well he thought Baba had changed. He paid dearly for his mistakes |
Truth be told, no policy formulation yet from the 7 month old government, all we keep seeing and hearing is a continuation of the legacies of GEJ administration. I thought APC had a manifesto and in the manifesto nowhere was it stated that they would embark on continuation or continuity... all they advocated then were policies of change. Now they are in power, they have changed their "vote for change" to "continuity". God help us |
Nigeria is sliding into dictatorship and the youths whose futures are being destroyed are here hailing kidnapping, dictatorship and outright brigandage by law enforcement officers. what happens to warrant of arrest? you dont just arrest a man without a warrant unless he was caught in the act. If he had been shown a warrant he wouldnt have resisted the arrest. Those who are meant to uphold the law are the ones desecrating it. was he not granted bail by the court? why arrest him in front of the court? an affront to the judiciary...or was it a different offence? that shows the prosecutors and investigators didnt do their job very well by doing proper investigation before charging him to court. Nigeria is becoming a joke, it is sliding into dictatorship... God save us |
lovely |
hammariise:And what truth did you tell him? That he had no right to use twitter while you and your cohorts own twitter? Perform his duties and leave twitter? That means all those twitting are jobless including you Mr Hammariise that adviced him? Go get a life, Ben-Murray Bruce don hammerise you to teach you the meaning of your name, now you are crying. Abeg go find a job and perform your own duties and leave nairaland and twitter. Bunch of hipocrites. |
Plismoll:Go to a lawyer in a private firm that is a notary public or to a magistrate. No notary public in ministry of justice. You were misled. |
dayo229:Naija visa card no dey work for Finland portals o. I tried using my fidelity visa card to book for bus ticket in Helsinki and it was rejected. I tried to check my account balance in an ATM in joensuu but the machine kept rejecting my card. I don't know about master card. If you are frustrated in making d payment you can ask anybody in Finland to help you pay it |
Ipobdevil:Yes you have taken measures and you wont disclose them and one of the measures we already know is the burning of the sabon gari market in Kano |
Correct expose and interpretation of the law. The relevant authorities should not foist a fait accompli on the nation by their greed. |
fortune29:@OP i wonder what you set out to achieve by this character assassination, i listened to the recording over and over again trying to see or hear or even get the feeling that GEJ admitted people looted monies meant for weapons. Please the election is over, now is time for governance, the ruling party cant get the job done by trying to rubbish GEJ's image. the only evidence on the video recording you posted was the fact that GEJ promised to concede defeat if he loses. Please try grow up. And all the above guys commenting without watching the video and spewing trash, it shows your stupidity and gullibleness. This is how a mob will descend on a person and kill him just because a stupid fellow shouted "thief" without ascertaining whether the particular person caught was the actual thief or if there was any theft at all. And this is why our country has refused to develop |
Hypocrisy is when you reject Transparency International's polls during GEJ and accept their polls during PMB's regime. the OP should please show us the full report and the index of Nigeria's standing so that we will compare Nigeria's 2015 index standing with the previous years and know if we are making progress or not. |
FKO81:I guess you didnt follow the quote i was answering before commenting, do well to know where a discussion started before jumping in lest you'd be crushed. To clear you i wasnt complaining, i only straightened facts to the guy i quoted who got the facts all wrong and assumed i am not from Anambra or resident there. |
excel234:Now you are talking bro, united we stand. We shouldnt let in the enemy to divide us. About roads, its only the federal roads that are bad in majority of the eastern states showing we lack federal presence. Most of the towns in Anambra have good interconnected roads. It is only the federal trunk A roads that needs urgent attention. so when people protest and call for their right to self-determination, i dont blame them much because it is pretty obvious there is no federal government presence in Igboland |
excel234:lol still living in denial. Anambra didnt score close to Imo, Anambra is the first in Nigeria, this year, last year, even last two years. Bro, please wake up, the world have passed you by. Conduct a poll here on nairaland or anywhere you want, even the Yorubas who are critical of the Igbos and who pride themselves as the most educated will give it up to Anambra in the recent time. Imo is not even among the top 3 in terms of Unity schools cut off and you are here saying "Anambra came close to Imo". Please wake up. Instead of confronting the Igbo's known enemy, you are here trying to bicker between Anambra and Imo who should come first in education |
chukjojo:I am from Nteje, Oyi LGA, did all my schooling there, read law in unizik, residing and practising in awka...i hope this qualifies as living in Anambra? Now about roads, Omor, Anaku, Enugu-Otu in Anambra East and its environs dont have good roads. Have you been to these areas i mentioned before? In fact for you to get to Enugu-Otu from Aguleri junction a bike man will charge you not less than 1k and you will get to a place you will enter a boat(pontu) in order to cross the river. Anambra West is the same too as Oroma-Etiti, Nzam, Olu and its environs dont have tarred roads. on Ogbaru, i have been to Atani(Atani has road but it stopped at Osamala or something like that), Akili-Ogidi, Akili-Ozuzu and environs are yet to have a good road. all these places are within Anambra North, I'm from Anambra North. I guess that informed the decision for power shift to the zone so that the Governor will develop their own areas too |
excel234:I guess somebody is living in denial. Anambra has since overtaken Imo in education. the statistics are there. check the news, common cut off mark for unity schools will provide you with the basic info you need. There is nothing wrong in people extolling themselves. it is called nationalism; having pride in one's own nation,State or whtaever you chose to call it. Havent you heard stuffs like "America doesnt negotiate with terrorrists" before? Guess you will call that chest beating too. I am not a billionaire, but when i become one, i sure will celebrate it. You only celebrate success while failure is an orphan. And when the successful people celebrate their success, let their celebration spur you to become successful too. But if you hate, then you would have missed the opportunity of bettering your life by constructively learning from the success of the people you are hating |
permsec:I think this is misleading. Anambra was adjudged to have the best interconnected roads. Apart from federal roads, majority of other roads in Anambra are motorable. I am from Anambra and live there too. the only areas that have poor road networks are some part of Anambra East, Anambra West and Ogbaru LGAs. the rest have good road networks. But again, it is not the duty of individuals to build roads, it is the duty of the government...that is why the citizens pay tax. you cant expect the citizens to pay tax and as well provide basic amenities by themselves. |
UmuEri:wow this is Silas, pioneer set |
You haven't answer my question. Oga don't be blind to the answer you are seeking. The amount released was the amount spent abi the SGF go complete the balance you are looking for with his own personal money? Again the info came from Buhari's EGG and not GEJ 's hence I don't expect you to fault it. |
18-year-old, Miss Onyinye Oguejiofor formerly of Marist Comprehensive College, Nteje, Anambra state placed second with 9A1s while 17-year-old Master Oluwatobi Raji formerly of St Francis Catholic Secondary School Idimu, Lagos, recorded 9A1s in the WASSCE. In the May/June 2014 WASSCE, with exam number 4081345036 Master Nder recorded A1 in Economic, Geography, English Language, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics with total T-score of 659.4325 while Miss Ogueijiofor’s T- score was 648.5706 and Master Raji had T-score 640.2125. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/18-year-old-emerges-best-candidate-in-waec-with-9-distinctions/
Marist comprehensive college, Nteje, my alma mater and my home town will keep representing. No dulling. We are OMNSA and we are the best. On a second look, it looks all are private school pupils owned by the Church, where are our public schools? So bad |
seunmsg:Bro, are you telling us your opinion or what the law says? There is a lacuna in the law and inec needs direction on which way to go. INEC cannot conclude the election without a substantive candidate. the case of Amaechi v inec precipitated the amendment of the Electoral Act in 2010 to the effect that it is not the party that goes into an election but the party and the candiate jointly, you cannot remove one from the other. so it is not as simple as you think and the run-off cannot be held without a candidate in place |
kahal29:the constitution said duly elected... in this case, no one has been duly elected as the governor as inec declared the election inconclusive. so the above section does not come into play. this is a lacuna in the constitution and what inec should do in the present case is to call for a fresh election. |
Never used this before but honestly, not all "lawyers" are qualified to be lawyers. You talk like a year 1 Diploma law student! |
Bomb blast in Abuja: Nzuzubility is when muslims stone the devil but bomb the people.#BabaGiveUsOurChange |
Do we really need all this ethnic bashing? |
czarxxx:Ok I'm headed to Joensuu |
czarxxx:I went to the embassy on monday, 22/09/2015 and collected the RP meanwhile the embassy emailed me on 16/09/2015 to come or send for it. I believe yours should be at the embassy now,if you don't get a mail tomorrow, email the embassy. Which city are you headed to? |
God bless the Pope |
Sorry bro, na body language cause am. I couldn't send money to Finland for over two weeks now! |
sureb0y:Bro, Like we discussed yesterday, make a fresh application. You have a genuine cause of action to sue mutual and the embassy of Finland, however whatever case you are instituting will take nothing less than 3 years to determine and the losing party can appeal. Again, consider the cost of action, you will spend a lot in legal fees and charges...unless you wanna be a hero who successfuly battled the government of Finland and Mutual Company, but if you want a quicker resolution, get an insurance from Aico, make a fresh application. Once you are granted the RP, go ahead and sue Mutual for giving you a certificate different from the usual one they give people and also joining the embassy as a nominal party. My humble opinion though. Best of luck bro. |
Lol u dey vex, open thread comment 1st. Meanwhile you got a problem with lawyers, I'm a lawyer. I don already quote you |
A very dispassionate piece from a northerner. If more of this particular Mohammed can be found in the country, then there's hope for Nigeria. |
