IslamRe: Beautiful Ramadhan Reminder by donlet(op): 7:18am On Jul 22, 2012
Dr. Zakir Naik gives some tips and advice for the month of Ramadan!

12 Things to Avoid during Ramadan

1. Dont sleep during the day and pray all night. By doing this you are converting the day into night and the night into day, which is not the purpose of fasting.
2. Avoid being lazy and inactive during the day.
3. Dont waste time playing games during the day. Rather, please Allah by increasing in your worship of him..
4. Avoid having Iftar parties. Ramadan wasnt meant to be a food extravaganza.
5. Dont ask your wife to spend Ramadan in the Kitchen. Eat something light and quick - she isnt Biryani woman.
6. Spend the last 10 days worshipping Allah rather than trying to prepare for Eid! A day that is better than a thousand months is in these last 10 days. You can't afford to miss this.
7. Dont stay awake the full night. Your body has a right over you, and when it wants rest, then rest.
8. Avoid excessive socialising after Taraweeh
9. Avoid shopping a lot in Ramadhaan.
10. Dont eat the full night.
11. Dont loiter around at night rather than worshipping Allah.
12. Eid doesnt require loads of preparation. Dont fall into this trap! Keep it simple, and it will be blessed.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Assalaam Alaykoum Wa RahmatuLlah Wabarakatouh.
Dear brother in Islam, May Allah reward you abundantly for your eagerness to draw near to Him.
We invoke Almighty Allah to enable us to reap the fruits of the blessed month, accept our acts of worship,
and grant us forgiveness and immunity against the punishment of Hellfire.

It is noteworthy that the month of Ramadan is a blessed month and an opportunity for all Muslims to draw near to Allah,
to increase their morality and spirituality, and to gain abundant reward.

Ramadan is meant for our moral and spiritual training and for the purification of our bodies, minds, and souls.
This is an annual training program for all believers.
It is a special time to get closer to Allah and to seek His blessings and bounties.
It is a time to learn taqwa (fear of Allah), piety, self-discipline, and patience.
It is a time to give more charity and become more generous.
It is a time to seek Allahs forgiveness and to forgive each other.
It is a time to be thankful to Allah for His gifts and bounties and especially His gift of iman (faith).

We urge you, brothers and sisters, not to miss any day of fasting and not to miss any moment of this month in trivialities.
This is a very precious time, and Allah will give us many benefits if we use it in the proper way.

RAMADHAN MUBARAK TO YOU ALL.

Nasheed by Ahmed Bukhater.

RAMADHAN

Ramadhan has came and fasting has begun
Bringing joy to everyone at all times

Glorifying Allah, pious, submissive
Muslims, faithful and worshipping Allah

It's our month of fasting, liberty and honest piety
Our day is of patience with tears of fears

It's the body of reformation
It is prevention from obscenity
It paves the way for forgiveness, its morals is a dressing purity
My brother in Islam
Don't kill your sound heart

And avail of Ramadhan, the month of benevolence
As long as you are living.

As-Salam Alaykoum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

BusinessRe: Small Scale Business Venture That Can Fetch At Least N2000 Daily. by donlet(m): 2:44pm On Jun 30, 2012
@G Dex you have to be careful on the type of business models you will follow most especially if you have not been involved in any kind of business before. The result Mr A will get is usually different from Mr B even under the same business environment. The very reason why most businesses fail after two years for those that are able to make it upto that is lack of training and learning from people that are already doing the right thing. You alone know what you have passion for that you can turn in money. Or simply find something may be a service that sombody is already providing think of how to provide same at a cheaper rate and bingo! you are on your way to making even more than 2,000 naira a day.

FamilyRe: Which Do You Support: Marrying The One You Love Or Loving The One You Marry by donlet(m): 5:50pm On Jun 27, 2012
The earlier people start trusting their parent the better. Well since the situation is like this you have to love the one you marry. This is the hardest form of relationships but if the people involed can be patient to make things work for them, this type of marriages always last longer than the love marriage.
RomanceArranged Marriage: Does It Work In Nigeria At All? by donlet(op): 4:49pm On Jun 23, 2012
So time ago i read about arranged marriage and it was said to be the best. It is usually common among muslims, indians and chinese. Just wondering why some people continue to say they can not find spouses when they can actually be guided in their choice making to find a spouse for a long lasting marriage
RomanceRe: How To Make A Man Worship The Grounds You Walk On. by donlet(m): 9:58am On Jun 19, 2012
pronysha: A friend of mine today asked me to share my secret to keep a Nigerian man happy. Well just a d-brief am a 27year old lawyer that is about to get married to an Igbo man. Well am a person that always wants to take control all the time, and that is the problem with most woman, before I went out with My soon to be Husband (it feels sooooo good to say that.) I had 2 failed long relationships and I just could not understand what I was doing wrong. My Mother always told me to be submissive and I always told her I was.
Until one day when I just got frustrated and sat my mum down to explain to me what submission was in a way that I could understand. As a lawyer am obliged to know the bible by heart and I knew what it said about being submissive.
My way of submission (as I thought) was listening to my man and doing part of what he told me to, cooking for him and winning all the fights, driving him crazy in bed and demanding for respect, but boy was I wrong.
My mother said to me, “do you have a boss at work”? And I thought she was just trying to make me look stupid coz she knew I was not the owner of the firm I worked for, but I still gave her an ans, “yes mum…I do”. And she was like, “when he gives you an assignment what do you do?" I was like, “I have to do it of course”. And she asked me again to say, “what if it’s something you don’t like but it has to do with your job?" And I was like, “well his my boss so I just have to do it”. And then she asked “well.. what if his wrong and you know his wrong and you just have to let know that and make him see your point of view, so do you do then?" and I said “I will go to his office, sit him down, explain it to him as calm and as respectful as possible for him to hear me out, and see where am coming from”. And she said “so you are so submissive to your boss haa?….the same way you look at your boss and treat him with respect and grace that's how you treat your man".
And with my new man, in my mind I had to tell my self that to some extent his my boss, and even though he would make me so mad at times, instead of me runing down on him like hell fire, I always sit him down and speak to him in a calm and respectful manner as I would with my boss at work, I’ll cook regardless of how exhausted iam, I make him happy in bed, I listen and do as he tells me and in return he adores me and no matter what I ask he goes out of his way just to make me happy.
So ladies, as much as we want to say we are the bosses of our selves, we can never be, coz God was not a fool to say we will be under a man, you can still take control of your relationship when you show and prove to your man that you are indeed worthy of it.
I hope I did not offend some people with this post.
it is not rocket science! i most men will try to treat you the way you treat them. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
