Melvyn11:You are an idiot_ who is also very stupid. Your brain is very empty hence the weak single line jab. Return to your hut. |
Greatihex:I don't know what you mean by me making it personal. I made a very factually correct statement. Everyone here knows that you are ultra religious and by default misogynistic as evidenced by your statements. I only corrected your notions. If you're offended by it, it's because you know it's the truth and you dispossess a logical rebuttal. There should not be a gender specific role in a marriage. A marriage should be built on the foundation of love and understanding and as such should work based on how the said couple sees fit not based on how society deems it fit. |
Greatihex:1. Ego is not gender specific. Some women are naturally egoistical in nature as are some men, it has nothing to do with sex or gender. 2. Is it good for a man to sit and his wife goes out to work to feed him and their childrenI don't think there is any actual marriage where you say a partner "seats at home doing nothing" while the other goes out to work for food. That you will make this statement is further testament to your misogynistic mindset. What we have had traditionally is that the man carries out the more laborious tasks to earn money while the woman organizes the household. That is not doing nothing. She does little things by the side, she carries out all domestic chores, she farmed too, she sells petty things to also do her fair share, that is not "nothing". In the modern world, women are now allowed to do any work a man can do. Both white collar and blue collar. There should be nothing like gender specific jobs. It's okay for a woman to earn more than the man. A marriage is a partnership between two people, whatever works better for them should rule not what society thinks should work in a marriage. Your anachronism induced by your religious belief fuels your misogyny. It's okay to have reversed roles. It's okay for a woman to earn more than a man. 3. Do you believe that there should be a leader in the family? If yes, who should it beNo i do not subscribe to the concept of leadership in a marriage. Again, anachronism at play here. A marriage should should be a partnership between two equals. The concept of a man being a "leader" in a marriage stems from a time when women were regarded as properties of men and largely inferior. There should be no distinction between a man and woman in a marriage purely on the basis ofgender. It is wrong. 4. What should be the role of the leader and the othersAgain, both of them can be equal leaders in their own rights. Marriage should be between two people who love themselves and as such don't mind or matter who assumes whatever role in it. Leadership is not restricted to only one gender. The other party should have as much say as the other. This works well if they are both in love with each other. The 5th question is same with the rest. Leadership is not restricted to only one gender. Both roles can be reversed. There shouldn't be a golden rule as to what should work in a marriage.. Marriage is just a social construct of man. It should be fluid. |
Ibime:That guy is just ignorant. It's simply a case of religion fuelling the hate and prejudice against homosexuals. |
raumdeuter:I agree with you here. This takes me back to an issue we had in Chelsea. A lot of people were very happy that Chelsea had the first prominent female doctor in football and believed it was a sort of achievement and great leap forward towards gender equality hence the bitterness mourinho got when he had that public altercation with her which led to her firing. Sometime ago, Rui Faria, mourinho's former long time assistant gave a comprehensive interview after landing a job in Qatar, he was asked something about the role of women in sports especially in Qatar where he was just employed and he went on detailing how a lot of Chelsea players were actually relieved to see the female Chelsea doctor leave because of how awkward the situation mostly turned out to be. A male football dressing room really isn't where a female would want to be. Some players walk around stark naked in the dressing room. I remember Ronaldo once posting an after game dressing room picture online and behind was a photo bombed chilenni stark naked with his prick showing to the whole world. That is no environment for a female team doctor, else she's ready to be subjected to dirty locker room talks or nasty shenanigans of an ultra masculine group. Rui Faria stated that some players did feel awkward with her massaging their thighs and some even having embarrassing erections and mocking themselves. It was eye opening. He said it was truly a relief for most of the players when she left, not as a question of attitude but the gender difference inflicted situations. It is going to be very tricky to integrate the two genders in a gender specific sports. It's almost impossible to say women should be more involved in men football and not be braced to encounter some forms of awkward incidents that would otherwise not be awkward. |
Unlimited22:I don't think roland17 is incorrect in his argument, he's just being extremely woke. Watching the clip severally, the optics sincerely looks a bit awkward but that is only because the lineswoman is a woman also with a small frame. The incident doesn't deserve any sort of outrage at all because there is clearly a lack of intent, it's just a reflex action that is quite common in football. This should even be a personal issue between Aguero and the lineswoman. If she feels slightly offended, Aguero should apologize and that should be the end of it. A whole lot of people wouldn't give a f*ck about that kind of light touch without intent or meaning. |
pamcode:By that, I mean neutral observers, the international community etc. |
Ibime:Both your points don't contradict each other. Nihilist says that it's very trickish for those people to have added the LGBT rights issue to the protests which is indeed true, you don't disagree with that but you argue that it is justified since others are also piling on their demands. From my point of view, this entire protest needs to end so that a lot of people can feel a sense of satisfaction with the positive results already had and savour the beauty of our unity in our clamour for change while also biding their time and bracing for future protests for other issues that needs to be addressed. Let this current protests serve as a blueprint for how we clamour for change. Right now we risk losing the support of neutrals and the international community if we allow this protest to derail form it's original concept and become hydra headed. All agendas need to stop right now. |
Greatihex:WTF is this?? You clearly possess an anachronistic mindset. You started your post very well but went downhill very fast. A woman's role isn't confined to only her marriage for her to be "submissive". Ffs, step into the 21st century where its okay for a woman to be the breadwinner of the family. You can't continue to subject yourself to millennia old traditional thinking. We must continue to evolve in our thinking and culture. That statement is very offensive to all women. Both partners in a marriage should be "submissive" to themselves and not one to the other. |
izzou:I swear down, one can't truly understand a situation like he who wears the shoe that pains. Sometime ago when i watched the news and saw some people run down black lives matter protesters who were obstructing movement with their cars in America, I was like what kind of heartless barbarity is that?? But after spending 5 hours in traffic yesterday because of these fools who don't even know what the're protesting again, my perspective became very much clearer on how those people felt. At this point, I am asking why we don't just take the win so far and chill and watch how things progress from here. In America, after the death of George Floyd, millions of people all over the world, came out in support and solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Trump didn't even pay close attention, he kept screaming law and order but at least he held dialogues with police Chiefs that led to slight reforms on police manhandling. Before you knew it, the protests started getting derailed to other issues that had nothing to do with the original intent of the protest Good or bad as they might have been), People started defacing all revered monuments, started blocking highways and calling for a total abolishment of the police force. At that point, normal people lost interest and the zeal to still protest and 4 months later, you still have some people protesting for God knows what. The protests are thoroughly unrecognizable from how it started. Everyone is now tired of seeing all these protests in America now that have even turned violent in many cases and would rather the whole thing stopped for now. We in Nigeria need to learn from that. The protests were very honorable to begin with, with a very simple message #END SARS. The international community has rallied behind us and the government has responded swiftly too. They have banned the unit and assured that the unit is now rendered defunct with reformation for it's members. We have to take this win and bide our time, now the protests are being hijacked with all sorts of agenda from different people. The protests are gradually progressing to riots, the protesters are now a nuisance to the average citizen on the road. These protests have to end now. LET'S TAKE THE WIN AND BIDE OUR TIME. Else normal people will lose the zeal to continue to support us. |
pryme:Not surprised that you lack adequate comprehension skills. You are one of the most foolish posters here. Go back to using your alternate account. |
sexylassie2:You're a LovePeddler and an ugly witch paired with that monster dumb basilico. |
Timiofak:You are a fool and an idiot for replying that witch softly. Someone who called you a pussy_ Man up and disgrace that ugly witch. |
sexylassie2:Once again, you're a very stupid witch. How on earth can you believe this nonsense?? These are the kind of things white segregationists used in validating and rationalizing their racism but Lo and behold, here we have a very young black witch who hates herself soo much and suffers from mental inferiority complex that she regurgitates the same racist theories used to subjugate her forefathers. What a curse to the black race you are. Very uglylassie. |
PrideofLincoln1:That ugly witch is very stupid. after reading that post, I was like, what the fuck_ did i just read? All these black Trump supporters are just people who hate themselves for being black. How on earth do you support a party that has ONLY ONE BLACK REPRESENTATIVE over the one that has far more inclusive and diverse representation? How sooo stupid can these folks be? |
sexylassie2:You are an ugly witch and you are very stupid. It takes a special kind of stupid to type the rubbish you just did. Very ugly beast. |
basilico:very dumb basilico, why do you always go to rubbish far right sources to get your news?? Is it to get your daily dose of propaganda and conspiracy theories?? Try listening to seasoned unbiased journalists like Christian Amanpour, Jake Tapper, wolf blitzer, Chris Wallace. These are the best Pulitzer award winning seasoned journalists out there. Not the rubbish you listen to or read from. Switch from dumb dumb to smart intellectualism. |
Palehair:I swear, I'm disappointed. What makes you support him? |
Palehair:Are you a Trump supporter?? |
izzou:Port Harcourt na better jungle. If there's one place that really needs Sars, it's portharcourt. That place is a civilian war zone. 2 out of every 5 youths is bound to enter one cult or the other, not to talk of their politicians that are proud card carrying members of the cult. Elections there na by who bloody pass. |
Amoto94:I don't think I have misjudged the situation. Currently there are pictures on twitter of some people in the northern states defending Sars. furthermore, show me any picture of any protest going on in any northern state, apart from the federal capital. I'm just saying we need to be united in the face of adversity. Right now, the protest is predominantly a southern thing. The victims of the protests also seem to be predominantly from the south. |
A40:the dangers of leaderless protests is that they can easily be hijacked and derailed. Every protest needs to have a recognizable face that can be bargained with else the government or powers that be can easily squash the process. For instance, these protests raging on now that is beginning to turn violent can give the government (federal or state) easy and legitimate reason to declare state of emergency and that will be the end of the protest seeing as there is no centralized figure to bargain with. |
iamoyindamola:After this kind of brouhaha and upheaval, something is bound to be different this time. The international community is now at the forefront of this. Various credible Human Rights associations have now been made aware of this. There is no doubt in my mind that something will fundamentally change now. |
nihilistjnr:Well, at least the change has to start from somewhere. It's left for the youths to recognize this small win and push further. They can begin a campaign against road side military men that seek bribes. |
BlueAngel444:The current light situation is currently the best it's ever been. In my vicinity, we now have at least 12 hours of light every single day. I have not used my power bank in more than 2 months. |
A40:I agree with you. I really was made to see that Sars is beyond reform. I'm very impressed that the Nigerian youths found their voice and it was heard. One hopes that this will be the first step of many towards achieving a sane society. Fingers crossed to see further developments. Although there is a slight cause for concern that only one part of the country actively campaigned for this while the other half were docile. Going further we need the entire country to fight together for a common goal. There is strength in unity. |
raumdeuter:I think what is happening now is the release of pent up anger and frustration. For years airmark has mocked sodick on the treatment he faced in the hands of Sars and sodick is now using this unique moment for retribution. ![]() Anyways, make una sheath una swords abeg. You guys have gone too deep already. |
Timiofak:Indeed Timi. When I watch CNN, I know they are already preaching to the choir because they are simply echoing my thoughts. I watch prime time with Cuomo, Anderson 360 and tonight with Don Lemon. But I prefer switching to tonight with Tucker Carlson, ingraham angle, life, liberty, levin and hannity tonight. Watching Fox is the same as watching a horror film in the sense that the beauty of it is challenging yourself not to captured by it. |
AbdulSleeky:The guy's channel is a treasure trove of information on a vast array of issues. He even won an Emmy this year ontop the one he already had for his show. My pain is knowing that many right wing people miss out on his shows because they totally mistrust all other contents not on right wing networks. I hate when one conditions himself to think in just one direction. Myself for instance, I love watching Foxnews, I always challenge myself to see what it is that radicalizes some people. I like to know their train of thought and the process of their radicalism. |
minnet:You clearly didn't watch the whole video and i beg you to do that. The videos are a treasure trove of accurate historical information. His partisanship has nothing to do with the message sent. Secondly, nobody ever said racism ended with the election of Obama. That is just right wing garbage talking point. The election of Obama was seen as a step in the right direction. It was one more step towards all black people and minority groups finally getting equality under law. Thirdly, the difference between Obama and Trump is one's ability to douse or quell tension when there is strife. I remember after a major deadly race shooting incident, Obama attended the burial of the victim, urged everyone to sing amazing grace with him and sued for peace, admonished the police to walk with protesters and make sure it was absolutely peaceful. That is how you know a non divisive leader. Now compare that to when George Floyd was killed, if trump had read the mood initially and immediately condemned the murder and sued for immediate arrest of the perps and commiserated with the black community, instead of being aggressive towards the initial protesters and inflaming tensions by typing a racist epithet, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. His lack of emotional leadership was laid bare. |
ZooOga:The most painful sight i can ever see is the sight of a black man proudly waving a confederate flag. that has to be the height of stupidity. I once watched a documentary of how some black slaves who were raped by their masters were actually happy to be raped because some of them saw it as a privilege to be bedded by a white man. Of course, there must always be a Judas and a fool in every group. Such a pity. |
Ibime:Very revealing interview. SARS needs to go back to their original concept indeed, if that is possible. Away from the public eye. The kind of backlash i received on my whatsapp and twitter feed today no be here when I was calling for a reform. I was inundated and bombarded with stories and videos of numerous victims of SARS brutality. I was deeply sympathetic to what I saw. I sure hope a solution is found soonest. That outfit has done some terrible things. |
