The Fintiba confirmation i got when i opened the account stated an amount of 8729euros, but the remainder i got stated a sum of 8829euros. Hope i will get a confirmation if the initial sum is paid? Pls those have passed this stage, should help out.

One tip for you: don't book for your ticket too earlier. I discovered on wakanow that its more expensive flying to Frankfurt when u book 6 weeks in advance (cheapest and most convenient I got was 207k approximately, Royal Air Maroc with one stop over at casablanca, 9hrs 30mins for total time of flight) than when you book 1 or 2 weeks in advance (cheapest I got was 185k, same airline, same route, same number of stopovers and total time of flight). Please everyone could experiment this and give feedbacks, thanks. But this was what I discovered when I experimented with booking on wakanow last week.

PS: Please if anyone has another cheaper better way of booking kindly post here. Thanks in advance.

I think it's high time "The German Embassy Lagos" come out with an Apology Letter which should also contain an Explicit Reason why they can't

refer Students to the The German Embassy Abuja when they barely or hardly receive VISA Applicants there in ABJ.

What is there Justification for allocating the whole "German Embassy in Abuja" to Politicians, Diplomats, and SSS.

This can never happen in Europe, USA or in the developed world.

Can't they attend to Students @ the The German Embassy Abuja and also attend to those Greedy politicians (Giving them Priority)?

Why must student suffer for all their unreasonable policies.

Find a notary public who has an official seal.. Mere rubber stamp is not sufficient.

Please ensure that the document is NOT only notarized with merely a rubber stamp. A simple ink stamp is insufficient! Official seals are usually round and contain an emblem. A notary without such a seal is not qualified to notarize your documents! You will have to find an authority with an official seal to notarize your documents!

They do..I used it..But each page must be certified that is two stamps, two signatures..note: on each page

Go to German Embassy.. TUM don't accept high court certifications.

Good day house, I applied to TUM as well as another school via uniassist.after a while TUM sent me a mail stating my documents did not meet certification criteria as there ought to be a seal and not just an ink stamp.I certified my documents at the court and uniassist accepted theirs and have forwarded my application to the university. How do I go about recertifying my documents to meet TUM standard as I do not want to use a Notary body as the cost will be too much on me.

The booking situation is that German Embassy stated it clearly as follows:

"Please note that studentvisa appointments are already booked out in September. Hence only students with enrolment deadline from November 15th, as well as scholarship holders would get appointment dates."

Many students are not able to get appointment dates till now.

Abuja Office has it's own designated duty clearly stated on their website. Be polite while asking for a favour.

Eldeee u are so right. What incompetence on d part of german embassy nigeria to say they are fully booked. Only in Nigeria do we get trash. Just imagine. Do they know the stress involved in getting admission, opening blocked account, getting almost 4million naira and they go to their site to write trash about being fully booked. Instead of meeting up wit demand, they give lazy excuses. Even America that pulls the highest crowd has neva put such rubbish on their site. That is wat we get being in a lawless country like Nigeria. German embassy was established in Nigeria to serve the masses, both poor and rich so if they have agents on nairaland please advice them to make use of the embassy in abj for students and other visas that have deadlines and stop giving excuses on their incompetence. Or better still close down abj office.

@donkafor... Please do you know of any bank still accepts form A for tuition/living expenses. My bank(GTB) refused to process mine and told me it can only be transferred to the Uni's account, despite showing them an invoice from the school. With the look of things.. blue market is the only alternative which is not that easy to get.

1.Mail your school about extension of enrollment deadline.
No one here can tell you if your school can extend.

2. NO OTHER WAY. September is already filled up in Lagos.

My enrollment date is October 1. I am yet to receive my final acceptance letter but have the conditional acceptance letter. Yet to open blocked acct too.

Here's the thing.. I checked embassy's website only to find out that there are no appointments for September any longer and only for those with enrollment date from November 15..

I read here that I can ask my school for an extension of enrollment to apply..

My questions now are -

1 - Can the school extend enrollment for me from October 1 to November 16? Is this feasible and practicable from any one's experience?

2 - Is there another way I can still get an appointment date in September?

Zenith charged 405 last month. Don't know the current amount. Actually, form A is sanctioned in USD at 360 per dollar. That's CBN set price. The money will be converted from USD to EUR at the point of entry.

At least, it's still going contrary to some people's claim.

Pls guys, form A is messed up. Went to Union bank to use it and after the calculation I was left with no option than to opt for blue market at 417 exchange. CBN is totally messed up with this currency convergence and their failure to review the Form A rate downwards. The blue market gives me 3.602880million but the Form is 363million. Total rubbish!!

BTW, I've been told by these banks you mentioned that form A is no longer used for payments being made into an account that's not in the name of an institution like a school (for school fees) or a hospital (for medical bills) or any other institutions of such sort.

Up until April 2017 form A was possible. But I doubt it is now. They claim CBN just released a new policy to this effect. Since the blocked accounts (both DB and Fintiba) are in our names, it makes it almost impossible to use FORM A now.

Please if anyone has funded recently (this month of July) in a cheap way other than FORM A, kindly just let us know. Please please and please! Thanks in advance.

Seems you have enough money to be calling Germany regularly. Once you are booked, you will given every detail via email. Emailing Student Service regularly too will cause confusion.

Seems you are the one shifting your interview dates.

Thought I had been given one as well. Only for me to call them and they're saying the lady who put me for July 28 gave me an in-person interview even when she told me it was a Skype interview.

I taught you have been booked for interview. Writing student service gives generalized answers. Interviews are conducted via Skype or Phone for international students.

They have assessed your transcript and will see if there's any error there.

Thank you so much. I'll do 1 and 2. I'm not so sure about 3 because I currently have 75 points but I need 88 for direct admission. Though I realized they made an error with my GPA and I emailed them to correct it, so I'm waiting to hear from them. So if they change the GPA it might boost my points up for direct admission.
