Can you tell us how someone's inherited properties will put food on our drivers' table here?

You still don't get it. If you can't make people's lives better here by helping them, you should leave them alone.

This thread is for people to contribute ideas and tips on ehailing not to gossip about people's inheritance, k-leg, old rifts and posting memes to elongate e-fights.

Focus on getting your C passport!

Much respect Mr donbrowser
There should be a clampdown on ex drivers here derailing this thread, if you're not contributing anything to help drivers here. You shouldn't be here causing problems. I don't come here often again unless I'm being quoted and I read through few pages.

Baaz is one of the people causing problems on this thread, he tries to elongate every issue between parties here thereby forcing unnecessary loads of pages down our throats. If you claim to have traveled out to Canada, you should be busier than coming to Nairaland thread to cause troubles for us here.

And for the giveaway guy, I never knew a lot of people could turn up like that. It really shows how much of help people need here and they are not getting. Your commendable giveaway stunt won't make me shy away from saying you're also a culprit in derailing this thread. Let's focus on the main goal. Which is helping a lot of people.

The help they should be getting is how to get cars, manage fuel, buy their own cars. Cheaper options that are available, what they can do to make extra money, deals they should avoid when signing contracts and how to get cheaper cars from Congo.

Seun Mynd44 sanity is needed here. Thanks

Ah. "Na statistics we go chop?"

You can do a quick Google search on the population of the other countries but for Free, the population of Nigeria is over 223m and the population of the next on the list, south Africa is over 60m.

What that simply means is that the number of unemployed people in Nigeria is greater than the population of the whole of south Africa, by over 10m.

It's a shame.
Your statistics is wrong. Go back to your previous post

So a young bigginer should go to Yaba and Surulere for land, abi? Something that even big conglomerates cannot afford.

People are buying properties daily at Ajah and environs and are settled in, living their lives. Be there dulling yourself with allocation. That's the problem with poor mentality, sees everything as a problem. A poor man doesn't want to grow, if you advise him to buy a car, he will call it problematic and a liability. He prefers trekking up and down with his dejected and filed shoes. But dash him a car, he will go on his knees and thank you.

Except it's a family land, there's no safe land anywhere. Even the government approved ones can be revoked anytime. It's always a risk worth taking. We can only thread with caution. For you to be advising young people to go to Yaba and buy land doesn't make sense at all.
I'm sorry. I will go and Hustle for more money so I can reach your level and afford Ajah lands

You can always expound on the land business here in Lagos, obviously it's paying you.
Then extend to real estates, buy lands around Chevron, shangotedo then build and resell.
Those into it and making it big, in fact all big boys.
That's a wrong advice. I won't advice anyone to buy land on the island most especially Ajah. Most of the lands are not yet allocated. I won't say more than that. Surulere, Yaba, Ebute-Metta are better

Forget human rights and look at the bigger picture. Libya was in some sort of cloud nine until the crazy taste and quest for freedom sunk her in the abyss of war and instability. Same can be said of Nigeria.

The fear factor under Abacha ensured stability thereby effectively putting corruption in check. There was no currency or subsidy manipulation as being witnessed in the last two decades in Nigeria The mantra then was "spare the rod and spoil the child". It worked really well. Compare now and then if you were grown enough at that time or have any inkling about history, you would obviously see the difference.
Dey whyne yourself. The only thing Abacha did was not to significantly increase fuel price. Abacha was a beast. Everyone prayed he died.

U try as u call d driver, But truth be told where is d sacrificial help & d good samaritans huh
You monetize every single act of kindness and expect favors from people too.
Maybe it’s becos I’ve been helped by God and strangers more than family & friends.
What took some people years of suffering & struggles to settle down abroad took me weeks/months with ease, it’s like God prepared everything before I came.
Indians helped me and like adopted me self, my naija American uncles go dey tell stories how dey suffered before settling down.

I’ve been going to auction to help buy a car and send to Nigeria will I ask for gas money or add money to d car to make gain huh Naah I will rather form busy and not help, than to charge you for helping.
Maybe dis is d reason why some people are not getting help. D information & connection u get from strangers at times are worth more than money.
I help u to jumpstart car I charge u & get scammed by fellow driver.
I help u to buy lemon dead car I charge u , I still chup punch from kazeem.

Thanks to bolt and Uber. Son of man finally left the country 3 days ago.

What did bolt contribute to my journey? Well, the experience isn’t a waste. Plus I sold my car, same car I got because of bolt. The money was really helpful.

My target was NOT to exceed 2yrs in the hustle. I exited at exactly 1yr 6 months. So yes, bolt is indeed a stepping stone. 😁

This is me wishing everyone success in their exit strategy. Keep doing your bolt hustle till it clicks. I dey Toronto, Canada. In case any pilot is based here too. 😁🙌

Beware of Precious!

I am a crypto trader who also works as a surveyor for a civil engineering firm on the Island. I have been in a relationship with Precious for the past two months, and now I am starting to have serious doubts about the concept of "love at first sight."

Precious is well aware of my monthly earnings, which amount to 400,000 naira from the civil engineering firm and an additional $2,000 from cryptocurrency trading. I live in a comfortable, well-furnished apartment that costs 500,000 naira per annum.

However, what troubles me is the way I spend my hard-earned money on extravagant nights out at Lagos clubs. I engage in wild spending, buying expensive drinks and getting hyped by the club's announcers while the crowd cheers my name.

Last month, Precious decided to join me at the club and witnessed the reckless way I squandered my thirty days' worth of salary and crypto earnings in just one night. Little did I know that she was observing closely and had plans of her own.

To my surprise, last week, I discovered that Precious had transferred 600,000 naira from my account to invest in a new app called nVAULT that promises 18% profit annually. She had enrolled me in their "extraordinary savers" program, locking my funds for a whole year. I couldn't believe that my girlfriend of just two months would make such a significant financial decision on my behalf.

Further investigation revealed that Precious had developed a habit of investing not just for herself but also for her sister's education, opening a "N500 savings" account for her.

I am devastated and uncertain about how to approach this situation. My heart aches, and the lyrics of the TikTok song "Ehhhh! Preciousss!" keep playing in my mind, reminding me of the gravity of the situation.

I need advice and guidance on what to do about Precious. This predicament has left me with tears in my eyes, seeking help to navigate these troubling financial waters.

If your so call good government had invested in our tertiary education would there had been any need for brain drain? Unqualified graduates or high unemployment rate which has lead to all the current problems and security crisis currently bedeviling us as a country?
Kidnapping everywhere, oloshoes everywhere on the streets, even police officers are into prostitution because no pay, youths are into drugs, rape, cultism, all kinds of vices now abide in our society across the borders of our dear nation and you dare open your stinking mouth to say it's not about bad government. I pity you!

Our parents who had ordinary Primary 6 Certificate are far better than our current graduates from the best federal universities in Nigeria, Why? Colonial education and vocational training.

How many of our doctors, engineers or scientists are employable?

How much was budgeted to education in the last 8yrs since GEJ left office?

Why has ASUU strike become a part of our curriculum?
See person wey spend 9 whole years studying ordinary computer science that would take an Illori student 3yrs is talking. I have 2 jobs, I earn 6 figures... What are you doing with 2 jobs? With other sides hustles? Guy! Just 1 good job is more than enough, you're here making a fool of yourself with your 50k minimum wage job.

Guy, the government have the largest blame here to take because they neglected education since after independent chasing after their greed. Simple!

Why are they sending their children abroad to study and bring them back home to occupy the best positions in top companies? Even your Uncle MC. Oluomo that was snatching ballot boxe and shouting at his PU in the last election, did you not see his kids graduating from one of the best universities in the world? Ur papa get money to even do passport for you to visit ordinary America embassy let alone send you to study abroad?

Ordinary fuel #568 wey ur old man dey sell now no be him you dey shout so?.when last you in your generator for house when light no dey? Dey here dey shout emilokan! Rubbish!!

Don't worry wait to see their names in DPR, NNPC, EXMobil, SHELL, ZENITH BANK only to mention a few soon, na that time your eyes go clear say you don't need skills and 2 jobs with some side hustles like Uber.

Watin concern DPR staff with Uber driving as side hustle?

Mteeech!
grin grin

Remember I'm the one who talked sense into your head before you started selling cars as side hustle. You used to pride picking up big men's wife at midnight while your own wife lacked warmth. Remember how I warned you I was going to demoralize you and you disappeared after our e-brawl here only to return after about 2 months saying you've switched to selling cars. Remember I even had to check on you to see if I haven't done too much. Remember I even warned you before we started the other day.

If you want to head that way again, I'm fully game but be careful what you might be getting yourself into.

Nice point above. But is that the main reason why you believe that schools will now switch to regarding the resume of a digital market over that of a guidance counselor in our society today?
It is easier to survive as a digital marketer in Nigeria than a counselor. There will be 20 digital marketing jobs available for 15 people while there will be 2 counseling jobs available for 20 people. If I find myself in the USA today, the first skill I'm picking up is test management. Understand your environment and make an opportunity for yourself.

You can attempt to at least educate us here briefly. Don’t worry, unlike a few others I am actually able to follow and comprehend paragraphs of information so far as it’s new and useful to me wink
Nigeria is currently moving into a phase of digital marketing leaving the traditional methods of sharing flyers, distribution of banners etc behind. Although these are also good and will complement digital marketing efforts. Firms are beginning to employ people who can help them get customers and generate sales on digital platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and search engines like Google.
