Joysmart: I'm telling you it's so pathetic and annoying I can't understand how an able bodied man or woman can be leaving off popsy's pension
Now here's my problem with Nigerians...Did you read my profiles? I can be everything but I am not Jack of all trades...I am a blogger, a webdesigner and I coupled that with a 2.1 in Mechanical Engineering in 2013. Yet I am one who's to be reckoned with in the entertainment scheme.

I just ask because I believed there're professionals here and dad called me up to check on it for him. And I did point out my headache being my kidsis and that's dads headache too cos her fees are expensive.

I didn't have to explain myself before seeking for help and by seeking for help I didn't say I want to be an object of ridicle or debate. If you wanna help state it or you don't say a thing and let one who wants to help do so.

Elai147: The registrars will give answers to all your questions regarding the stock.

Please don't try to invest it on FTNCOCOA. First, you need to know if the share still exist by speaking with the registrars, get yourself a stockbroker and dematerialise the share certificate and then you can sell. Later you can come back here for advise on stock that you can reinvest the money on. While you are doing all these try to get as much knowledge as you can get on stock investing before you start investing. You should read from page one of this thread, it will help you a lot.
From page 1? This is the 401st page for fcuks sake...dayummm! I never read like that back in sch self..lol..

Hello guys, I'm glas I saw this cos I've been looking for this over a year now.

My aging dad has a share he bought with the now defunct First Inland Bank (Now FCMB). The shares have been lingering with no one monitoring it.

He bought the shares over 10years ago and no one monitors it, none of us have an idea about shares or stock broking.

Last year we received a letter from FCMB reminding us about the share. Please what do we do?

The old man retired over 10yrs ago and his savings has been what's been keeping us. He's been hoping on pension but the bleeping FG we got haven't looked his way.

I was just thinking there's hope the share would have multiplied. Please help out. I still have a kid sister in school that needs to be taken care of, she's my biggest concern. Thanks!

Merylicious I just sent u a nairaland email.
Nairaland GeneralEbola: 60 Nigerians Quarantined In Cameroon by donclark(op): 6:32am On Sep 06, 2014
About 60 Nigerians have been quarantined by the Cameroonian government according to a report from Cameroon. The Cameroonian Ministry of health however released the Nigerians after just two weeks after they tested negative to the virus.

From CIN:

The nearly sixty Nigerian quarantined in localities Ekondo Titi and Ekok in the Southwest Region were released last Thursday, September 4 at the direction of the Minister of Public Health, André Mama Fouda . The decision of the head of the health comes after a working visit he paid in the region on Tuesday in order to ensure the implementation of the response plan to the disease Ebola.

Nigerians under surveillance were released after testing negative to the virus hemorrhagic fever. They will eventually spend two weeks in quarantine instead of the 21 days previously announced which corresponded to the incubation period of the disease. The press has denounced the course of the week the treatment of these people in the camps where they were placed. Inadequately housed and ill-fed, they would have had a holiday from hell to Cameroon - Nigerian border .

The Minister of Health has insisted during his tour of the region on the strict surveillance of borders, the South -West sharing with Nigeria, a country already affected by the disease (5 cases), a significant number of miles land and maritime borders.

PoliticsNigerian Troops Recapture Bama Town by donclark(op): 5:02pm On Sep 04, 2014
Nigerian troops have recaptured Bama town from the islamic sect according to new reports today. Troops were said to have gained access yesterday to “push in” against the insurgents after the Brigade Commander of Mohammed Kur Barracks, the Area Commander of Police, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and Commandant of MOPOL 53 in Bama relocated to Maiduguri to re-strategise and have now reportedly regained the town and returned calmness.

This is coming after more fighter jets and sophisticated equipment were deployed in the town which is Borno State’s second largest and 67 kilometres to Maiduguri, the state capital.

The telephone service in Bama has been completely cut off because the insurgents destroyed most GSM masts in all the villages and points leading to Bama.

“Those in Maiduguri were able to communicate with few military officers, troops and security agents at the “battle front” through the Cameroonian MTN network which miraculously has assisted.

“So, we have to divert our call through Cameroon through a special link. So, you can imagine the terrible condition the people and residents of Bama are facing.” A source said
