freshdude99:The misplaced argument was not mine but that of the fellow who had all the opportunities of selling the superiority of the iPhone over Tecno to us by citing features in the two phones but chose the lazy route of worshipping the white man and his views here. |
Lordkratus:Yea, the white man is a God and everything he says is incontestable including his claim that he is superior to you, a black person. You do well, my brother. |
FRESHG:Nwokem, kpuchie ọnụ there, ọbụrụ na imaro ife ana akọ. |
You would think Buhari is the only locally-thinking, provincial and insular Nigerian until you meet some really clueless people who show you that Bubu is still in kindergarten with their truly professorially ignorant, provincial and stunted ideas about universities in the country. But then, this should not be a surprise. People who hardly move out rarely know there's a huge brave world out there beyond their cocoons. |
Prof. Ukwu was my teacher at UNEC, one of my best ever teachers. May his urbane, erudite and gentle soul rest in peae, amen. ![]() |
Follygunners:So if your mother is from Anambra and your father is from Ogun state, you're an Igbo, abi? ![]() |
"Meet Oluwatoni Sanni, she is the only African on the list of 1st Class Graduands in Accounting and Finance at the PRESTIGIOUS University of Bristol in the 2017 set." If University of Bristol is PRESTIGIOUS, then what would Cambridge and Oxford be? I just tire for Nigerians. That how some of them call BUK prestigious too. |
GTBank. best in Nigeria? Lemme go and ask Innoson Motors boss first. |
viktohmarkz:You're quick thinking. PAMO stands for Peter And Mary Odili. It was at their earliest clinic that Chibuike Amaechi first got his break as public relations officer. |
TheHistorian:This lame show of bitterness here will not be effective. Why don't you just buy a bottle of Sniper and end it all. That's what bitter, frustrated people do. I was going to advise you blow your brains out but I realised you have not the balls to do it that way. |
Oteiakoms:E be like you be KD homie. |
jerflakes:He actually attended University of Calabar. |
drake49:What type of in-born daftness is it that makes it impossible for you and people like you to tell the difference between a non-'okoro' from an 'okoro'? |
I had no idea that Investdata also has an outlet here on the Investment section of Nairaland. It is a pleasant discovery. Please keep it up and further promote it for the attention of other investment enthusiasts on Nairaland. |
emmanuelewumi:Oga mi, I thought my post was supposed to be on his achievements as CEO, both to the company and to sharholders. He was there for no less than eight years as CEO. And you selected just one year in which the company had a poor run due, of course to the construction of the Ama brewery at the time, a brewery that is the most expensive of all the breweries in the group, as the basis for your categorisation of his tenure as unsuccessful. I have also noted with a smile that you accued him of nepotism. Before Odimegwu became NB Plc CEO, I imagine that there was no iota of nepotism there especially given that Ohiwerei and his clique had run the plac for upwards of 30 years with the Yoruba being in absolute domination of the place. It's really interesting how imagined nepotism is only glaring to some people whenever it is not their own benefiting from it. Odimegwu is probably the most oustanding manager to have been trained in the UAC/NB Plc culture having been recruited straight after his NYSC with a first class degree in Chemistry. He showed that he did not suffer fools gladly and was known company-wide to reward hardwork and excellence while punishing indolence especially the type occasioned by clannishness. Go and and ask questions about his trajectory as an NB Plc manager throughout his time there, with all the awards and rapid promotions from a system run from Neherlands which recognised competence, track record and verifiable achievements. And let me ask you, oga, the guys on list from Unilever, Cadbury and FBNH...would you also aagree that what was their biggest undoing included nepotism and clannishness? Finally, as for you claim as to why the Europeans owners have decided to henceforth handle certain specific directorship positions themselves, again my question to you is: was Odimegwu both CEO and Chairman, HR Director, Technical Director, Finance Director, Marketing Director and Production (not Factory) Manager at the same time? Go and research the history of the company and tell us those who have perennially held those positions until recently in the company. |
DaV8King:My guy, how did Festus Odimegwu make this dishonorable and unenviable list? I think that you have mixed things up here. The Odimegwu era was infact one of the most successful, both for the company and for its shareholders, in the entire history NB Plc. Remember that it was under him that ROI on investment in NB Plc was at some of its highest peaks in terms of dividend pay outs and back to back bonus awards. That is not to mention that he boosted capacity by the building of the company's largest brewery in Ama Enugu State, the biggest and most modern of its type in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as in the acquisition of a few local ones. I think you you have jumbled up his stupid dabbling into the 3rd term politics of OBJ with his actual sterling performance as a CEO. These are two different things. And yes, you left out the immediate past MD of FBNH from your list. |

Is it not this same Akintola Williams Deloitte that are known for their questionable previous corporate audits that they are appointing to do this 'forensic' audit? Oando will walk. Trust me. |

Pejah:Bros, you can still be both in this world o. Footballer during the day and boxer at night. Ronaldo and Mayweather fall on you. ![]() |
rychard:Poor excuse. Two former FBN MDs Joseph Sanusi and Lamido Sanusi were former CBN governors too. The truth is that the fraud in First Bank by many of its executive and non executive directors over the years has hobbled it. That is one of the reasons why the bulk of the bank's profits today go into provisioning for huge non performing loans granted to many of these fraudulent directors and their companies. |
NwaAmaikpe:Crying more than the bereaved. Shebi, Jim Ovia dey there dey pally with Uche Ogah his fellow billionaire while you are here tearing off all your hair counting in kobos and shi-shis. |

mrBN:What success? Your tenure was an unmitigated disaster. And to think you foisted that criminal T. A. Orji on the state to cover your tracks only for him to turn out a veritable locust on the state like your thieving self. Your infamy will live forever as far as ghats raped state is concerned. |

So if you no open the two doors of the car, we no go see you posinf in front of it? I just tire for these our Naija money-miss-road types. I am sure it was the car he really wanted to display and the story of the DNA is just incidental. Fine car, though. ![]() |
