thought it will work.

After a while the boy started loosing consciousness, then the parents decided to take him to Abia State General hospital in Aba. Unfortunately for them, go slow was too much and held them for so long in Osisioma, another go slow held them at Okigwe road by then, he has lost consciousness. When they finally got to hospital, they were told no doctor was around, Nurses claim they tried their best but at the end the boy died.
My question now is this,What medicine (Whether traditional or not) could be be administered into someone who has been bitten by any kind of snake to slow down the reaction or even quench it in case Hospital is far away ?

As an Abian living in Aba, I will say that Okezie Ikpeazu since he came in power in 2015 has been working on Roads. But the problem is that he constructs inferior roads.

I also recently noticed that Environmental sanitation has been improved. But the problem is that he shouldn't have opened disposal of dirt into Bakassi dump as it is causing strong Air pollution.

Lastly, op that is not Osisioma junction. That is ASA Road. Osisioma has already been occupied by a Center Table fly over

Although i find it difficult to believe, but that doesn't mean it is False.

1st weird Testimony : The woman said, Praise the lord... After much talks, she said that one day, she went to see a flat she was planning to pack into, then on reaching, as she was exploring the room, the men locked the doors and windows, tired her and kidnap her. As they were searching her bag for useful item, Shiloh sticker she just bought fell off her bag. Fire started coming out from it and was prophesying and declaring then the kidnappers ran Helter Skelter, They released her and told her that her God is strong.

2nd Weird Testimony : The man said He was attacked by Armed robbers and shot several times on his Chest, But because he was wearing Chosen green Apron, The bullet could not penetrate his skin.

What other weird Testimony have you heard?

Oyo is all noise, no tangible movement. The PR machines are papering over the cracks. Oyo is poorer due to incessant loans which the Governor failed to clearly define what they are meant for. The much-touted free education is a sham - good intention, bad implementation. He seems not to have got a good handle on governance. This doesn't mean that APC candidate would have done better - he could have been worse.
But many Oyo people has been singing his praise ever since he came into power

khalifjgusau:
Several times I said it would take a genius to fix the many challenges in Zamfara state in a span of a term even when, like everyone, I had no knowledge who would take over from the last administration. I was cautious in my claim because I didn’t want to create any excuse for the successor.

We all wanted a leader with the wherewithal to end the senseless killings of innocent citizens that turned Zamfara into an abattoir for nearly a decade. We wanted a leader who would respect the rule of law and accommodate the interests of the citizens. We wanted a leader who would pay civil servants their entitlements; a leader who would reengage the abandoned 1400 employees; a leader who would pity our pensioners; a leader who would revive our youth empowerment programmes; a leader who would ease the citizens’ struggles to meet the challenge of the current inflation.

We all craved for a leader who would provide an environment to chart a way forward with particular focus on governance, health and education in the state. Yes, we all wanted our lost glories restored. The emergence of Matawalle as the Governor of Zamfara State was a relief to the majority of the good people of Zamfara and well-wishers.

It is evident that in the last four months of Matawalle’s administration the tables have begun to turn for good. Security has improved to a reasonable extent – a fact we cannot deny. And with the holistic measures taken, we are hopeful that peace has come to stay within the walls of Zamfara and environ.

Governor Matawalle supports his initiatives on security by distributing two hundred and six (206) vehicles (Hilux) to all the security agencies in the state mainly to improve the capacity of conventional security outfits in crime detection, prevention and general surveillance. Until few months ago when Governor Matawalle provided ambulances to all the general treatment facilities in the state, I cannot recall when last I set my eyes on a functional ambulance in any of our local hospitals.

In addition, there is a significant improvement in the procurement of drugs and other relevant medical equipment as against what used to be the practice when hospitals were not given any attention – even electricity bills were difficult to settle. I spoke with many health personnel in the state before I arrived at this.

Within four months, Matawalle’s administration has revived the Zamfara Fertilizer Company which had been dormant for more than 10 years and this facility now has the capacity to produce 200 tons (about 10 trucks) per day. This effort was in recognition of agriculture as a key branch of the economy of Zamfara state, providing employment opportunities for a large percentage of our teeming youth – farming is our pride. The foreign scholarship scheme(?) – a story for another day.

Matawalle has reengaged about 1400 abandoned employees and they now bask in the ambiance of their salaries. The new administration continues to attend to challenges associated with civil servants – from promotion, promotion arrears, payment of leave grants to payment of gratuity and other entitlements.

We are witnesses to the positive news coming from Zamfara State Universal Basic Education (UBE) Board. The ongoing social intervention programme that supports women with certain amounts of money to start small scale business ideas is a commendable effort. Mens sana in corpore sano – a healthy mind lives in a healthy body.

With these successes (I missed some achievements in this short piece) so far, less than 5 months of assumption, it is malicious to allege that Matawalle’s administration performs below par. It is unfair even to claim that this dministration lacks ‘focus’ or ‘direction’. In the history of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle is the first Governor to appoint a Special Adviser on Strategy and Development.

He is also the first to constitute a standing committee on Strategy and Development to lead the strategic planning process of the state’s Development Plan (in collaboration with the state’s Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning) and to ensure the implementation of ‘sector strategic plan’ and ‘medium-term plan’. This is because he recognises this area as one of his major areas of focus. In the past, like the letter ‘z’, Zamfara was always last in almost all indices of development including quality of life index.

The last I checked, Zamfara is now the most improved state in IGR with +171% ahead of Sokoto, Kebbi, Osun, Ondo, Benue, Niger, Ekiti, Bauchi and Akwa-Ibom states (NBS 2019 Half-Year). I cannot defend the delay in the appointment of Commissioners, but I strongly believe that we have a focused government in place.

Considering the messy system inherited, I don’t expect the new administration to solve all the challenges in less than 5 months.
Wow, first positive review from Zamfara state. Am happy to hear this

Stop lying to yourself op. Which IMO state did you visit and it's people were groaning? Ihedioha is on the path if u compare IMO state of Rochas to the current IMO. IMO state is now paying Judges their salaries and pensioners are receiving their pensions that there were being owed for over 70 months. The IMO waste management agency has also boosted it's operations. As for the roads, it will obviously take time to fix the numerous China roads Rochas built.
Okay thanks for the heads up. They were complaining especially because of bad road.
