Thank you Zany!
zanyzara:
Since your CDR is based on professional experience, you need to provide reference letter whether you assess work experience or not. If you can get reference letter better, if not, you can include letter of explanation and attach all the documents that you have.

I don't really get your second question.

Whatever you do or claim, be ready to provide verifiable evidence as you might be asked.

Zany.

Greetings,

For Engineers in house who assessed via EA, I plan accessing as a Professional Mechanical Engineer in January. For someone assessing only qualification and not work experience, do reference letter matter. My 2 Career Episode will be based on the work though. I have appointment letter, resignation letter, payslips, acceptance of resignation, appraisal letter.

Also, I have 2 years 10 months verifiable work experience before I resigned. The other work experience is not verifiable as I am not in contact with them and not around now. Can anything fly here?

Your help will be greatly valued and appreciated.

It mustn't be second week. You will be contacted to provide proof of financial resources before any rejection.

The earlier the better though.
ayomeah:

Just go with your blocked account details for the visa interview. When asked source of funding, answer with the source you intend using when you opened the blocked account. But make sure you get your sponsorship letter across to the consulate by the second week after the visa interview to avoid rejection.
I know someone who did something like that and it worked for the person

1. It's nothing. People did same and were successful.

2. While filling your application form, fill BLOCKED ACCOUNT.
Also, on the interview day, tell them it's blocked account. When asked if you have a relative in Germany or EU, answer Yes, an uncle in Berlin or whatever. It will ease the substitution later.

3. If you know anyone in mainland, you can stay mainland and use cab very early morning. You will pay only 2 - 3k. Hotels in VI are costly. Ensure you leave home at least 5am.

Goodluck grin
seeker63:

1) How do I go about using my blocked account details for the interview and later submitting my sponsorship letter when I get it without complicating issues for myself (read about a similar situation on this thread but can't locate precisely the page that is).

2) When asked about my means of sustenance on the application form, should I fill blocked account or sponsorship (considering my above situation).

3) On a lighter mood, how did you guys that have already gone for the interview sort out hotel accommodation issues (as par high pricing on the Island) cos I intend to be in Lagos a day before my D-day to avoid stories that touches(Lagos recent traffic and fuel palaver)..

Thanks

Please guys,
I made a mistake while registering online for one of the schools i applied to and the school my first choice.
The school is FAU, I mistakenly entered my suname in place of my middle name.

I entered;

IGWE JUDE IGWE instead of
IGWE JUDE ONYEKA. IGWE is my surname.

Will this pose any issues for me?
I have sent the technical support team an email for the error but they are yet to reply. Should i send another mail directly to the school?

I need to know if am overacting or not please.
Thanks.

Not N26 Bank App.. Register on TransferWise via the link and download TransferWise app. Nigeria is available via TransferWise app but not on N26 App.

I use N26 too and the attached is my last transaction. Your mastercard is okay for the transaction.

You can use TransferWise. It's really cool.

My last transaction is attached for your review.

Jigba:
Hallo,

I need someone who lives in Germany to help me transfer money to a Nigerian account.

I would transfer the equivalent to your account. My n26 online account doesn't let me send money to Nigeria.

If you could do this for me, kindly quote me or send me a pm. Thanks in anticipation smiley

@Tinder,

No need to worry. Your money is save. For passport, you will only need it for legitimation here in Germany before you access your money. Your passport will be scanned so, it's either you go with the old and new passports or send mail to Fintiba via support@fintiba.com informing them of passport change. Attach both scanned copies and they will do the needful before 2 working days.

I prefer the latter.

Student discount depends on the office in charge.

For Abuja, I paid 13k during my application while another office in Lokoja collected 11.9k.

As a tourist, were you able to clarify your true intentions at the embassy? Do you have home ties to show you will come back?

To be eligible for the Master's Programme at most universities, CGPA value has to be 2,50 or better (better means smaller).

Advice: Apply for another BSc. You might also try non-competitive universities for MSc. Package your application very well.

Nothing stops you from applying to Master of Science in Power Engineering at TUM. It's a very nice program and people are doing it. Besides, you have the power experience.
Make sure you get your reference letters from professors and compose a nice statement of purpose.

Remember to apply to other schools and/or other courses at TUM as Plan B, Plan C et al.

Don't let the fear of rejection or competition make you not to try.

I wish you good luck. grin

Any can serve. Computer preferred

Chose single room.

1. Should the visa application form ideally be filled by pen or computer?

2. It asks how I will be accommodated, but I'm yet to secure an accommodation, so which should I select? (see image below)

If you have library card, course registration form, vaccination card, local government registration etc older than 5 years,
you can add it. Submit all docs available to you.
Blackanada:

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

@bolded: my worry is that if I use my old passport as the biographically old document, they might misunderstand why I submitted photocopies of 2 different passports (both old and new one).

Once again, thanks for your response. #Appreciated

Hello People.
I need advice.. I passed out from secondary school 2015...i have been trying Nigerian universities, precisely Unilorin(medicine ),but luck hasn't been on my side. This year's admission into a Nigerian university is very slim for me. Thinking of going to Goethe or any private language German school, so that I will apply for winter 2018....
My question is taking jamb again or going to the lang school or a private uni here in Nigeria (which I can't afford) ...i really want to go to Germany guys

MY ADVICE grin grin grin

In order to study in Germany for undergraduate, you need to attend a studienkolleg course because Germany requires 13 years of education and we, as Nigerians, have only 12. Studienkolleg is like the 13th year. This course is generally for 1 year.

In the T-Kurs, they are taught Maths, Physics, Computer science, Chemistry and, most importantly, German.

You learn all these subjects completely in German and at the end of one year, you take an exam known as the Feststellungsprüfung(FSP). If and when you pass, you then apply to the university of your choice. Keep in mind, clearing the FSP doesn't mean that you're automatically admitted to the university. You have to apply again.

The general rule is that there is one studienkolleg for every state. Every University in that state is related to that particular Studienkolleg.

Requirements for admission- B1/B2 depending on the university is a must.

Now for the Studienkolleg, there is also an entrance test known as the Aufnahmeprüfung. It comprises of German and Maths. You need to clear this entrance test to attend the studienkolleg.

All in all, LANGUAGE > APPLICATION to the studienkolleg for the entrance test > clear the AUFNAHMEPRÜFUNG > study at the STUDIENKOLLEG for 1 YEAR > clear the FESTSTELLUNGSPRÜFUNG > Apply to the UNIVERSITY for Bachelor's will take more than 3 years.

Best route is to National Open University of Nigeria. Study there for one year and use their year one transcript and apply to MEDICAL RELATED COURSES.

If the passport is older than 5 years, then no worries.

You will not be rejected cos of primary school certificate.

Goodluck grin
Blackanada:

Please boss give your input.

1. Can my old passport serve as my biographically old document?

2. Will I be rejected if I don't have primary school certificate. Is it a necessity?
And if, so can the fact that I'm funded by German government help?

All information needed about application processes can be found on their website. Read them first, then come here and ask questions if need be.

Meanwhile, apply to as many courses as you can.
