Thank you.

krone101:
I think old school ID card can serve same purpose. E.g Secondary School ID card if older than 5years.

Quick question:

After interview, the embassy requested for another biographically old documents (older than 5 years) as baptismal card is required as a separate document.

Which other document can be used as vaccination card and voter's card cannot be seen?

Anyone with recent experience should please answer as the embassy gave a deadline.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by donkafor(m): 6:47pm On Jul 22, 2019
Talking about deferment in July is still very early. There is still enough time and dates might still be available. Also, school starting September or October doesn't mean you must be in Germany on the said date. My school started October but I arrived Germany in November. Some of my friends arrived December and few January.

I will advise people to enroll online if your school allows that. Even if they don't, plead to be allowed for online enrollment. Once you're enrolled, you'll have access to course materials online and you can study from Nigeria. Also, embassy will come out with another strategy of who passed his or her enrollment deadline. Once, you're enrolled you're already a student and embassy can issue you visa anytime and you won't be caught up by the pressure of enrollment deadline.

I wish everyone good luck grin
sassy92:
We've said this so many times on this thread. If your start date is October you might not get a date coz August and Most of September is likely booked out. Your best solution is to mail your school and ask for extension up till November. If your school refuses to extend your enrolment, you may have to defer.

Yesterday is still very early to be worried. You'll be contacted in few days time. I wish you the best. grin
Toluwase100:

Hmmmm.... I'm really hopeful.
I did the Interview yesterday
I think the normal thing is once one passes the interview, it's automatic admission, which one is analysing again? Although the lady said the just need to complete some formalities, I was thinking they were just trying to compile all admitted students or they are forwarding them to the Management

I applied for Research on Teaching and Learning
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by donkafor(m): 10:20pm On Jul 18, 2019
When did you complete the interview?
Normally, acceptance or rejection mails are sent within 3 days after the interview (though they will tell you 2 weeks). Since you have not received any email from them, it simply means that you passed though not with excellent points. So they are analyzing other students' performance and will make decision depending on the number of students.

You just have to be patient. I wish you good luck. grin
Which course did you apply at TUM?

Toluwase100:
Good afternoon, I had my interview with TUM and I mailed the course adviser and he replied that I should be patient for their final decision and he also stated that I achieved the necessary points for an admission.
So I want to ask, is it possible to pass the interview and still get rejected
This patience is really killing.....

Send an inquiry email to the embassy via student (at) lago.diplo.de or Info (at) lago.diplo.de

Hallo leute, it's been over 6 weeks since my visa interview and I am getting anxious, if I want to inquire about the status of my application, do I mail the foreign office of my school or the embassy here in Lagos?
N.B my interview was on May 29, B.A funded 3 days after the interview due to bank delay and the deadline is October 4th.

You'll receive an email (Approval Mail, AM) from the embassy requesting for your passport and travel insurance once your visa is approved. That's their normal procedure.
Boss733:

Anybody please reply.
Why are they not collecting the international passport original booklet at the embassy during interview? Or when will they ask for it.

Please someone should assist me

You can go for MSc Informatics, MSc Data Science, MSc Data Analytics, MSc Data Engineering and Analytics and that's the sexiest job of the 21st century. Many schools here are offering them and they're not difficult to find on DAAD website.

Since you've paid your enrollment fee and submitted your Student Health Insurance with all documents required for enrollment at the Technische Universität München, you're enrolled and don't have enrollment deadline again.

Confirm from the schools you wanna apply if they will accept English language proficiency letter. If yes, it will save you over ₦60,000. If not, write IELTS. I wish you good luck.

I answered the questions asked about unblocking. N26 is a necessity for someone who just arrived. How do the person open a German bank account when they don't have Anmeldung and urgently need to unblock? N26 can do that for you.
uchezdedon:

Why should people consider using N26 at this stage. N26 is a wonderful bank but i don't think it's a good idea for someone who don't have another German account to use them.

Reason: how do u deposit to N26 when u arrive Deutschland, and don't have another German account?
Any withdrawal attracts charges so how do u start with that as a new person in Deutschland.

And how fast can one unblock with them...
Thanks
N26 is an online bank. I have used the Acc for more 10 months now and they are really good. It's also easy to open and it will help you unblock faster.

For those who recently got their visas, may Deutschland favor you speedily.

For those waiting for AM, may it arrive speedily.

You want to evade consumer tax and you know it's punishable in the UK and EU. I will advise you to buy directly from their website. That's what I did.

It actually depends on the method she used for booking. Is it via Airline's website, wakanow or an agent? She should read up their rebooking policy.

Hello guys, Guten Morgen

Please my friend booked a flight with RAM for 28th but something came up so she wants to extend it to first week of April, please is that possible.

You're not behind schedule for TUM. March 31st is only the recommended date for international students and not the application deadline. Application deadline is May 31st.
The only difference is that for the former, you get your admission early and can process your visa early too.

Also, you can use English language proficiency letter in place of IELTS in some schools. Contact your school for more clarification.

Ayohbk:

Thanks bro, I really appreciate. I noticed that I'm behind schedule for TUM too. I'll be going to the immigration office in Lagos on Monday, I don't mind giving them their food(bribe) to get it done ASAP. If it's not possible, I'll find a way to get to Abuja. I have a soft copy(picture) of the lost passport on my phone, if possible I can use it to proceed with the registration for IELTS on Monday. Thanks, really appreciate your input.

Thank you. I just registered for PTE Academic.
Mille:

I did. I wrote mine at the University of Goettingen (I don't study there though, but it's the closest to me).

I was probably helped by my experience with the Erasmus language tests which is similar to IELTS (I had to compulsorily write it four times due to nature of my program).

PM replied.

@Mille,

Did you write your IELTS in Germany? I am planning to write IELTS or going to Berlin to write PTE Academic next month. I was nominated for academic exchange at University of Queensland Business School by TUM SOMex. Since I already have BEng Mechanical Engineering, I plan to use PR instead of student visa as I still have till February 2019.

Will like to connect with you so as to hit 20 points in either IELTS or PTE Academic here in Germany.
