Google Adsense have tightened up their policy over the years and their recent policy updates has made it look even harder for more people to get approved into their network. But we have found a much easier way to help you get approved if you've ever been disapproved before or have never been approved. Adsens now have the adsense for 'Hosted Account' users which simply means if you are using any google hosted account(youtube, blogger etc) to monetize, you can subscribe for a limited adsense account which has a reasonable stronghold compared to a non-hosted adsense account. This simply means all youtubers, bloggers on .com can get an easy adsense account which cannot be for a 3rd party hosted account (custom .com domain) only when approved by adsense team. These only means if you're on a custom domain, you have a limited luck for your adsense to be approved as they strictly scrutinize it. But a blospot.com (hosted domain) might be luckier yet it is still a tough one too. With this article, I will teach you how to get an approved adsense account in less than 2hrs and how to upgrade it to enable custom domain approval. Telecommunications operator, Globacom, has said the rationale behind the slashing of its BlackBerry tariff by half is to encourage Nigerians to use data more frequently. In a statement, the firm said the unprecedented move was aimed at liberalising access to the modern tool for social and business networking. In addition to the tariff drop, it said there was a considerable increase in the data allowance for both BlackBerry 10 plans and the generic BlackBerry plans. The statement signed by Globacom’s Coordinator, Marketing, Mr. Adeniyi Olukoya, explained that the Absolute Month platform, which hitherto was N2,800 with 3GB data, now goes for N1,000 with 3GB data. The Absolute Week plan goes for N500 with 700MB and the co-month and co-week plans go for N899 and N400 with data allowance of 3GB and 700MB respectively. According to the company, the new BlackBerry subscription tariffs are for both old and new customers. The statement said, “Globacom is the first network to introduce BlackBerry service in Nigeria and we have continued to maintain the lead by offering subscribers the best and most pocket-friendly BlackBerry rates. Glo always has exciting offers for both existing and potential customers. “We are offering these new tariffs to encourage Nigerians to use data more frequently. This will make life more abundant for our subscribers.” - See more at: http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/11/glo-explains-why-they-slashed-their.html#sthash.pRCodZ0B.dpuf |
Mods you need to see this on Golden Eaglets Goal keeper https://www.nairaland.com/1510524/dele-alampasu-nigerian-under-17-golden |
Dele Alampasu, the 16yr old Golden Eaglet rose above his critics to deliver an immeasurable performance at the just concluded FIFA U-17 World cup where he emerged the golden glove winner for conceding just 5goals and delivering quite a number of saves particularly in the final against Mexico. Dele initially faced enough criticism for his poor performance against Sweden were he conceded 3 cheap goals which were directly his faults. He was dubbed the weakest link in the already promising Golden Eaglet squad but went on to keep 4 clean sheets and conceded just 1goal in the remaining fixtures. He's indeed a starlet and a role model. The Nigerian born Keeper of Togolese decent (Parents are said to be immigrants from Togo according to a reliable source) was a young lad who sells pure-water around Ogba area in Lagos. According to our source, Dele lived the life of every struggling Nigerian on the streets. He sells pure water after school for his parents and whenever he can, he joins up with some boys who play street football. His road to success began when he was playing his street soccer before he was snapped up to an academy. His performance was then rewarded as he was selected to be the first choice goalie for the Golden Eaglet. The source also said so many of the players were from average or struggling homes who played football on the streets. He singled out another player Obasi as someone he's played with at a place called kara, a local surburb just around the Ogun river bridge. he was excited how their perseverance had breeded success. Such an inspiring story. Whoever would think a pure water seller would become a cult hero today. We're proud of Dele and the Eaglets. All thanks to coach Manu Garba and his crew who narrowed their search to the grassroot academies, something that has been lacking for years as players were picked on merit. We hope this feat continues, Their performance was superb that the world wondered if Africans really had such World beaters. History was made! 4 )-17 World cup trophies, a feat Brazil is yet to match or England the founders of football. Now the world celebrate promising stars like Kelechi Iheanaho, Musa Yahaya, Musa Muhammad, Dele Alampasu, and the rest. We say congrats once again to the GOLDEN Eaglets for truly standing by their name and bringing us back the GOLD medal and lest we forget, Congrats to coach Manu Garba, he was an outstanding figure aswell. http://www..com/2013/11/dele-alampasu-nigerian-under-17-golden.html |
Yes oh I told guys we're sure winning this one... Did you see the fire that burnt down the 25-Storey Great Nigeria House In Lagos? Watch the video here very massive fire |
I can't reply everyone at the same time but for those who think it a hoax, I am not an etisalat staff just a full blooded Nigerian like you. I just blog on things i have confirmed and this is real. Etisalat started this about a month ago for just those 4locations as a test to see how Nigerians will respond. if the response is high then they will open up more outlets. And yes you can change your Nokia torch to an iPad so far as the machine evaluates the phone to still have a value. Whatever the value is, you will have to add up a little money to buy another phone just like those streets boys in Computer village who do 'you wan buy you wan sell' business. And this applies to all your mobiles from a bb bold 20-to a nokia 3310. |
So many bloggers do not backup their blogs forgetting a blog is also like a storage system. But if the content of your blog, from body copy to images to comments, are of any value (and why are you writing it, if not?), then you should have some kind of system in place for backing it up. I'm going to look only at personal blogs on three of the most popular hosting sites—Tumblr, , and Blogger—although I'm sure you'll find that some of the ideas for how to back them up are applicable to other blogging services, too. Option 1: Use a Third-Party Service The simplest way to back up a blog is to use a third-party service. I've seen so few of them, though, that I wasn't exactly floored by the options. If you have a decent third-party backup blog service that you like, please mention it in the comments. BackupBuddy is a plugin for WordPress that, for $80 a year for two licenses, creates a backup of your blog that's sent to Dropbox, Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud, an FTP server, or your email so you can keep the backup locally. WordPress users might also investigate BlogVault. BlogVault backs up your blog to another location and keeps version histories, too. Restore service is included, too. BlogVault costs anywhere from $9 per month to $39 per month. Tumblr users can try the tumble-log Backup Jammy, which spits out an HTML page containing whatever you select: text, links, quotes, photos, chats, videos, songs, or all content. It's up to you to decide what you'll do with the backup. Option 2: Export Another pretty simple solution for backing up your blog is to export it to your desktop, but that requires exporting it every time you update it or see new user comments added. Plus, you don't necessarily get everything, like your blog's theme settings, included. Tumblr has its own backup app for Mac users. To use it, you download a piece of software, sign in with your Tumblr account credentials, and download what is essentially an export of your blog to your desktop. The custom theme code is included in this export as a separate file. This backup app at least does perform incremental media backups, meaning image and audio files are only downloaded if they don't already exist in the backup folder. Text content and post data are re-downloaded each time you run the app, though. Blogger's export tool takes little effort to use, but it does not contain the theme file, which you have to export separately. And as I said before, you'll have to re-export your blog each time new content is added, whether that's a new post or new reader comment. Exporting from WordPress is equally simple but imperfect for creating backups. But, depending on what you intend to do with the backup, or how much of the data is valuable to you, you might not feel at a loss to exclude the comments, in which case you could look into a DIY solution. Option 3: DIY Solution One idea for putting in place a DIY solution for backing up your blog is to automate the reposting of each of your blog entries to another blog service, but keep that blog marked private so that it does not compete with your existing blog. If I were going this route, I'd use ifttt, which stands for "if this, then that," to automate the reposting. For example, if you have a Blogger blog, you could create a Tumblr blog, leave it private, and have all your posts automatically be "backed up" to Tumblr, or vice versa. ifttt offers a number of automation options, which you can customize, too, to include or exclude certain aspects of your post, like the date it published. You won't get comments on the private backup blog, but at least you'll have everything else. If this solution sounds like one you might use, you would probably want to start by exporting your entire blog, and then re-importing what you have existing already into the new service. Then you can turn on an ifttt recipe that will forever after put your new posts into the secondary backup blog. - See more at: http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/11/have-you-ever-backed-up-your-blog-learn.html |

kaykash007: Pls boss, what can I do? My keyboard is giving out some kind of sounds each tym I try to boot my system. One engineer has helped me to check on it and it stop for a while but it has started again. Tanksif you have tried the above fix and it isn't working then it maybe a board problem. My advice is still see your engineer but I will try to find out something. |
Mods see this for frontpage https://www.nairaland.com/1503355/laptop-keyboard-not-working-malfunctioning |
There are times you're working with your PC and all of sudden the keyboards starts malfunctioning or a particular part of the keyboard or some sets of buttons stops working. There are many causes that could lead to this occurring. Having a key on your laptop or your laptop keyboard stop working altogether doesn't mean you have to chuck your laptop altogether. Our fixes below should address the majority of possible issues. But if you can't get the keyboard working after one or more of the above fixes, then get your laptop looked at by a professional. Check for Crumbs Hold your laptop upside down or at the very least at a 45- to 75-degree angle from horizontal and give the laptop a good shake. Sometimes crumbs from working lunches or your last snack break can get stuck under the keys. This is more of a problem the older your laptop is, but it's worth a shot even on a new laptop to see if you can fix the problem quickly. If you have a keyboard vacuum or a can of compressed air, give the nooks and crannies of your keyboard a quick cleaning. If one or two keys are stuck because of soda spillage, then you can try cleaning those individual key switches with a rag soaked in a couple of drops of cleaner like rubbing alcohol or even warm soapy water. Make sure you're applying the liquid to the cloth first and not directly to the keyboard. Pop the offending key cap off the keyboard and try to clean as much dried liquid from the key switch as possible. A cotton swab can come in handy here, just be careful and don't disassemble the key switch unless you know what you're doing. If an extensive section of the keyboard is stuck because of liquid damage, like spilled cup of soda or coffee, then you best recourse may be to have the keyboard assembly replaced. Reboot Your PC A reboot corrects a thousand ails, as my old IT manager used to say. If you can't use the trackpad or mouse to reboot the PC, just hold down the power button for about 10-15 seconds to turn the PC off. If that doesn't fix the problem, try one of the solutions below. Driver Problems This problem crops up if you install third-party software often and/or you turn your machine off all the time without using the Shut Down command. Check the Device Manager on your laptop. If the keyboard line item has a yellow exclamation point next to it or if the keyboard icon doesn't show up at all, then you should try to get to your laptop maker's download page, then download and install the latest drivers for the keyboard. You may have to hook up a USB keyboard (see below) to navigate text entry fields, but after you find the correct file it should be a quick download and fix. Go USB If all else fails and you need to get a term paper or other word document done, stat, then find a USB desktop keyboard and plug it in. It's not elegant, but it will let you finish whatever you need to do now, then you can figure out the main problem with your laptop keyboard later. Bad Connections Sometimes the keyboard loses connection with the laptop's motherboard, and you have a keyboard that either works intermittently or not at all. If you're an IT pro, removing the outer case and reconnecting the ribbon cable on the bottom of the keyboard should be child's play. If not, check out sites like ifixit.com or your laptop manufacturer's site for service manuals and diagrams to help you disassemble your laptop and reconnect that ribbon cable. If you aren't comfortable disassembling your laptop, then bring it to a service depot so a professional can take a look at it. Defective Keyboard If you're still in your warranty period or have an extended warranty, then try your laptop manufacturer's tech support line. If they determine that you're using a defective keyboard, then you should be able to get it replaced at a service depot without too much hassle. Before you send your laptop in or surrender it to a service tech, however, it's always advisable to back up your hard drive or remove it entirely and hold on to it. That way you'll still have your data, which is the most important part of your laptop. http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/do-you-have-laptop-where-keyboard-is.html |
Last month, Apple released its new operating system, the iOS7 and here's how to get yours or upgrade your current OS to iOS7. 1. Check Your Device First you need to make sure you have a compatible device. iOS 7 will work on iPhones that are iPhone 4 and later, Retina display iPads, iPad 2, and fifth-generation iPod touch. Not all devices will get every new feature available in iOS 7. For example, iPhone 4 won't have Siri or the panoramic camera feature. (See our complete list of devices that will run iOS 7 for more details on the missing features.) iOS 7 will also come preinstalled on the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, which will be available September 20. 2. Decide to Download Now or Later Not everyone will want to download iOS 7 right away. Why? Because the crush of users all trying to get it ASAP will likely crowd Apple's servers, making the operating system very slow to download. Wait until later tonight or tomorrow, and the download and installation will go much faster. The update also seems to go faster via iTunes than over the air (explained further below). 3. Update iTunes (If Backing Up To or Installing From iTunes) If you back up your iPhone or iPad to iTunes, or if you plan to install iOS 7 from iTunes, you have to check whether you're running the latest version (11.0.5). To check, launch iTunes, and go to Help > Check for Updates. Install and updates and restart iTunes. 4. Back Up Your Device This step may be the single most important one to follow. Back up your iOS device! With the latest version of iTunes installed, you can go ahead and back up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes. Alternatively, you can back it up to iCloud. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. Under Backup, turn on the switch for iCloud Backup. 5. Update iOS When iOS 7 becomes available, you can update wirelessly, also known as over the air, which for most people with a good Wi-Fi connection will be the simplest method. But it could take much longer than the second method, which I'll explain second. Over the Air (via Wi-Fi) On your device, go to: Settings > General > Software Update You'll see instructions there to download and install it. You may want to plug in your device because the download and installation process may drain the battery. Via iTunes Alternatively, you can update your software via iTunes. This is the method I prefer, and which I recommend. Plug your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch into your computer with the USB cord and Launch iTunes (if it doesn't open automatically). On the left side of iTunes, find your device, for example, "Jill's Phone," and click it. In the center of the screen, you'll see "Version" and a button "Check for Update." Click "Check for Update." A dialog box will tell you that a new software version is available. Select "Download and Update" or just "Download." In the past, "Download and Update" hasn't always worked for me. The other option to "Download" has, though, but it can take a while if the network is jammed with people trying to upgrade to iOS 7. You'll have to push one more button in the center of your iTunes window in order to put the operating system onto your phone. After the above procedures, just be patient while the downloads/update completes. http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/learn-how-to-downloadupgrade-to-ios7.html |

The Android phones have come to stay and is obviously taking over Nigeria and other parts of the world. The importance of data backup in mobiles and other storage system cannot be over emphasized. How much important information do you keep on your Android? Would you be heartbroken if your Android was lost or stolen, and all your photos, text messages, contacts, and other valuable data were gone for good, too? Prevent that disastrous scenario by backing up your phone. The key to backing up any data is redundancy. You should always have more than one copy of your data. The First Copy I recommend making the first backup of your Android data be a copy of the SD card you keep on your computer. I'll list the basic steps here, but note that, with Android devices, there may be slight variations in the exact wording or steps. 1. Connect your Android device to your computer (Windows or Mac should both work) via the USB cable. 2. On your Android, pull down the main menu (swipe down from the top of the screen) and select "USB connection." 3. On the next page, choose USB Mass Storage and hit OK. 4. You'll see a new drive or "Removable Disk" appear on your computer for the SD card. Open it up, and copy all the files inside to a new location on your computer. I would put the date right into the name of the folder—something like "130815_ANDROID-SD-CARD-BACKUP"—so you can very easily identify it and when it was created. This first backup copy is all well and good, and you'll be thankful you have it if anything goes wrong, but it's not likely to be updated too often. So for your second backup, I recommend choosing a method that will update more frequently to ensure you have all the most recent photos, texts, settings, and everything else stored on your Android. But seeing as Android is all about giving users choice, there are a few different options. The Second Copy For your second backup copy, you can 1) use an app, 2) take a DIY method, or 3) use the slightly complicated Nandroid backup system for root users only (which I do not cover here due to its complexity and the fact that it's limited to root users). Using a backup app—and I list a few of them below—removes most of the management, organization, and upkeep out of backing up your Android. It's kind of like a "set it and forget it" solution, although part of the "setting it" means entering your credit card information, as these services generally aren't free. The DIY method, which is typically free, takes a bit more effort because you'll back up different kinds of information to different places: your settings to Google, for example, but your text-messaging history to another service. Option 1. Use a Backup App Here are a few apps you might consider using to back up your Android. Helium Premium ($4.99) works for both root and non-root users, and it lets you schedule backups to go to a cloud syncing and storage service, including Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. There is a free version of Helium available, but it doesn't let you back up to a cloud service, which is really the piece you want if you're already making a copy of your SD card manually every now and again. G Cloud Backup (free to download and includes 1GB cloud storage space) is another app to consider. It lets you back up more than one device to a single account. If you need more space, you can earn it through referrals and other activity, such as tweeting about the service (up to 8GB), or just pay for more (32GB is $32 per year). MyBackup Pro ($4.99) works on both rooted and unrooted phones. If you don't know what root means in this context, don't worry about it. That's a clear sign that MyBackup Pro is a good app for you (if you're curious about rooting, see "A Concise Guide to Android Rooting" .Root users may prefer Titanium Backup Pro Key ($6.58) which requires a rooted phones and a second app, called simply Titanium Backup (free). Install the free app first, then buy the Pro app, which acts like a key to unlock the advanced features. Option 2. Back Up Piece-by-Piece (mostly free) If you're interested in the DIY solutions, you'll want to back up various data stored on your Android piece-by-piece. Here's how I would break it down: I. Apps, Contacts, Email, Calendar, and Settings (using Google as the backup source) 1. Go to Settings > Privacy. 2. Tick two boxes: Back up my settings and Automatic restore. 3. Go to Settings > Account & sync. 4. Select Google. 5. Tick the boxes: Sync Contacts, Sync Gmail, Sync Calendar. II. Photos: 3 options A. Photos using Google+ Instant Upload for Android 2.2. and later 1. Install the Google+ app. 2. Log in with your Google account. When prompted, enable Instant Upload. If you already have the Google+ app installed, enable Instant Upload through the Settings menu. 3. Return to your Android's home screen. Now go to Settings > Accounts & sync. Select the account you want and tick the box for Sync instant upload. Now when you take photos, they will be uploaded automatically to your Google+ account to a private folder called B. Photos using manual back up to a computer 1. Plug your Android device into your computer using the USB cord. 2. Put your Android into disc drive mode, and open the drive. The phone will appear as a connected device on your computer. 3. Open the device, and look for the folder called DCIM. That folder contains your photos and videos. 4. Select the files, and drag them to copy them to your computer. C. Photos using a third-party file-syncing app and service 1. Download a third-party app that lets you upload photos to a hosting service. Options might include Dropbox and SugarSync. 2. In the app settings, turn on the Instant Upload feature (both Dropbox and SugarSync have one), which ensures that photos you snap are automatically uploaded to your Dropbox or SugarSync account. III. SMS, MMS, call logs, using a third-party app You'll need yet another third-party app to save text messages, unless you use Google Voice, in which case Google will back up everything for you. Here are a few options: Backup to Gmail ($1.99) SMS Backup & Restore Pro ($1.49) SMS Backup + (free) http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/learn-how-to-backup-your-android-device.html |
Mods you need to see this update on Stella Oduah pls..it deserves fp https://www.nairaland.com/1498942/faan-also-bought-2-bullet#19201373 |
The ongoing investigation into the Stella Oduah saga has brought more dramas and revelations. More fact emerged on Wednesday in Abuja during the public hearing by the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation on the controversial N255m bulletproof cars purchased by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. Among the fresh revelations made public at the hearing was the difference in the chassis numbers of the cars inspected by the committee members and those in the transaction documents between the NCAA and Coscharis. Another is how the Federal Ministry of Finance and the National Security Adviser were made to believe that the two vehicles were for the 18th National Sports Festival (Eko Games 2012) hosted by Lagos State. Also, the committee accused Coscharis motors, the company who sold the motors for conniving with the NCAA to inflate the cost of the cars. According to Jerry Manwe member of the committee, a quotation was received from an American firm that showed the same BMW car sold for N42m. He said, “We are not fools; you have been taking us for a ride.“You imported the cars without paying duty, why are you selling one for over N127m? Are your own bulletproof cars manufactured in the moon? You got a waiver to import cars for the National Sports Festival, but you ended up using it to import bulletproof cars for the NCAA. You have been lying to us. You ripped off the people of Nigeria through the NCAA. That is the summary of what is before us here, so what are you saying?” The representatives for Coscharis motors however denied this allegation. But more drama unfolded when it was revealed that 4 separate bulletproof armoured cars were separately purchased by FAAN. The Senate Committee on Aviation confirmed that 4 of the 202 ‘operational’ cars, two Lexus limousines and two Toyota Prado jeeps, bought by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria for its top officials are armoured vehicles. It added in Abuja on Wednesday, that two of the armoured vehicles were for the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah and two for the Managing Director of FAAN, Mr. George Uriesi. “FAAN did confirm that among the operational vehicles they purchased, four of them are armoured vehicles, two for the Managing Director and two for the minister,” the committee Chairman, Senator Hope Uzodinma, told journalists on the sidelines of the investigation into the crises in the aviation industry. Apple laptops are known to have the best battery lives of all portables. The company understands just how crucial is a notebook’s performance to real-world usability, and will avoid using impressive-looking components just for the sake of marketing specifications. A high-power graphics processor, for example will reduce battery life to just a couple of hours. There are many ways you can optimise battery life on a MacBook though, to get the longest unplugged runtime. Processor The main CPU is the biggest drain on the internal battery, followed closely by a separate graphics processor if fitted. To reduce the load on the main processor, ensure you don’t have unnecessary processes spinning away in the background. It takes some experience to spot what’s essential and what’s not, what’s suspiciously high and what’s normal. But if your MacBook seems to be running warm or the fan is conspicuously audible, check Activity Monitor for those runaway processes. First change the app’s setting from My Processes to All Processes. Then click on the column headed % CPU, to rank processes in order of processor percentage use. If you see Safari running continuously at 50 % CPU or above, for instance, there may be a problem with one loaded webpage. Try closing tabs one by one to find the culprit. If load is still unusually high after closing all pages, relaunch the application. For graphics intensive applications like games, there’s little you can do to reduce their drain, other than reduce detail settings when playing on battery. You can help battery life by ensuring that useless webpage elements aren’t taking processor cycles. The best if most severe move is to not install Adobe Flash, which will prevent annoying Flash adverts appearing too. But many sites rely on Flash to show video. Google is reducing its reliance on Adobe Flash on its YouTube site, replaced instead by MPEG-4 through HTML 5, but other sites aren’t always so progressive. A great alternative to loading power-sucking Flash on every bloated site is to use ClickTo Flash or ClickToPlugin (http://clicktoflash.com). This browser plug-in will show an empty box where battery-sapping ads are supposed to run. And when you need to see content you want, just click to Flash. Display The built-in display is the other main drain on battery life after the computer’s processors. Ensure the screen is not set to maximum brightness unless absolutely necessary in outdoor sunlight for example. At all other times, keep the screen as dim as is comfortably possible if you want to optimise your runtime. Don’t forget the backlit keyboard. The drain will be significantly less the the display, but if you don’t need it, dim it. Wireless Compared to processors and the display, the drain from wireless components is limited but still present. If an ethernet connection is available when travelling, use that rather than Wi-Fi. When not using Wi-Fi, switch off the wireless from the Finder top menu. The same goes for Bluetooth, if it’s not needed by a Magic Mouse or Keyboard, for example. Dual-GPU MacBook Pro If you have a MacBook Pro with automatic graphics switching, which flips between discrete and Intel integrated graphics on demand, use gfxCardStatus (http://gfx.io) to keep an eye on which graphics are in current use. The free app sits in the top menu, and can be configured to show ‘i’ or ‘n’ for Intel and nVidia graphics, for example. Older GPU-switching MacBook Pro models originally had AMD graphics, and the app works with these too. If you notice the discrete card unexpectedly in use, click the app’s icon to see which application is triggering the switch. Beware of apps like VLC which needlessly switch graphics away from Intel. When connecting to external displays the discrete graphics will probably be engaged too. There’s little you can do about this, although in many instances if you’re wired to a display at a desk you’re also more likely to have mains power available anyway. Ports When using a MacBook on the road, remember that connected peripherals can impose a drain on the internal battery – particularly connected storage drives on USB or FireWire ports that take their power from the bus. Disconnect whenever not needed to conserve battery life. Memory Finally, remember that wired memory is consuming some power. This will be more an issue if you’re MacBook has lots of physical RAM – 8 GB or more. Try quitting unused applications to free up this memory and reduce its faint power draw. http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/how-to-optimise-battery-life-on-your.html |
Each time you browse the web with your various browsers, some annoying toolbars might be accidentally installed knowingly or unknowingly Toolbars can end up on your computer in various ways. The most common is when you install another piece of software and forget to untick the box for the additional toolbar installation. Every time you browse the web these toolbars which you don't remember installing keeps annoying you. Well whether you installed it by accident or not, here's a guide on how to remove unwanted toolbars from your browser, including Babylon, iLivid, Yahoo, Ask.com and Snap.do. How to remove toolbars from Internet Explorer Open Internet Explorer Click the cog wheel at the top right and select 'Manage add-ons'. The Toolbars and Extensions tab is open by default so locate the Toolbar you want to delete and click on the trash icon. How to remove toolbars from Mozilla Firefox Open Mozilla Firefox. Open the menu bar and select Add-ons. Browse or search the Extensions and Plugin lists for any unwanted toolbars. Remove or disable any unwanted toolbars. How to remove toolbars from Mozilla Firefox Open Chrome. In Chrome you'll find what looks like a spanner or three horizontal bars in the top right-hand corner of your browser window. Click on this icon and select 'settings'. Click on Extensions. Disable or completely delete the unwanted toolbars. How to remove toolbars from Opera Open Opera. Click the Opera in the top left-hand corner, then select Extensions. Hit Manage Extentions. Find and delete any toolbars you don't think should be there. Note: After you've completed the steps restart your browser. Now after carrying out the following steps, you might still see these toolbars disturb you such as babylon which is very stubborn. Babylon might be a legitimate software but they might carry malwares at times so this is very critical. It's technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry generally refers to it as a "PUP," or potentially unwanted program. How Do I Get Rid Of Babylon Search (Or anyother stubborn unwanted toolbar still disturbing)? 1. Uninstall using Control Panel If there is an icon for Babylon software in the Windows system tray (next to the clock), right-click and select "Exit" to quit the application. Once it has shut down, open up the Uninstall Programs app under Windows Control Panel and uninstall everything that has a name related to the Babylon Toolbar or Babylon Software. After you have uninstalled the software, you… 2. Remove the toolbar from your Browsers Now you need to access each web browser's preferences to remove Babylon's add-ons and extensions. You need to do this for any browsers you have installed, ( We already carried out this step..see above for a step by step guide to each.) 3. Remove the Homepage Babylon Toolbar had overwritten the default Home page with its own URLs. After uninstalling the software and toolbar, you need to reset the browser's Home. Under Firefox, go back to Tools and select Options. On the General tab, delete search.babylon.com and any other URL listed there. Click "Restore to Default" or freshly type in the new page that should be set as "Home" . The same option is under Tools > Internet Options on Internet Explorer. Google Chrome keeps the option under "On Startup" under Chrome (the wrench or 3-bar icon) > Settings. Select the "Open a specific page or set of pages" radio button and then click on the Set pages link. Remove all the links here by clicking the X next to the URL. If you want to set a Home page, manually enter the links afresh after removing everything else. If you don't want to set a Home page, after you have removed all the links, select the "Open the New Tab page" radio button. 4. Remove Browser Cookies Now you need to clear your browsers cookies to stop Babylon creeping back in. You'll find this option under the sercurity or privacy settings of every browser. We'd also suggest running your antivirus software at this stage, perhaps even installing MalwareBytes AntiMalware to run a secondary scan (it's free and works well with other security software). Finally, restart your PC. If on restart you find that Babylon re-emerges then do this: 1. Type in the address bar line about:config and press enter. 2. Confirm the pop up warning " I'll be careful, I promise " . 3. In the search field, type "Babylon". 4. Right click on the search results and select reset 5. Also search for browser.newtab.url and right click it . Click reset 6. Restart your Browser. After these process should be free from babylon search. You cn also try these for other unwanted toolbars like Snap do, iLivid etc. Source: http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/how-to-totally-get-rid-of-unwanted.html |
I am still wondering why the moderators here ignore to make this post a front page post...The Senator insulted Nigerians and an Ambassador asked him to apologise which I posted here http://www2.nairaland.com/1491975/nigerians-demands-apology-us-senator Now the Senator has apologised but the original post I posted was never made to see front page. It is a serious issue and you moderators have got to step up your games. Here's is apology http://www2.nairaland.com/1495528/us-senator-ted-cruz-finally |
Senator Ted Cruz has apologised for his comments on Nigerians where he said “You may have noticed that all the Nigerian email scammers have become a lot less active lately. They all have been hired to run the Obamacare website.” A Nigerian ambassador Ade Adefuye had attacked him when he spoke to Politico demanding an apology demanding an apology from the Senator. Ted cruz got the message an has apologised. The full statement of his apology after the jump: It’s unfortunate that we’re living in a time where just about every joke can be misconstrued to cause offense to someone. To the good people of Nigeria - a beautiful nation where my wife lived briefly as the child of missionaries - no offense was intended. I am fully appreciative of the range of mutual economic and security interests that make Nigeria an important friend to the United States. And even to those few unscrupulous email scammers who were the subject of the joke, I apologize to you for the unfair comparison to the utterly dysfunctional Obamacare website. - See more at: http://www..com/2013/10/us-senator-ted-cruz-finally-apologises.html#sthash.DWVTr8al.dpuf

Pls mod this should make first page https://www.nairaland.com/1495281/actress-juliet-ibrahim-poses-pretty |
Juliet Ibrahim looked fab when she posed at the red carpet even with her pretty family. The movie is her first self produced movie titled Number One Fan and the event took place at the National Theatre in Accra on Friday and she had her family there to support her with so many giving her accolades that she did well more at producing than acting. Another photo of her and sisters after the jump, I must confess one of them looks so much like Cameroon/Nigerian singer Dencia: - See more at: http://www..com/2013/10/photo-see-ghanaian-actress-juliet.html

In a recent interview, BBA The Chase housemate, Beverly Osu talked about her sex scandal in the house with Angelo which she had earlier on denied the both had sex. Catch a few excerpts below: On Her Life Outside BBA My life outside BBA has been wonderful. It’s nothing I cannot handle. On Pains and Gains Well, I’m usually a very busy person, but it’s just that right now, I’ve been a very unstable person. Sometimes, I can’t even stay here in Lagos for a week without traveling here and there. I think that’s a good thing because good things are coming out of it. And apparently, there’s always the negative side and that is mostly things that are not true that you hear about yourself; how people see you and so on. Some people don’t really bother about perception, but if you’re somebody like me, you will think about it and sometimes it will affect your work. But I thank God that my life has been good. On The Sex Scene WIth Angelo Apparently, I don’t feel sorry because I was being myself. So, I can’t say sorry to anyone who feels disappointed. They’re living their lives and I’m living mine. The only difference is that I was in a house where I had to make the platform work for me; the platform everybody enjoyed seeing me make. If you guys stuck to your television for 91 days only to see my faults, then you should check yourself because people have their faults and it’s only people with faults that quickly notice that in other persons. I don’t criticise people and I don’t think people should critisice me... no matter how you look at it, I’m still a youth. http://www..com/2013/10/bbathechase-housmate-beverly-osu.html |
Mods please see this for front page.. https://www.nairaland.com/1493835/stella-oduahs-ex-husband-speaks-n255m |
Stella Oduah is fighting the battle of her life trying to pull all the connections within her reach to force her way back into President Goodluck Jonathan's good book and retain her job as Minister of Aviation. Anyway, while her kinsmen in Anambra State say they are shocked beyond words that their daughter could be caught in such mess, her ex-husband, Chief Chris Ogiemwonyi, who's a former Minister of State for Works has finally break his silence. Below is how he reacted to Stella's travails: “What concerns me about her? We have been separated and since she became minister, we have not seen. You know the time when the issue of dropping my name came up. We have not seen since then. We all read comments in the papers, everybody is listening and even the National Assembly, on the blogs; they are all full. "But all I can tell you is that I last saw Stella in May 2011; that was when I saw her last. Since she became minister, I haven’t seen her. All I can say is that I wish her well, but there is nothing more I can say.” You may wish to know that Stella and Mr Ogiemwonyi became friends when they were working for NNPC many years ago. While her ex-husband was a young engineer, Stella was with the account department of the oil corporation. Their friendship blossomed and they later became husband and wife. The marriage however packed up when it became obvious that Stella was no longer respecting her husband. http://www..com/2013/10/stella-oduahs-ex-husband-speaks-about.html
