Hi mods, please check this trending story.. https://www.nairaland.com/1492139/micheal-jackson-named-richest-dead |
The pop star legend proved this point, again. Forbes just released a list of the Top-Earning Dead Celebrities and MJ is number one. By a lot. The Thriller-singer made $160 million last year, which is about three times the amount number two on the list — Elvis Presley — made. (Elvis took in $55 mill last year). So how is this MJ money flowing? Simple, the MJ estate made a majority of his money from the two Cirque du Soleil shows that have licensed his music. The MJ estate also earns major bucks from his music catalogue. Rounding out the top five is Peanuts creator Charles Schulz ($37 million), Elizabeth Taylor ($25 million) and Bob Marley, who made $18 million. Michael Jackson will always be the king of pop. #Fact. - See more at: http://www..com/2013/10/king-of-pop-micheal-jackson-named.html#sthash.GuRVUjVw.dpuf |

The Nigerian government is demanding an apology from Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) after he joked last week that the new Affordable Care Act exchange website was being run by Nigerian email scammers, Politico reports. Ambassador Ade Adefuye told Politico that Nigerians are “disappointed and shocked” by the remarks, adding that Cruz "should not denigrate Nigerians in order to appease these domestic constituents.” The ambassador said the statement "was a joke that went too far, and we demand an apology.” The Houston Chronicle reported on Monday that, before a crowd of tea party supporters, Cruz knocked the new health care system: “You may have noticed that all the Nigerian email scammers have become a lot less active lately. They all have been hired to run the Obamacare website.” A spokeswoman for Cruz told Politico the remarks were made jokingly and were not intended to offend Nigerians. Cruz has been a leading figure in the Republican effort to block the implementation of the new health care law. http://www..com/2013/10/nigerians-demands-apology-from-us.html |

The reviewed Yahoo policy have it that mail accounts not active for a year will be recycled and when recycled, can never be retrieved. This means every information stored in the mail and important mails saved, will be lost and there is no way back. To cut the long story short, I had a mail I haven;t checked for long and the mail was my primary email I used to register for my twitter 3yrs ago. My twitter account was hacked and I couldn't retrieve my changed password as my email had been recycled. How I Retrieved My Recycled YahooMail I tried all I could, wrote to yahoo and searched all forums but all I could get was that it could never be retrieved. Then it dawned on me that the same mail was what I used to register for facebook 4yrs ago. If you notice the new Yahoomail login iterface has a sign in using Facebook or Twitter as you see above. So I simply signed in through my facebook and my yahoomail was back. I changed my password and I was good to go. How To Retrieve Yours Simply try the process I used above. Sign in to your recycled email account using your facebook or twitter (That is if you created your facebook or twitter account with the recycled email) and you are good to go. If you face any difficulty, please use the comment box and I will get to you shortly - See more at: http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/learn-how-to-recover-your-recycled.html#sthash.ATBCIxPI.dpuf |
Hi mods, please consider this for frontpage https://www.nairaland.com/1489832/anambra-state-election-ubah-ngige |
Top candidates in the Anambra State governorship election slated for November 16, have taken to social media to win over the hearts of the electorate. Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Chris Ngige; Labour Party, Dr. Patrick Ubah; and Willie Obiano of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance are using the platform to announce policy thrusts, building recognition and canvassing for votes. The micro-blogging service, Twitter, is particularly being used as the key digital battleground by the trio to engage with voters in the state. Each of them is using the online platform to engage their followers in the build up to the polls. Ngige was the first to register a presence on Twitter as he set the ball rolling on August 22, tweeting via @SenChrisNgige. Ngige, who periodically tweets in both English and Igbo languages, has garnered the highest number of following on Twitter with over 2,000 people subscribing to his daily tweets. Ngige, who represents Anambra Central Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, got a retweet from Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, who is of the APC, within the first few days he joined the social network. Responding to the gesture, Ngige tweeted, “I thank my brother Governor, @raufaregbesola, Ogbeni of Osun, for welcoming me to Twitter with his 21,000 followers. Our victory is sure come November 16.” Also in his early days on Twitter, he aligned himself with the catch phrase — I have a dream — of the late American civil rights activist, Martin Luther King (Jnr). He tweeted, “I have a dream when Ndigbo shall arise and throw away the chains of slavery and when Anambra shall be the pride of Nigeria. I have a dream when mediocre governance shall be history in our land and all our youths shall be freely educated and equipped for tech breakthrough. “May God continue to arrest and frustrate every desperate attempt to rig this poll in Jesus name. The Almighty God is our only father; every godfather of Anambra politics shall be disgraced at the polls. The voice of the people is the voice of God.” On his part, Obiano, candidate of the ruling APGA, signed up for Twitter on September 5. With 320 tweets, he has been able to attract 556 followers on the social network. When he debuted on Twitter, he appealed to a handful of prolific Twitter users on the Nigerian social media space, including award-winning producer and singer, Don Jazzy, to amplify his presence on the social service. His first tweet stated, “I am Willie Obiano, the APGA governorship candidate for Anambra election. Would you mind following back, please?” However, Ngige lent his opponent at the polls a helping hand as he sent him a shout out few hours after he joined the social network. Ngige tweeted, “I welcome my brother Willie Obiano who joined Twitter few days after me.” Obiano replied saying, “Good morning, distinguished @SenChrisNgige. Thank you for welcoming me on Twitter. Clearly, it’s a nice place to cross-fertilize ideas.” When a Twitter user, Perez Tigidam, tackled him on his rationale for choosing to sign up for the social network at the twilight of the election, he tweeted, “Pardon my lateness. My generation’s embrace of technology hasn’t been particularly quick. It’s exciting to be on Twitter, the home of young (at heart) and smart, the place where people aren’t afraid to engage. “Hope to enjoy here. And if I win — by your help — I will still be here with you.” But Obiano has of late been battling on Twitter with an allegation that he signed a postdated agreement with the National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh, in which he was alleged to have used the title of a governor in the said document. Meanwhile, he has cleared the air on the said document which widely circulated online, saying it was the handiwork of those seeking to discredit his credentials. Obiano, in a chat with one of his Twitter followers, said, “We are not distracted by documents like this. Am I no longer presumed to be protégé of Gov. Peter Obi? If I did enter into such a laughable agreement, it means I am assuming I’ve won this election even before Anambra people vote. With the desperation on the camp of the opposition, this may not be their last attempt at discrediting us.” For Labour Party’s candidate, Ubah, who joined Twitter on August 23, making use of the social service to raise volunteers is paramount. He declared on his Twitter page that he would need volunteers for office tasks, to distribute flyers and such other people who would serve as election monitors. He wrote, “My vision for Anambra is bigger than my fears; my actions are louder than my words; and my word is my bond. Our mandate is to restore people’s confidence in government. “This election will not be won without the support of all Anambrarians and the help of God. Please, volunteer. Thank you for supporting my campaign!” With 272 tweets he has been able to win over 715 followers who now subscribe to his updates on the social network. - See more at: http://www..com/2013/10/anambra-state-election-patrick-ubah.html#sthash.iMEIkOSO.dpuf |
Starting a blog is not in anyway enough. A lot of youths are now referring to blogging as their last resort without knowing the basic for blogging. There are millions of blogs out there, and most of them get nowhere because they don't have a strategy in place. In this post, you'll not only learn blogging for beginners, but you'll get 17 concrete steps you can take to dramatically increase your chances of success. It doesn't matter if you haven't started a blog yet, or if you're a veteran, because just one of these tips can make a big difference in your life and in your blogging. With all that said, let's start with the first tip. Continue after the jump... Passion Don't just start a blog because you want to make money. There are no shortcuts to success. If you want to build a thriving blog that brings in revenue, you will have to work hard, and to stay motivated, you have to find something you're passionate about. Or at least something you're interested in Purpose When your purpose is weak, your chances of giving up somewhere along the way go up dramatically. So ask yourself the following questions: Why are you starting a blog? What do you want to get out of doing this? Why do you want to succeed? If you have a strong reason for starting your blog, you will go far. This is a long-term game. Always remember that. Niche The next step is to find your niche. The best way to stand out from all the millions of blogs out there is to become an expert in a highly targeted area. Think opt-in conversion expert instead of email marketing. Think turning your blog into a book instead of just general blogging tips. Get specific and you will go far. Solve a Problem One addendum to finding your niche is to make sure you solve a problem. Money is made by solving problems for people. If you can help someone get more subscribers on their list and make more money, you're solving a problem. So think about what problem you're solving, and then do some research on if people are willing to pay for having that problem fixed. Personality To really stand out from all the noise, you have to inject your personality and expertise into your blog. There are too many people out there teaching something they have no experience in. If you don't have experience, get some. The more you know, the more you can share with your audience, and the more they will grow to know, trust and like you. Come Up with a Domain Name There are many ways of coming up with an excellent domain name, but in the end, you alone have to decide what kind of name and brand you want to build. A few tips for coming up with a good domain name is to make it: Unique Memorable Easy to spell Concise Coming up with a name is tough, so go for good enough instead of perfect. Tag line Coming up with a tagline is not absolutely necessary when you're starting out, but it can be a lot of fun. Go for a tag line that communicates who you help and what you help them with. If you help small businesses get more leads on their email newsletter, a simple tag line could be: Turn your readers into leads, and your leads into raving customers. Pick Your Web Host Using a free blogging option like or Blogger.com which offer free hosting might slower your blog progress so you might want to avoid them if you can't be very patient. If you're serious about blogging and need extra fast progress, then you need a self-hosted service. There are plenty out there, like BlueHost and HostGator. They are just a few dollars a month and will get you started on the right pat Pick Your Theme Next up is picking a WordPress theme that makes your blog look professional. Again, there are several free options out there, but I recommend you spend some money and get a good premium theme. Some of my favorites are: WooThemes Thesis Genesis If you're strapped for cash right now, go with a simple free theme and upgrade later. Pick Your Plugins Once you've got a web-host and a good looking theme, it's time to get your plugins in order. Keep the amount of plugins you use to a minimum. Each plugin you add will (usually) make your site slower, which isn't the best thing you can do. Here's a list of plugins you can use: Akismet is to prevent spam. Audio player is to play interviews and podcasts. Broken link checker is so I can remove and fix broken links. Contact form 7 is so people can contact me. Google XML sitemaps is to create a nice and simple sitemap for Google to crawl. Popular posts is to help people find my best content. Sharebar is so people can share my content on social media. WP smush.it is to reduce image file sizes and make my site load faster. WP super cache is another plugin that helps my site load faster. Analytics The next thing you have to do is get analytics set-up, which will help you keep track of how many visitors you get, where they are coming from, and what they are doing on your site. If your traffic isn't growing from month to month, something needs to change, but remember, traffic isn't everything. If your goal is to make money with your blog, you should be building your email list, and converting that traffic into email subscribers. Content Strategy You need to have a solid content strategy in place, so think about the following questions: What kind of content will you produce? (audio, text, video) How will you produce it? How often will you publish new content? How will you make new readers aware of old content? How will you use your content to grow your business? Your content is what will build authority and trust. The more you can share, the more people will trust you. List Building I mentioned building your list above, and i's crucial if you want to make money with your blog. Think about how you will get people on your list, and what email service provider you will use. One of the easiest ways to start is to give away a free 5 to 10 page report when people sign-up. There are many email list service providers out there, and they do cost money, but it's an investment worth making. One of my favorites is Aweber. I've been using them for over 5 years. Do not skimp on starting an email list, because while you may save money now, you will end up losing thousands in lost opportunity down the road. Monetization The next step is to think about how you will monetize. How will you make money with your blog? If you don't want to make money with your blog, you can skip over this step. But I see so many people jump into blogging without having a simple business plan. You have to have an idea of how you will generate revenue. You don't have to be crystal clear, but there needs to be opportunities for you to do so. Look at what people are already paying for. Go to ClickBank, Amazon, or just use Google to find products and services people are selling in your market. Traffic Generation How will you get traffic to your site? Write down at least three traffic generation strategies that you will start off with. For example, I started with blog commenting, but I quickly moved over the guest blogging, because it was so much more effective. To this date, I've written close to two hundred guest posts for different blogs, and they all keep bringing traffic to my site and building my list, and consequently, my business. Outreach How will you connect with peers in your field? If you blog about knitting, how will you connect with other knitters? This part scares people, and it scared me for a long time. Or to be honest, it still scares me, but in reality, it's about making friends and being yourself. Just write down how you can connect with fellow bloggers. Maybe you can comment on their blogs, see if they hang out on Twitter or Facebook, or simply shoot them an email. Start connecting with people right away. Think about how you can add value to their lives and people will appreciate your help. Expectations Last, but not least, write down what your expectations are. Here are a few questions to get you going: Where do you expect to be with your blog in 6 months? What will happen if you don't reach those expectations? Why do you want these results? If your expectations are unrealistic, you will be in for a disappointment, and you'll probably give up. But if you equip yourself with the truth, you'll know what to expect, and you will keep going when the going gets tough. Summary Whatever you do, don't just move on and read another article. Pick one of the tips above and implement it. If you haven't started a blog yet, look at the first few tips on passion, purpose and finding your niche. Sit down and brainstorm some answers and then move forward. Starting a profitable blog is not easy, but it is worth it. It opens doors, helps you grow as a human being, and if you work at it, can help you make a living working from home, just like it has done for me. It's not easy, but it can be done. If you have any question, do not hesitate to ask in the comment box - See more at: http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/08/blogging-are-you-beginner-or-veteran-17.html#sthash.6hv09RcY.dpuf |

1). Have a skill: I see most people moving about with Bsc without any skill….Some even go cap it with Msc from Uk or wherever but Unfortunately, they were not taught that employers don’t pay u 4a certificate….they pay u 4d value u can add to an organization! Now, let me ask you sincerely…Do you go to the market to buy what you don’t need? If you were the employer, would you employ a “valueless” staff? 2). Create a product/service: Create a product or service and charge a fair rate….even if you will still go look for a job. Make sure you carry a solution to someone’s problem (could be a potential employer or end-user). Exchanging your time for money is a short term strategy…Don’t ever rely on that as your income. Your skill is the only thing that would guarantee a continuous flow of income. continue... 3). Save as if your life depends on it: Listen my friend, to arrive too soon is to arrive too small. Don’t be moved by the pressure to look like the Jokes and the dejis. Live within your means. Paying bills without paying yourself is the number 1 secret to financial suicide. There will always be a reason not to save…so do Save, save and save at every opportunity you have. 4). Invest Wisely: A fool and his money would soon part ways. Avoid funny schemes. Run away from “Get rich quick programs”. High yield investment programs come with high yield of loss and disaster. Your race is a marathon and not an 100meters dash. Seek to understand the dynamics of investment before getting involved. 5). Know God: Understand that there is an infinite intelligence that oversees the affairs of the Universe. That you and I have his spirit within us and we can achieve a lot more that we are achieving if there is an alignment with this source. That he that dwells on our inside has no religion or skin color. That he hears our deepest thoughts and aspirations. Share your thoughts with him, whatever you conceive him to be and I am sure he will strengthen your desires. There are a lot more but these are the basic principles I set in motion about 6years ago.I am 30years old now and I can tell you that i have achieved many of my financial goals. Are there people here who have tested similar principles and would like to share or add to these ones…kindly go ahead. stay inspired. - See more at: http://thetechtherapy..com/2012/09/the-simple-5-proven-tips-to-become.html#sthash.QyxvAbOM.dpuf |
Front page please mods.. https://www.nairaland.com/1489209/learn-how-deal-annoying-facebook |
This is one interesting topic you don't wanna miss, so take time and understand this. People are annoying on Facebook — that’s no secret. Between uninformed political rants and unnecessary gaming updates, we’ve all been tempted to do some major unfriending for a better social experience. But Facebook unfriending can be awkward or taken personally, often making it more trouble than it’s worth. That’s why we’ve come up with five alternatives to deleting a friend completely: changing visibility settings, tailoring updates based on interests and other ways to preserve both your friendship and your sanity Hide stories/mute posts If you see a particularly annoying post (a “just had a great workout” status, a photoset of someone’s new belly button ring, etc.) that you’d like to delete from your news feed, it’s extremely simple to “hide” it. All you have to do is click the arrow at the top-right of the post and select “Hide…” You can also report the story or mark it as spam, if need be. Facebook will prompt you to change what kind of updates you’d like to see from your friend, or to organise your news feed — two options we discuss in the following slides. Organise news feed If you choose “organise who you see in news feed”, Facebook puts you through a short and fairly simple process of customising your feed experience. It will tell you which friends and networks you haven’t interacted with lately, and you have the options to see less from them or move them into lists. Tailor updates from friends If you’re seeing just a little too much of a friend in your news feed, click “Hide” again. From there, you can change what you’d like to see in the future — fewer updates in general, photos and status updates only, or other options. Add to limited lists Facebook implemented lists labelled “Restricted” and “Acquaintances,” so you don’t have to unfriend someone for the littlest thing. Putting someone in the “Restricted” list ensures that he or she will only see your public updates, while “Acquaintances” limits how much of that friend you see in your news feed.To view your lists or create a new one altogether, find and click the Friends tab in the homepage’s left-hand menu. To add friends, click a specific list and type in the desired names on the right-hand side (under “On This List”). “Don’t share” before posting If you’re about to post something you know might provoke certain reactions, you can leave out specific friends from seeing that post by choosing a custom share setting. It’s a one-time quick fix, and your friends will be none the wiser. Simply click the drop-down box that appears next to the post button in a status update. The “Custom” option lets you tailor that update to specific lists, or hide it from certain people completely. - See more at: http://thetechtherapy..com/2013/10/learn-how-to-deal-with-annoying.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter#sthash.s6hbktAD.dpuf |

I bet you did not know that, the honeymoon period lasts for only 3 and half years after marriage. After that, couples start taking each other for granted says a new research. Is this one more reason why you think marriage is not for you? I have heard someone say, this is one of the major causes of divorce. After all, if you buy a fridge and it stops cooling your drinks, all you will have to do is buy a new one. According to the research; After three and a half years of wedded bliss, cuddling up on the sofa in the evening is a thing of the past, with couples more likely to go to bed at different times. And by this time in a relationship, rather than settling down to enjoy an evening together, the likelihood is that couples will eat at different times, sit in different rooms and zone out of a conversation in favour of watching television. Kate Jones, of Co-operative Food, which commissioned the study, said: ‘This research shows once they’ve tied the knot, it’s all too easy for couples to start getting complacent and start taking each other for granted”. I think this even happens if you’ve been with your boyfriend for long enough. The initial days are full of all the hugs, touching and cuddles. But with time, things can get really sloppy and uninteresting, especially in bed. Once the honeymoon period is over couples often let bad habits take over, and forget to go the extra mile to make each other happy. ‘We all know that it’s the little things that make a big difference, so adding a bit of quality time, like re-introducing ‘date nights’ or enjoying a meal in together, could be a good way to show you care. ‘Bad habits begin to creep into the relationship, such as breaking wind in front of each other, showering less, women forgetting to shave their legs, not closing the bathroom door when using the toilet and leaving the toilet seat up. This is where I think most of us women fall (married or in long term relationship) The study also found appearance takes a turn for the worse, with many dressing down in tracksuit bottoms or pyjamas before their partner gets home. Not bothering with make-up and ditch matching underwear in favour of granny pants also becomes common place. Additionally, this is the stage when familiarity with each other leads to memory loss regarding events such as wedding anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Christmas and even birthdays. Couples also revert to being more interested in spending time with friends than each other. But despite entering the comfort zone, two thirds of those polled said they still consider their marriage to be ‘strong’. Do you think this is one of the reasons why most people are running away from marriages and long term relationships? Then again, it takes two to make a relationship work right? http://www..com/2013/10/do-you-know-that-couples-start-taking.html |
Following the several events which trailed the Associated Airline plane crash weeks ago, there are now speculations that the cargo craft may have crashed a few minutes after take-off because the coffin it was carrying shifted. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTBS) after its investigation had reported that the aircraft crashed after it stalled at take-off. Being a cargo aircraft, the sudden movement of its cargo displaced the “aircraft C of G”. The report also indicated that the coffin carrying the remains of former Governor Olusegun Agagu was not strapped. A source who chose to remain anonymous told Channels Television that the circumstances leading to the crash of a cargo aircraft in Afghanistan, right after take-off, is similar to the case of the Associated Airline plane crash which occurred on 3rd October. The Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Dele Sasegbon, on Wednesday said that an argument which reportedly ensued between the pilot of the ill-fated flight and the co-pilot indicated that there may have been a load shift. While speaking on Sunrise Daily, Mr Sasegbon stated that the speculations are not confirmed yet. Air safety has been ascertained in the past one year, he added. We have attained a lot of goals that were expected as far as air safety is concerned as the AIB is yet to submit a comprehensive report on its investigations. However, he attempted to allay the fears of travelers in Nigeria’s airspace, adding that “we have attained total airspace coverage” which means that all activities in the country’s airspace can be monitored. “As far as I am concerned, progress is being made although it may be slow, he said. Mr Sasegbon, who said that people have to consider several aspects before adjudging the airspace safe or not, stated that, the first criteria to consider, is that “the aircrafts, flying in our airspace, are safe and we can see them wherever they are.” “That has been achieved,” he said. Speaking about the aviation authority’s plans to improve the sector, he disclosed that in the past month and half, the NCAA, has been discussing with other stakeholders about aircraft safety. We have actually formed the team between the industry and the aviation authority. The team which will begin its work with helicopters has the oil companies in it and is headed by the same. The team is expected to come out with advisory circulars after the exercise. However, the said team is not fully established, yet. http://www..com/2013/10/asociated-airline-crash-agagus-coffin.html |
Mods front page material please https://www.nairaland.com/1480175/efcc-gone-broke-cant-pay |
The Federal Government’s anti-graft war, which many have dismissed as below average, may even collapse as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, saddled with the responsibility of prosecuting corrupt men and woman, is now broke. In fact, most senior staff are disappointed in the Presidency. Investigations by Punch in Abuja on Tuesday revealed that the EFCC had been finding it difficult to meet its obligations to the lawyers handling cases on its behalf. The most affected are senior lawyers in charge of cases against influential politicians/suspects who are either involved in high profile money laundering or outright stealing. One of the lawyers, who disclosed this to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said he and some of his colleagues, were not happy with the turn of events. He said that some of them had not been paid their professional fees for long, adding that this was capable of affecting their performance in court. “It may interest you to know that we have not been paid for long. I believe that the commission is broke,” the lawyer said. It was also gathered that the cash crunch had seriously affected the commission to the extent that most of its enlightenment programmes on radio and television stations had been suspended. No money to pay. The media programmes called Zero Tolerance, is used to educate Nigerians on the evils of corruption in the society. But due to lack of money, these very important programmes have been suspended. A top source in the commission said, “It is painful we could be in this mess. Imagine an agency fighting corruption to be financially incapacitated? It is bad. The programmes we suspended were designed to project the commission and also keep Nigerians abreast of the activities of the commission. “But now, they are dead because we can’t pay the affected stations,"a top EFCC source cried out. This is very interesting, since President Goodluck Jonathan and all his supporters are always quick to claim that he has not abandoned the fight against corrupt, but Nigerians can see the signs clearly. http://www..com/2013/10/nigerias-financial-crime-fighters-efcc.html |

The Secretary of the Organising Committee of the Nigerian Centenary Charity Ball, Dr. Kingsley Esegbue, has said that Nigerians spend an estimated sum of N250bn on medical tourism in a year. Esegbue, who said this at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, also said that the committee was planning to generate about N8bn for medical facilities in the country. Esegbue, who spoke on behalf of the committee, said that “it is estimated that Nigeria spends N250bn annually on foreign medical care. This is not good for our country.” He said that the capital flight was unnecessary for a developing country like Nigeria and asked Nigerians to reconsider their love for foreign hospitals at the detriment of Nigeria’s. He explained that the medical problems that caused these medical flights could be handled in Nigeria if the facilities were put in place and maintained. While arguing that Nigeria is blessed with enough manpower in the healthcare sector, he said what was required was for the country to build enough facilities to keep the professionals busy. He said, “Sealing a hole in a child’s heart need not cripple the parents financially or take place in India; replacing a damaged kidney should and can be done within our borders. “Every breast, cervical or prostate cancer patient should have access to quality care within Nigeria. “Our neurosurgery units need to serve the Nigerian people; no woman should have her bladder torn giving birth and for victims of cruel acid attacks, re-constructive surgery should be done within our borders.” He said this was what the Nigerian Centenary Charity Ball hoped to achieve by equipping existing National Referral Centres for heart, kidney diseases, neurosurgery, cancer care and management. He added that the initiative “intends to galvanise all Nigerians including Nigerians in the Diaspora for a common good, as our collective gift to Nigeria on her years anniversary. “We will like to emphasise that in organising the Nigerian Charity Ball, we have chosen to be politically blind because what is at state is our health as a people.” Source: http://www..com/2013/10/nigerians-spend-over-250bn-annually-on.html |
