Thanks for the link. Katier00:I See,it was a VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT. Prisons Boss, Ibrahim Zakari Bows Out At 60 CHRISTIANA NWAOGU — Jul 25, 2014 | 4 Comments The controller general, Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS), Mr Zakari Ohinoyi Ibrahim, yesterday proceeded on voluntary retirement from the service, after attaining 35 years in service and 60 years of age, LEADERSHIP Friday can authoritatively report. While the federal government is on the lookout for a substantive successor, Alhaji Aminu Suleh is covering his duties in the interim. According to the service spokesperson, Mr Ope Fatinikun, the retired Prisons boss had WRITTEN to the president and commander-in-chief, SEEKING PERMISSION to VOLUNTARILY RETIRE after a meritorious service that has brought him to the peak of his career. “President Jonathan has accepted his reasons and instructed him to handover to the most senior officer”, he added. LEADERSHIP Friday gathered from reliable sources at the Ministry of Interior that Suleh, who is the most senior officer after Ibrahim, is likely to be confirmed as the substantive head of the Nigerian Prisons Service, while there are speculations that another serving assistant controller could be appointed to run the affairs of the service. Mr Zakari Ohinoyi Ibrahim was until his appointment as the controller-general of prisons in January 2012, the deputy controller- general of prisons in charge of the Directorate of Administration and Supplies at the Prisons Headquarters, Abuja. Born on January 1, 1955 at Kuru in Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, he transferred his service from the teaching sector to the Nigerian Prisons Service as a Chief Superintendent of Prisons (CSP) in 1989. Your email address will He is a good man, unlike an average Nigerian civil servant, who would want to perpetuate himself/herself in office. |

Idiots, always longing to destroy the effort of others. I use to think that Abagworo is more stupi.d than Chino, never knew the reverse is the case. Chino, are you sure you are a full blooded Igbo? Why trying to start a fight on this thread that i av' reading with joy and hope since weeks now?. Chino and co,can you guys just go and create a thread for e-war,and fight dirts for all i care?.must you destroy anything good in Igboland, wether Abia,Asaba,Anambra,Enugu,Ebonyi or Imo?. Go and create an e-war thread, with your cohorts, and allow sane minds, applaud and constructively criticise where necessary our leaders.you guys sucks!.tufiakwa 3 Likes |

Yes its me Donmarrius. I av' never been pro-APC,but am an activist, hence,if it is true these people were tortured to obtain confession,i TOTALLY CONDEM,as its against the law. BTW,DSS earlier said that they av' 'been' monitoring the place for weeks, before storming there.which means, they must have had enough evidence to prosecute those arrested, therefore,i see no reason for the torture. Again, those saying but they confessed may i remind you, incase you fall a victim someday, that ANY CONFESSION OBTAINED UNDER TORTURE,IS NULL AND VOID BEFORE THE LAW as the law, does not recognize 'torture' as a way of obtaining evidence, but rather proper investigation is.That is why,in a civiled society,an 'accused' is a free man, unless evidently proven otherwise. And to you Mr.liar mohammed,i av' never learn to trust you,let those tortured prove it.But if you have evidence, stop whinning like a tata, lets see you in court. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

ULSHERLAN:People like you,are those who pass wrong jugdement on others easily, without first hearing from the two sides. Because the id.ot first got to the media,to tell the world whatever he likes, shouldn't make you to abuse the security operatives who are ensuring your life and that of other Nigerians are to an extent protected. Do you know 'if' the man is a drug trafficker, using his position,to beat security unchecked?. I was in a Kenyan bound flight on August,at MMI Lagos, when NDLEA pounced on a guy from Edo state, and had the flight detained for sometime, because, they forced the guy and his Junior brother to be re-screened and re-examined,on the account of being a suspected drug lord.So what do you call that, witch hunting?.Mtchwww. You guys should grow some sense. |

omenka:Please how does DSS as part of information privy to them(because they must have had reason),being on top of security issue,an obviously wrong thing as you are trying hard to portray?. Assuming you are learned, you would av' known that the police or any other security operative, has the right to 'stop, and question anybody'.That isn't a breach of human right as Mr APC is trying to make us understand. And also,it isn't an "obviously wrong" thing,as you who wasn't there at the scene of the event,is trying to portray to us. The man said he was 'detained' for an hour.what a silly detaintion is that?.you were brought for 'perharps' questioning or intelligence gathering,do you expect them to do it in 10seconds?.Did they beat you?. I have said it earlier,Sir,if you feel you were unjustly treated,go to court.go and seek redress there. |

"Give us Biafra, and small time,we will Japan her". That's a song we always sing, and we meant every bit of it. God bless Enugu state God bless Biafra |

You were asked to step aside for some security reasons best known to them.you ain't above the law.Allow the security operatives do their work.Am sure if it were to be the French security operatives that asked you to step aside,in the cause of doing their work, you will do that without complaint. Lastly,if you feel that they breached your right,go to court and get justice, stop whinning like toddlers so as to invoke unnecessary sentiment. You guys should learn to play politics with maturity. 9 Likes |

TheSonOfMark:It takes an ilitrate,to tag Biafra a landlocked country! SOUTH EAST NIGERIA Political and Social Commentaries. CONTACT US ABOUT US HOME NEWS UPDATES S.E – CULTURE S.E – FEATURES S.E – HISTORY S.E – LEGISLATIVE NEWS S.E – POLITICS S.E – PROJECTS S.E- OPINIONS Submit Ever since the Abia State Government announced their intention to bring a Sea Port to the state, there have been many questions raised. I reached out to a source at the Government House, Umuahia to obtain clarity. I was told that the proposed location for the seaport is in Obuaku, Ukwa West, LGA. Right in Obuaku, there is a confluence point where the Imo River and the Blue River meet. The Obuaku confluence passes through Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom State. In Rivers state for instance, we have the Sea Port located in Onne, Eleme L.G.A. This is Nigeria’s busiest sea port and ranks as the largest sea port in west Africa. Did you know that while Rivers State sits 40 nautical miles away from the Atlantic Ocean, Obuaku is only 25 nautical miles to the Atlantic Ocean? To some, this talk about a sea port in Abia state may sound unrealistic but, it is not far fetched. Even if it does not get realized by the T. A administration, this legacy project will come to fruition in no distant time. 2 Likes |

Ojukwu fought to defend what was then Eastern region, because he is the Governor of Eastern region, and when anybody from Eastern region is being killed, whether Ibibio,Annang, etc,it is the responsibility of the government of Eastern Nigeria, ably led by the people's General,Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu,to defend them. 4 Likes |
