Havesense:You keep saying fighting for freedom, but how exactly is vandalism, murders and wanton destruction of properties both private and public owned, "fight for freedom". People have this fear that if the protests end now, we will go back to being silent but I seriously doubt that. I think that these events in the country of the last few days has created a sense of awakening for the citizens of this country. I think that a break for restrategy is required at this point. Every protests has an objective request. The protests in its current form lacks this. No one even knows exactly what we're protesting for again. The message has been drowned out by the violence and vandalism. I do think we need to calm down now, restrategize, get a set of clear objectives and begin again. With the way it's going currently, more unnecessary lives are bound to be lost. |
thorrvik55:You are mentally retarded_. Because i don't understand how you will have seen the evidence of exactly what i was talking about and still type this rubbish. It is very possible that pictures of violence totally unconnected to the current issue will be concocted to appear as though it is connected to the current chaos in order to evoke anger and resentment hence my insistence on further proof of issues surrounding it not just the pictures which can be misleading. I certainly hope your brain is good enough to comprehend my post you fool. |
thorrvik55:Clearly you are mentally retarded if your response is how your brain could interpret the post you highlighted. fuck_off with your single digit IQ. |
airmark:Only in your moronic brain will sodick and his innocent brother be one and the same. Cower in shame, you bloody hypocrite. You have indeed shown yourself to be melancholic in nature. You are the one here who has severally rejoiced at other people's misfortune. My own is, stop pretending to be outraged by the violence when you have savoured it in the past. Very stupid air-headed slowpoke. |
airmark:Receipts abound, you brainless moron_. airmark: airmark: |
EarlRagnar2:If you don't want thunder to wipe you and your generation out from this earth, Show me where i did this. |
izzou: Ibime:Leave the idiots to continue to misunderstand me and let rancid emotions rule them. I have objectively stated that I unilaterally condemn violence and murder. I am only adding that people try to be sure of what they believe but leave it to ill-tempered folks to be unreasonable. The worst is that very foolish airhead who not so long ago was relentlessly mocking the oppressed victims here, now he's suddenly found his outrage. Hypocrites all abound. |
nitrogen:Ohhhooo. I saw this in the early afternoon but did not want to post it here. I'm telling people to calm down and sieve the information they get and the airheaded bastard is abusing his father. People need to try to scrutinize every information they get before they absorb them, that's my simple message. |
EarlRagnar2:You're a shameless obtuse bastard. Well guess what, when I shared the news of my tragedy, I did not share the news here to incite violence and outrage. Or to play with people's emotions, I did not expect any action whatsoever to be taken concerning the tragedy. It was devoid of intent and I even later decided to wipe it all off. We are in an era where information is weaponized and misinformation is amplified rapidly with the rise of social media. All the news we are seeing is eliciting intense emotions of anger, confusion, fear and violence. It takes a sensible voice to try to appeal for people to carefully scrutinize all the conflating information they are receiving. Propaganda is currently in full swing. You are free to disagree with me but you certainly don't need to mock my tragedy. |
airmark:Just look at this stupid moron_, still parading this very foolish narrative. How much of an imbecile_ can you be?? At least now everyone can see your hypocrisy and your fake outrage. You kept insulting him for bailing his way out and coming out alive despite knowing that some of them were cold blooded murderers. For years you were insulting him and his brother for surviving. Now you are coming here to fake outrage. You are a brainless moron_ who is air-headed. |
izzou:no wahala my man. it's just a bit frustrating seeing us all confused and apprehensive. Suddenly everyone has theory as to who is behind what. Numerous conspiracy theories being bandied about. Everyone trying to make sense of the chaos. I think it's okay to call for people to evaluate the information they receive seeing as there is a lot of confusion and misinformation out there in their dozens. |
izzou:HERE WE GO AGAIN. You did not quote the people who started to abuse their father, it is when i am dishing it back to them, you are now cautioning me. Bro, fear God. |
airmark:You are a very stupid fool. Oh, suddenly you've become strange bedfellow with sodick after your same stupid self relentlessly mocked the oppression he faced in the hands of rogue officers. Nobody is buying your fake outrage here after you have spent years denigrating the victims of oppression here. You are an e-mbecile. That you are the biggest idiot here is not news to anyone. |
SyIvalord:This is part of the problem I'm talking about. please stop dropping blanket statements and unverified news like this to stir up sensationalism. Drop a reliable source to this information so that people would be justifiably infuriated for a just cause, not hearsays. Let's combat the spread of misinformation please. |
iamoyindamola:This is my problem with you yet you will go on senselessly abusing with your rotten mouth. Can you say with certainty that the mobs who are now vandalizing properties are paid actors?? Can you state boldly that there are no protesters who have decided to take it up a notch and misdirect their anger and frustrations?? A lot of reasonable people are now cautioning that the protests has lost their aim and direction. It is now being misdirected into several meaningless avenues that is only leading to chaos, vandalism, destruction and ruin. You're eager to defend what you have absolutely no idea about. That's gullibility and folly. |
All of you mentioning me to chat rubbish and throw bile are very stupid. I am not denying the killing of citizens. I am saying we should vet the news we receive carefully before accepting them and becoming sensational. I have also fallen victim to it here on this very thread hence my apprehension. Was it not on this very thread yesterday that blueraydick shared false information about the violence before he was corrected? There is no harm in being conscious in absorbing information out there because the internet is a treasure trove of misinformation. Right now we don't know if it was even the army or the navy that caused the chaos yesterday. It's okay to be outraged at an injustice but we simply have to be absolutely sure of it. Surely that's common sense advice. I really don't know why anyone would start laying abuses, going personal and invoking my dead relatives. It's simply not okay. At this point, a lot of different things are happening in the country and no one can claim to be absolutely sure of understanding or making sense of it all or the various actors. How do we sieve out the misinformation from the facts? Let's be guided in our outrage, please. |
Jodera:Again, where is the video of such happening?? Not just pictures of the supposed deceased without accurate confirmation?? I concede that perhaps my skepticm is ill-timed in the face of such raw emotions but nothing is wrong in advocating for accurate reports and not believing fake news. |
For all those replying me with emotional diatribes, I am not saying that people weren't killed neither am i justifying the murder of anyone. I'm simply saying that there hasn't actually been sufficient evidence to show that people were killed last night at toll gate. We are in an era of misinformation, where fake news and propaganda holds sway. It's okay to be a bit skeptical till you see hard proof and evidence of said events and not just anectodes. Nobody here too has provided solid evidence to counteract my point, just emotional diatribes. I definitely condemn any act of violence but i advice everyone to let the head rule and not the heart. |
johnstar:I can understand that you feel outraged based on what you think you know but ask yourself, are you really sure you know what happened?? These pictures you are posting and sharing, how sure are you that those are victims or that they died last night? There is nothing wrong in being skeptical and objective and not letting your emotions rule you. I choose to only believe these with hard facts not anectodal evidence. |
obainojazz:That's the problem. Reports. Did you actually see this?? I feel some people are taking advantage of people's raw emotions right now. All "evidence" right now is anecdotal. |
iamJ:I thought i was the only one who was thinking this way. I've been seeing the pure outrage of everyone over soldiers killing people, but so far it's all been anecdotes. No hardcore evidence. Just randomly spread pictures which is how propaganda is run. The video i have been seeing so far shows soldiers shooting into the sky to disperse the crowds. Anyway, if indeed, soldiers have killed innocent protesters, surely they need to be brought to book. Buhari at this point needs to address the nation ASAP to assuage the masses outrage. |
Lampard is fast losing his appeal with the Chelsea fan base because of this his blatant favoritism. Is mount really a golden goose who you build your entire team around?? What does he see in Mount that we aren't seeing? The boy obviously has good potential but that's just it for now, POTENTIAL. Lampard really has to read the handwriting on the wall and see that Chelsea fans are getting frustrated seeing mount displacing players from their natural positions and playing mount out of position hence diminishing his output. Hmm, mount better performs oo. |
izzou:Everything we want to blame the federal government for. Do you know the name of your local government chairman?? Or the name of the representative of your constituency or the your councillor? Do you even know the government officials much closer to you? Do you know how much was released to your local government or your constituency and the level of execution? It's not everything you blame the federal government for. Interact more with your local government executives much closer to you first and not just the federal executives. |
nihilistjnr:But we don't just kill animals for meat, do we?? We used some of their body parts in advanced pharmacy and medical practices. we use them to also better understand our body and the natural interactions of our biochemistry. We use their skins for essential products. The trade of these animals for other purposes are very vital to man's economic development and by extension, survival. As I said earlier, we are evolving in our thoughts and beginning to recognize animal rights which results have brought about in conservation efforts, better regulations in killing of animals. By genetically modifying animals, we're essentially creating our own animal's. We basically created non reproductive breeds of some animals like broilers and layers to artificially sustain our meat and egg cravings. All these are parts of efforts to control how we kill animals because we realize it is bad doing so unnecessarily. Although, all these have no correlation with the question of the illegalization of homosexuality. |
swiz123:Listen, it's inherently disingenuous to equate homosexuality with bestiality. This is false equivalence and whataboutism at it's finest. Why would people immediately start talking about bestiality when people talk about homosexuality?? Secondly, on the issue of bestiality, it is wrong because of the issue of consent. having sex with an animal is essentially raping that animal. We as a society are now evolving in our thoughts and becoming more conscious of animal rights. Yes, killing an animal is now being seeing as bad. Milking an animal is now being seen as bad. But prominent thinkers classify it as necessary wrong, seeing as these are essential to our survival. The mechanics of the ecosystem is geared towards a pyramid with us at its peak and the same animals also eventually gaining from us. Anyways, I digress. Homosexuality has no correlation to bestiality. These are two entirely different phenomenas. False equivalence and whataboutism are not needed. A human being has a very high distinction physically, morphologically, mentally, emotionally and intellectually from other animals. Comparing both is wrong. |
Godx:This is false equivalence. Homosexuality is not the same as zoophilia or bestiality. Although it can be incest. I'm sure you well know the question of consent is vital. Moreso, homosexuality is not limited to only the act of sex. It is a broad spectrum that encompasses how one person feels towards another, not just which hole one wants to stick his deek into. Go and learn and stop being ignorant. |
Godx:Now, this is hardcore bullsh*t. First of all, what do you understand is homosexuality and why should homosexuals be imprisoned or legally killed? |
raumdeuter:You know, funny enough, I'm the one who should be pointing out that you've evolved and matured further in your thinking. ![]() After all, you're the one who is now ashamed of having supported a moron_ like trump in the first place. Also, isn't it funny that you are now the champion of gay rights after having mocked me for making pro gay statements previously? ![]() |
Godx:This is a weak line. I know it's currently a crime in Nigeria. I am asking, is it right for it to be a crime?? What is the crime homosexuals commit?? Shouldn't a law that infringes on the fundamental basic human right of an individual to freely associate with another be repudiated and excoriated? |
OJURONGBE1:Here we go again, justifying your perspective from the shallow lens of your religion. Well, guess what, there are billions of other people in the world who don't subscribe to your idea of what an ideal marriage should be and the role of each gender in the marriage. In many parts of Tibet, Nepal, India and China. The ideal for a marriage is for one woman to marry two or more men and be their property. Polyandry is their recognized tradition. I'm sure you're against having more than one man and woman in a marriage. Well, absolute shocker, many tribes and religions subscribe to the idea of numerous people in a marriage. In some native tribes in Mexico, their society is matriarchal, not patriarchal and by definition believe that females have a much stronger role to play in society than the men. The women are regarded more highly than the men there. Broaden your horizon and stop seeing things from the limited perspective of your surrounding society. Marriage practices are fluid and should not be static. |
Godx:First of all, what crimes have homosexuals commited? |
raumdeuter:You no well ooo. ![]() I am very consistent in my arguments, I don't flip flop on issues. If you think i do, post evidence. You clearly didn't understand my stance on issues before now. I say it as it is. |
