The reason why the milatary is successful is beacause there was a major overhauling of personnel with Brigade formations in the south being transferred to the North East where there ll be sympathy towards defeating BH because of sentimental attachments. #BuhariShowUsYourCertificate

PoliticsRe: How John Kerry, Netanyahu Got Jonathan To Vote Against Palestine-uk Guardian by donmalcolm21(m): 6:07pm On Dec 31, 2014
SirShymex:
It is not even only about abstaining, it's about promising from the get-go to add the one needed vote to the equation, only for them to change at the last minute. Hence the backlash. That's just betrayal and international policy failure. At least, the intentions of the rest were known from the beginning. And if they had known Nigeria would abstain - I doubt they would've drafted the bill in the first place. GEJ just nuked the image of the country, and Nigeria will never be trusted again. Reliability is important.

This also isn't about supporting Arabs or Muslims, it's about following through with your word/promise. And since a country like Nigeria isn't that strong on the international scene, it will always need other people's support - this is going to destroy all that. Why did they even give Nigeria a seat at the UN in the first place? - they should've given that seat to either South Africa, Angola, or Ethiopia. Heck, even Ghana would've done a better job.
international politics involve give and take. What will Nigeria benefit from a Palestinian state when it also has seccesionist group in its own backyard. A vote for a Palestinian state means that other seccessionist group in Nigeria will up their campaign and also table their resolution before the UN. We need to know that abstinence is the best becasue China has the record for the most abstinence on UN resolutions and it has helped them to be *I m not an Enemy nor a Friend*

Thank you. I am not on nairaland to insult anybody, I am only here to voice out my concerns and the importance of changing the present situation in the country. Buhari/Osinbajo will definitely not put food on my table, but their national pragmatic policies in all the vital sectors in the country will no doubt create more jobs.

Don't be angry if I might have offended your sensibilities in anyway.. I am a responsible die-hard Buhari supporter, we just want to do things differently this time around, that's why our voices are already reaching all the nukes and crannies in the country.

barcanista:
Muhammadu Buhari has no control over fanatics just as your dad have no control over the tout next door. What links Buhari with fanatics? He never mobilised them to take to the street at any time neither did he promise hell before or after the election. Instead, it was a PDP man lawal Kaita that promised to make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan-He wasn't arrested or questioned. Buhari condemned the action on the 20/04/2011, the violence started 18/04/2011 but grew worse on the 19th. What else should Buhari have done? What action did the Police and Military take to abate it? What is the job of the President?
A word from GMB denouncing violence then would have gone a long way to abate the violence. Remember this quote *Evil triumph when good men keep silent*

PoliticsRe: Buhari Will Not Probe Past Leaders – Oyegun by donmalcolm21(m): 11:01pm On Dec 29, 2014
barcanista:
Bros, that some fanatics went about killing people does not translate to Buhari. Jonathan being the President and Commander-in-chief was responsible for security of lives and properties. Moreso, INEC and FG were supposed to provide security to the NYSC members that participated all over Nigeria including the North. They failed, Buhari condemned it, he asked supporters to be law abiding on that day and was captured publicly. Bros, what else should he have done? Will you blame the Imams for the action of Boko Haram? Will you blame the Pastor for the action of that Christian fanatic in Sweden?
The FG has a share of blame but for example if I misbehaves my dad's responsibilty is to caution me and stop me from disturbing the peace but if it gets out of his hand he ll invite outside help like the law enforcement agencies. In my place there is an adage that goe thus *Okenyi ana ha ano nu ulo ewu amu nwa na ogbiri*

Well what happened in 2011 post election madness was unfortunate, however, Muhammadu Buhari was not silent. He condemned it
On that day of the crisis I was listening to a phone- in programme on COOL FM when a man called and he was crying that he has been in touch with his brother in Bauchi where the massacare was going on, the man said the mob pursued the brother and some people into police station that as at the time he was calling again the brother's number was ringing and nobody was picking the call. The man was asking the OAPs in COOL FM to help him to contact the security agencies and also ask Buhari to talk to his boys. The cry of that man changed a lot of things in my mind.

When did you consider voting Muhammadu Buhari?
I've been voting GMB since 2003 because of the level of impunity in the system but all that changed when he kept silent why youths were killing and destroying properties after he lost in 2011
