Had my interview ysday. It was nice meeting some nairalanders pgiddy (my pressid guy), sassydust and some ghost nairalanders. It was a good experience for a first timer like me. I can't really say how long I spent in that room anyway (abeg pgiddy, you fit help me with dat info ) what I can say for sure is that we discussed for quite a reasonable while. Questions were basically behavioural, some career objective and leadership stuffs too. Also, get ready for further questions based on your replies. The GD was kul too, basically general knowledge stuff. It was kul we did the necessary familiarizing and agreed on our roles in the waiting room b4 we proceeded to the interview room. Finally, shout out to my May 6th peeps. You guys were kul. The British schooled guy that presented for my group, you did well bro. And to all the ghosts dat acknowledged they've been following this thread without posting, you might like to post now. Goodluck fellas. |

30watts: I think this is the worst PWC graduate recruitment thread in recent years. Incase you all don't know they would take as many as do well in Bankes words. IF you have taken your interview you have either been selected or dropped, if you take yours you would either be selected or dropped. Dey could pick 8 of 10 in a day they could pick 2 of 10. Why so secretive this year? One real person (BukAgb -God bless you) made an attempt to help and the' if I fail you fail vultures 'came for her. I have posted comments before that I didn't see kindly let this be.
Annoying part is those that always derail the purpose of the thread. We haven't collected work we are discussing salaries. Isn't there a thread for that. There are those of us that pretend to be happy with our jobs Yet we want to die here.
We have few days to bless one another. God bless us as we do so. Seconded!! |

darefestus: Usually, there is an admission review committee to see if an applicant meets the University's minimum entry requirements e.g GPA(3.00/4.00), GRE/Toefl, GMAT..if such applicant meets the requirements then the application is forwarded to the department for review and consideration (Usually for MSC, They look at the intended research in light of the department's available funds, supervisor, Transcripts and recommendations) but in your case I believe your SOP, Recommendations and transcript should do. Usually too there is no interview for Masters Applicants..Most interviews from Toronto were for doctoral applicants so you may not need to bother abt that. An offer of admission will be made, but formal acceptance will only the given after you have had your Official sealed transcript sent to them..The one you uploaded should be enough for now.. Kep in Mind you applied to the best Uni (By QS ranking) in canada, so kep the faith, as admission is crazy competitive. All d best.. Thanks a lot for this info. |

Good day house. I've submitted my online application and paid the application fee for M. Eng Electrical and Computer Engineering University of Toronto. I have B.Eng Elect Engineering (cgpa 4.57) Pls, I need someone to help me with a summary of their admission and selection process. Is there going to be an interview or any other form of assessment?? Also, can I get admitted prior to their receipt of my official transcripts (in paper form), though I've uploaded a scanned copy on the application portal. Thanks for your response and assistance. |

darefestus: You dis First class people sef..What is dis obsession with McGill and Toronto? Anyway, are u applying for M.Eng or MSc.. If it is the former, your chances are quite high provided you provide superb SOI, References and with your GPA..You should be competitive enough. If on the other hand you are for MSC, Then the most important question is; Have you gotten a potential supervisor? If it is stated on their website that you must get one, please do, because they wont even consider your application unless you have a professor willing to supervise you. With a supervisor and the other docs mentioned earlier, you should be good. Thanks bro. I'm applying for M. Eng. |

Hello everyone, I am kinda in a gamble situation now. I am on the verge of applying to university of toronto and mcgill university . What is left now is to pay the application fee which is appromitaely 20000 naira for each of the schools. But my issue is that how likely is it that they will admit me after paying the fees because I don't want to be at a loss. I finished with a first class in my undergrad course. Electrical Engineering to be specific. |

Eke40seven: 1. If you stay in Lagos, go to the HEAD OFFICE of NIPOST at the ARRIVAL LOUNGE of the MURITALA MUHAMMED AIRPORT (MMA), use the registered mail and tip them to encourage their good work. You know what I mean. It costs between N500-1500 officially. That is the fastest you could ever get of any NIPOST OFFICE in Nigeria of a post leaving our shores (I could be wrong). Although from experience unregistered mails are always faster may be because record keeping and updating online for tracking is not involved and it costs not more than N300 per address/file. Whichever way, I'm positive that your mail will arrive maximum of 7-10 working days if you use that channel.
2. EMS speedpost from NIPOST, takes a maximum 5 working days, no stories! It costs 8k per address or file.
3. DHL is super fast and there is a 100% certainty about the period it will take to reach its destination. It costs 13k5 to send to Germany, from experience too. But before you give away that money, be informed that DHL has a special price for sending documents to school but majority don't know about this because the info is not on their site, at least the last time I checked and their staff will not tell you about this unless you ask. There is actually a special discount price if you are sending documents to schools.
My 2 cowries! Thanks a lot bro |

ebele17: Use dhl, it will get here in 3 days max. Make multiple copies of your certificates and take them to the high court. It will probably cost u some money so go with money. Print out ur application and put all ur backup documents and include only the certified copies u did at d court not original oo. And send. If ur deadline is near, better use dhl. Ailt Eby. Thanks for the advice. Will do as advised |

Happy new month pals. I've been silently following this thread from the part 1. I have a cgpa of approx 4.57/5. Looking to apply for msc power engineering in TUM, information engineering in rhein waal; and a couple other schools. God willing, my transcript should be out by first week of this month, so that I can start sending out my applications. Wanna express my sincere and unalloyed gratitude to the elders of this great thread; Special mention to eke40seven. Thanks for your immense contribution to this thread. May God bless you and grant you all that you desire. |

Ndyoo: Abeg help me tell the guy...he's behaving like someone that is not used to modern facilities. Except there's something he's hiding. Nevilbot, all you have here is trust because you can still give me the link on facebook and I will boycott the referal. Stop being conscious of money. This is one problem we nigerians have. By the way, him getting the 50 euros is conditional so far the person works. If not you referring the person is as good as nothing... Bro, just search nevilbot on google rather than facebook. You'll see his twitter handle (the second result). Copy the username and search for it on facebook. I hope that solves it. |
